The service was a little slow, we waited a while to be offered a drink and given a menu. The food was good value 2 course for £23 but the quality was mediocre. Such a shame as this hotel is local to me.

Waited ages, food at various temperatures, Cauliflower steak had strange turmeric sauce. Broccoli raw, billing just a disaster area never again ta. Waiting staff helpful but overcome by poor food and confusion over bill.

Service was excellent. However when we got the bill were surprised to see we were charged for Tap Water & also the House Wine that was £19 on the menu was £25 on the bill. I didn’t bring this is up (which is my fault) as the waiter who served us had been so polite & attentive.

We had two beef espetada ‘s as mains with salad and one chunky chips one fries. We didn’t have a starter as previously we couldn’t finish our main . We asked for medium rare . It came medium to well , two pieces I left as I couldn’t even cut with a knife. such a small portion , a little pot of chips and it was a side salad. Such a shame as it used to be great and we always walked as near home , we didn’t even stay for dessert or coffee as we were so disappointed.

We are regulars at the inn and our experience last night was amazing. Phil our waiter could not do enough for us and definitely deserved a mention!! The food was lovely, there was an issue with one of the mains but this was sorted quickly and nothing was too much hassle. Thank you for making our experience so special. We will be back soon!!

We came to eat and watch the football as it was your first night open again. Lovely friendly helpful staff as ever! We all enjoyed our food and there was plenty. I would like more fish on the menu as I don’t eat meat.

A pleasant and relaxing environment to have lunch, once you have made the effort to get there. The staff were very welcoming and the decor was pleasant too, in fact my lunch partner wanted to take the funky sofa home with her. The food and drink was very nice as was the service, not too pushy. I would certainly consider eating there again and would recommend The Inn & Bar to others.

A group of 5 of us chose this restaurant specifically because 1 member of the group is Vegan and there were a few options on the menu (rather than the usual curry one at most restaurants). Unfortunately, 3 of the 5 options were unavailable leaving just a burger or curry. The waiting staff were lovely though and general ambience was good. If we go again we will check availability of menu items before we go.

Half the menu unavailable, for main and for dessert. Booked for Sunday lunch and no Sunday lunch available, advertised pie as alternative no pie available. Advertised orea cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding for dessert but unavailable. Very disappointing, had given it a second chance after a previous bad experience a few years ago when there was a gas issue and we were stuck with them only being able to have certain dishes that time and hasn't improved this time. Won't be giving them a third chance.

We have stayed here in the past, five years ago, we were looking forward to the return, however, although life moves on and sometimes the past can be rose tinted, we walked away feeling the downward change was disappointing. Wine was delivered to the table with cap on, not even broken and waiter walked away. Starters were really nice, the main course just lacked a little. The waitress and Portuguese waiter were attentive and efficient but the overall experience lacked ambience. Unfortunately we probably won’t be going back, which is a shame, as stated at the start of this review we stayed and ate there several times up until 5 years ago. Turn the lights down a bit, train the drinks staff to pour the wine, and avoid serving steaks that taste like they had been frozen.

Dear Jersey Lovers Thank you for your feedback, I am of course disappointed that we did not meet your high expectations after some time away. I apologise for the wine not being poured as it should have been. Our team are all trying their best and some newer members of staff are still being brought up to speed with service. The restaurant is not particularly relaxing. We were sat in the middle of a run of tables very close to other guests and near the door. There were other tables available for the duration of our meal which would have felt more relaxing. The food was average pub food, we were a bit disappointed, my husband's steak was cooked well but not rested, and my salad was soggy, too much hummus and dressing. The staff were lovely, but did take a while to get us drinks. Don't think we will be going back.

Restaurant was cold and unwelcoming...selection choices were very limited...food quality and quantity was poor, wine selection very poor....overall, very disappointing experience, will not be returning.

We are currently running our Tennerfest and Vegifest menus during the Tennerfest season, with twice the choice of most Restaurants participating in the event. As you haven't included much detail I'm not sure of your issues with your food & wine choices, and I don't know if you spoke to our servers on the night who would have tried their best to help. We went there for an evening meal on the Tennerfest menu. They were out of stock of the ribs which was a shame. The first chicken espetada came out cold but the waitress sorted it out immediately with a replacement. Very mice ambience and good value menu. Staff very good. My partner left his bag behind and they called about 5 minutes after we left to let us know. We would go back again.
