The Italian Club Fish Restaurant
The Italian Club Fish is our take on fish, a marriage between British and Italian styles, heavily influenced by our Scottish - Italian background.
As a Fish Caffé, many of our ingredients are subject to availability. We will always endeavor to bring you a like for like product! All our dishes are prepared from fresh, so it may take a little longer, but will be worth the wait.
The basis of our cooking, is extra virgin oil, freshly prepared vegetables and fish stocks, that render our dishes light and healthy.

Great menu with quality food and wine and friendly and helpful staff
Excellent food with friendly service. A splendid meal
Fantastic food and atmosphere as expected. Even accommodated a last minute change to our booking. Would definitely recommend.
My mums choice of restaurant for Mother’s Day. Not being a fish lover I was worried what to order. I chose a dish with a mixture of fish and absolutely loved it! The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was great. A thoroughly enjoyable evening
Good all round service food and ambiance
I am such a fool for went to the wrong place, the italian club instead of italian club fish. Didnt realize it until the main dish came up, however i really enjoyed my time at the italian club. Tasty food and friendly staff.
I went to the italian club fish to explain the whole situation. The staff was so nice to cancel my booking.
Definitely gonna visit on my next liverpool visit.
Went to this restaurant with some friends. They went back the following evening !
Visited the restuarant during a 3night mid week break. Found the restuarant on line with good reviews
The food was excellent and they catered for a gluten free guest without any problem. The only thing that was suprising there wern't many other diners in the place.
We have eaten at the Italian Club Fish Restaurant for many years and we have always enjoyed the full experience. The food and the Staff are excellent, always.
Excellent service and food. Acceptable waiting time. Lovely ambience and we could all hear each other speak.. Will definitely recommend to others. Have enjoyed meals in the sister restaurant further down Bold Street.
My biggest regret was not being able to take home the remains of the sea food platter, ie the shells, to make of fish stock.
My only suggestion is that the sea food platter dish requires a lot more napkins!
Great meal though.
Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit here, the food staff and venue all superb.
We chatted to other diners either side of us and they had visited previously and would return again.
This is without doubt an excellent fish restaurant and we will dine there again for certain in the not too distant future.
I've eaten at the Italian Club Fish several times now, and it's always a great experience. The food is fantastic, the waiting staff are attentive and friendly and the ambience of the place is always really great.
I had the swordfish for my main and it was probably the best swordfish I've tasted. It was just slightly charred on one side from the griddle pan and combined with the butter and the lemon flavours contributed to a great experience for me and my partner.
The wine selection is fabulous and pairs well with the fish. We had a bottle of pinot grigio and the pear really brought out the flavours of the food.
Bargain deserts too! Thanks again.
We went here as my son and his girlfriend highly recommended it. I had the seafood pasta, which was lovely, but my husband had the seafood risotto which was very disappointing. Quite tasteless really. I reluctantly swapped halfway through the meal so he could try mine. He didn’t want to swap back! The bread to start with was a bit too thin and crunchy. The olives were very nice though.
I wouldn’t rush back, but I probably would go again at some point .
Food was good. Beer battered king prawns were excellent. Service however was really poor. Non attentive, barely a word from the waitresses, waited almost 20 minutes just to order drinks. Cold and awkward place to eat.
I can only state that everything was very good. The only thing I would suggest would be a few less covers laid. Unused tables do create a feeling of claustrophobia.
Great friendly efficient service ,coped well with my wife’s nut allergy , our fault not restaurant for failing to notify them. Fabulous fish , well presented and prepared . The best fish restaurant we have sampled in Liverpool
It was OK, but would not go again. Nothing special, but nothing bad either.
We were a group of 4 - you could not fault the food or service. First time in this resturant and eating in the Bold Strret area of Liverpool. It was a packed Saturday night but every thing was spot on...Thank you
As frequent diners at the Italian Club - we decided to try Italian Club Fish. We weren’t disappointed, probably the best fish restaurant in
Liverpool , excellent fish cooked with care
Probably the best fish restaurant in Liverpool at the moment.
The best restaurant during my 11-day trip in UK. Will definitely go again. Worth a trip to Liverpool for this restaurant!!
Restaurant was excellent, we found this place last year and had to go back. Food / drink was amazing and staff are excellent
Early dinner before going to the arena.
10mins walk from central station.
Greeted on arrival shown straight to table.
Very busy as it was around Xmas.
Food excellent fish pie piping hot and full of fish and creamy sauce. Almond and chocolate pudding to die for went well with the cappuccino. Would definitely go again.
Have visited this restaurant on several occasions over recent years and have never been disappointed with the food or service. As its name would suggest, this is the place to go if you appreciate good fish beautifully cooked.
Went for a birthday and it was good. Overall we could have been in and out in 45 mins but the wine slowed us down as service was quick
Delicious food served by very friendly staff of a lovely chatty environment. Perfect!
Great quality food at reasonable value
Service was great
Definitely will return
Great fresh shellfish. Oysters brilliant taste and size, bargain with glass of wine for £1. The prawn and fresh pasta dish was perfectly balanced and delicious. Service friendly and patient going out of their way to attend to detail. I particularly like the emphasis on the optional nature of the calculated 10% tip. Although they didn't appear to have our booking via open tables this was soon put right although we were put upstairs (3 flights). The atmosphere up there was fine.
Very nice setting, great table. Staff pleasant and accomodating. Service was very slow around 45min. We were rushed by a train timetable so had to eat and run as food was so long but generally a good experience.
Italian Club Fish was a bit of a mixed bag. My risotto starter and halibut main we’re fine, but my wife’s Scallops were a little tasteless and covered in a rather redundant crumb. Cheese was tasty once it warmed up. The wine was a good Falanghina, an Italian white wine too rarely seen over here. We have to commend our young waiter (we didn’t get his name) who kindly brought another glass of wine when another diner knocked hers over.
I booked online which was simple and received a text reminder...useful! The food was beautifully cooked and tasty and the wine list was impressive. Our friends thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience as did I. I would not hesitate to recommend to others for all occasions.
Had stumbled across this restaurant earlier this trip on a business trip from Scotland and on a return visit to the theatre this time could think of no where better to go. Great oysters and fab mains.they know how to cook their seafood, wow. Will be back
Great! Thank you so much. A very enjoyable meal AS ALWAYS!
Excellent service and food was exceptional I emailed for a Birthday cake and it was provided with minimum fuss and tasted delicious x
We had a very enjoyable meal at ICFR. The food and service were great and there is a very nice atmosphere. A little bit pricey but really very nice.
Went here for a 50th birthday dinner, nice glass of complementary prosecco for birthday girl on arrival. The menu is lovely! Amazing selection of fish dishes. Tried oysters for the first time which were nice. It’s an intimate restaurant which was nice, like a bistro vibe. Prices are a little expensive I would say for portion size. Service was good, attentive but not over the top. The one thing I didn’t like was adding a service charge of 10% our bill was £200 which included an expensive bottle of champagne so it makes the champagne £6 more expensive! Do this for groups of a certain size not a table of 4. It does say discretionary but you feel obligated to pay it. If you’re going to add this make sure the service is the best ever given.
First visit would definitely dine again had the sea bass with the risotto which was very good
Food was as always buonissimo
We have been in the past .we tried to get a table for the saturday night all booked up.So we had to stay another night in liverpool so we eat here.I was not going home without eating spaghetti alle vongole. buoneeee
We travelled to Liverpool and researching "Seafood" restaurants we opted for Italian Club Fish - excellent choice with great service and fantastic food. We will return and would highly recommend. The food was reasonably priced (perhaps except the specials) fresh and delicious.
