The food was eceptional as it always is at the Inn at Pound Ridge. This was only the second time that I have had dinner inside at a restuarant in the last year and I felt safe. The tables were set apart and the staff was appropriately masked and gloved.
I live in Pound Ridge and have been here several times. The ambiance was not the same as I remember since we had to sit upstairs - near a waiter station. Because of the pandemic, the distance, gloved waitstaff, and scan menu impacted the feeling but is completely understood. Service was slow to take our initial orders and serve dinners. It seems to have become more of a casual place with fine dining prices. Hopefully, the sparkle will return once the pandemic restrictions are over. It was not a sparkly birthday for me. :(
The salmon appetizer was the best thing ever! Wish we ordered more. The salmon and beef tenderloin entrees were superb. This was the first time I finished an entree in full - the shaved brussels sprouts were delicious.
Great food and nice time at brunch! Will be going back for brunch soon!
The restaurant is gorgeous. The waitress was lovely. The food was very good. I just found the prices of the drinks to be outlandish. $23 for a glass of Chardonnay seems a bit steep.l!
Consistent quality and service that never disappoints
Great as always.
Always great. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Enjoyed the wines.
We are regulars in the pound ridge inn and are never disappointed. The service is always very professional and friendly. We enjoy eating all our favourite foods , including the special crispy sushi, the margarita pizza and this time my husband enjoyed a new recipe for the salmon, with a delicious truffle sauce. And we always dessert with their Sunday.
We will be back.
Followed all CSC guidelines and more. Felt very safe and comfortable.
Wonderful meal the salmon was perfectly cooked.
The best cocktails I’ve had had outside of Manhattan.
Menus was not very interesting and black bass was well cooked but bland.
It was served with slabs of bland, mushy celeriac and a reasonable sauteed swiss chard.
It is extremely overpriced given the mediocrity of the menu. Perhaps Jean-Georges is catering to a what he believes is a less sophisticated, non-adventurous suburban taste.
The food does not hold up against other Jean Georges restaurants in Manhattan.
The service also was barely adequate. The waiter disappeared for a long period of time, re-appearing without any explanation or apology. We had to request her to take our order from the maitre d' who was well aware that we were unattended.
The best thing about the Inn is the decor and ambiance.
Menu very limited and uninspiring for evening fare. Lobster was a bit tough and with very little spice although listed as cooked with chilis. Needed a serrated knife to extract it from shell and had to ask for one. Bread was not warm and a rather dense underwhelming whole grain. Butternut squash soup also lacked any unique flavor.
Wine was great but expensive at $26 a single glass of cabernet.
Service was a bit slow but our delightful server made up for it. Overall value and dining experience were lacking and I would heartily suggest exploring elsewhere.
Been a bunch of times and always have had an amazing time. Food, drinks, service is always superb! One of my favorite spots in the world.
Me and my girlfriend consider the inn to be our spot.
It’s been a year since our last visit because of everything goin on and we love it more every time. Today was a late Valentine’s Day dinner but going to the Inn always feels like a special occasion.❤️
Superb! So great to be back doing some fine dining. The salmon sushi was especially spectacular!
It was great
Absolutely excellent evening. We were struck immediately by the ambiance. The lighting was exquisite and the minimalist decor combined elegantly designed organic materials that together left our entire party feeling warm, welcome and cared for. The food was, across the board, delicious without a single misstep on the part of the chef or kitchen. We recommend most highly: the kale salad, sushi appetizer, salmon and carrot cake. The service was also perfect. The hosts were quick, professional and welcoming when taking our temperatures and seating us. Our server was always there when we needed her, gave flawless recommendations when asked, and never imposed. The entire dinner was one of the best anyone in our group has had in a long while, and much needed in these nutso times. Thank you, and we can't wait to come back.
We had terrible service or lack thereof, and the food was not tasty.
The atmosphere, service, and quality of food are always outstanding. Can't wait to go again!
it was marvelous, had a great time and we loved it, thank you!
A big disappointment! The service was lacking from the second we were seated. The server seemed to be stretched too thin and it took 45 minutes to place our order. We had to constantly ask for service- from refilling the water on the table (3 times) to placing an order for all courses.
Food was fantastic. However, longest wait to receive food I can recall at any restaurant i've been to. Seated at 6 pm and no main course until past 7:30 pm. No discount on anything ordered and not even an apology or acknowledgement of how long it was taking to get food. I also sent an email to the restaurant and haven't heard back. Have never been so underwhelmed and disappointed when going to what is considered a top notch restaurant.
Really dislike not having an option of a real menu. Using technology this way is unnecessary and annoying
Nothing special about eggs Benedict
Pizza drinks were great
The lower level dining room has a great vibe. The waiter seemed afraid he would catch covid from us if he came closer than 2 feet to the table which made us feel uncomfortable. He told us that a tasting menu was available and then failed to tell us what was included with it. He didn’t know if the sea bass was from fresh or saltwater. The appetizers were excellent, salmon sushi and the kale salad. But the entrees disappointing. The fish had little flavor and the burgers were small for the price. Overall a big disappointment
Extremely good food, service was a little slow but it gave us time to enjoy our meal and each other
Wonderful food. Great service. Not too crowded. Everyone had a lovely time.
When I saw the negative reviews about bad service I was mentally prepared to receive it that night. BOY OH BOY were those negative reviews COMPLETELY WRONG! My experience from when I walked in to when I signed the check was IMPECCABLE! Dominika (I hope I spelled her name correctly) was absolutely FANTASTIC, along with the other kindly mannered staff!!! The food was how can I say “Never want to leave” DELICIOUS! The place was quiet with low crowd noise. Everyone was spaced perfectly for Covid Protocol. The whole atmosphere was perfect to the T. They really made my Wife and I’s 5th Wedding Anniversary a night to remember! And if I didn’t express it enough, we will be returning ;). Thank you guys again for a wonderful night.
Romantic and delicious! As always.
In an intentional respite from a frenzied Super Bowl Sunday, I traveled into adjoining Westchester County on well-plowed roads to the cozy warmth of The Inn at Pound Ridge. There is something reminiscent of New England: exposed beams and a fireplace, neighbors and families conversing, yet with the congenial panache and culinary excellence that is consistently associated with Jean-Georges Restaurants. Winter greens with crisp, paper-thin apple slices, hazelnuts, gruyere and a delicious dressing preceded one of his many signatures: salmon and a sprig of baby greens atop a housemade mustard and crisped rice. Since I had a drive back, my beverage was Meteor Pils. Dessert was the apple tarte-- perfect crust, apple-forward, and crumble-topped. Familiarity breeds admiration, not contempt, whenever I am dining at a Jean-Georges Restaurant.
manager was sarcastically rude to my guest. This was a bday gathering. food was not great...my beef tenderloin was supposed to be medium rare, was well done. not the same place it was a year ago...not even close.
Perfect ambience, delicious food and excellent service. Would go again.
we had a 7:30 reservation and were not seated until 8:00 p.m. Both our fish dishes were tasteless. Overpriced restaurant, terrible food.
Love the Inn. The service was slow but professional.
Always a special occasion even when it’s no occasion at all.
It was such a nice treat to go out again. The food was delicious and on point. The starter of salmon sushi is a highlight and special. We had the Sea Bass, monkfish, and chicken. All served to perfection with just the right sides. Dessert was amazing. The salted caramel dessert and apple tarte were the most understated descriptions but on the recommendation of our lovely server, we went with them and could not have been more satisfied. The drinks were just ok but may have been our order choice. The French 75 and the Manhattan; At 32$ a drink, a bit pricey although generous in serving.
As always the atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Service from the pleasant greeters taking our temperature to our wonderful server was friendly and warm
Food always exceptional, service terrific and ambiance superb. Could use to change up the menu more frequently.
The Inn at Pond Ridge had us wait 35 min past our reservation time to be seated. They did not been offer us a cocktail . I went to the bar when realized we were going to be waiting to order drinks. I thought it would have been appropriate to offer us the first round. Very disappointed as it set the tone for the rest of the meal.
The experience could have be marred by a disruption in the downstairs seating but they did their best to accommodate. We did wait a bit but ultimately it was worth it - we received a great table - it was my husband's birthday and the food was divine! Service was very good and the ambience which, has not always been our favorite upstairs, felt warm, comforting, and inviting. A lovely evening.
