About The Italian Club Fish Restaurant

Following the successful launch of our sister venture, The Italian Club, further down Bold Street, we are delighted to bring you The Italian Club Fish.
The Italian Club Fish is our take on fish, a marriage between British and Italian styles, heavily influenced by our Scottish - Italian background.
As a Fish Caffé, many of our ingredients are subject to availability. We will always endeavor to bring you a like for like product! All our dishes are prepared from fresh, so it may take a little longer, but will be worth the wait.
The basis of our cooking, is extra virgin oil, freshly prepared vegetables and fish stocks, that render our dishes light and healthy.

When Frank Sinatra, Al Pacino and Sly Stallone look down on you from the walls you know you are in a restaurant with roots in Italy. No surprise then to find an eclectic mix of traditional pastas with adventurous sauces, simple ingredients and flavours that transport you to the heat of Sicily or the light breezes of the Amalfi coast. First visit certainly did not disappoint. Early evening I'm sure the atmosphere livens up as the restaurant gets busy, we were only one of the three tables occupied. The food exceptional. So much better than a number of high profile Italian restaurants in Liverpool.

Very tasty food, served with excelling service. The dishes are primarily fish and seafood but there are also non-fish dishes to choose from. If you like oysters then you will be pleased as they are affordable and delicious.

The Italian Club Fish Restaurant in Liverpool should not be confused with its partner restaurant just down the road. The menu is much more interesting and versatile. The food was hot and tasty and cooked very well. The sea bream and samphire was sumptuous, and the spaghetti with seafood was plentiful and delicious. The tiramisu would have benefited from a stronger coffee flavour. Buzzy atmosphere, with very pleasant and receptive service

the Italian club fish restaurant serves the absolutely best fish and chips and loads of other meals besides. We arrived too early and the manager offered to come and get us from a local bar - how is that for excellent customer service?

My partner and I had a romantic birthday meal in Italian Clubfish, Bold St, Liverpool early evening in Feb 2012. It was perfect! Perfect ambience, chic decor, fantastic food (Oysters, scallops, lobster & delicious Italian ice cream), fab wine, liqueur coffee, good value for money as whole lot was under £80 for 2 of us and we had the more expensive items on the menu. The service was exceptional - wonderful friendly & professional. Staff made me a special delicious dessert with a tea light and happy birthday written in chocolate round edge of the plate and all stood around the table and sang Happy Birthday to me (in tune). It was magical. We love it and would recommend it to anyone for a romantic meal or a good night out with friends.

As usual a lovely, warm welcome at the Italian Club Fish restaurant in Liverpool. Service very good as usual, efficient and friendly. For starters mackerel rare-bit and shellfish - both very good. Sea bream and Welsh Sea bass for mains, both from the excellent specials board and both excellent. The sea bream was actually outstanding! Would heartily recommend to any one.

Enjoyable but would have been even better if they were expecting us! Even though I booked through open table we were not booked in and the restaurant didn’t have a clue we were coming! Bit embarrassing as it was my birthday and I had organised it, fortunately they did fit us in but I did feel as though we were a bit of a problem on arrival.

This was our second visit, and the quality and cooking of fish was superb last time. This time most of the fish had sold, as it was Sunday night. Disappointing for us, but a good sign that the fish is bought fresh. Mondays may present the same problem. The scallops we had were perfectly cooked , with delicious garnish. Faultless. Brilliantly grilled monkfish for me, an lovely John Dory for my husband, although a simpler method of cooking would have suited the fish better, and showcased its quality.
Still.. this is an excellent place, with super friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgable staff. Will be back!

We really enjoyed our visit to Liverpool and the Italian Fish Restaurant helped to make it so good. The starters were lovely, especially the scallops on black pudding and the haddock rarebit. We all chose meals from the Specials Board - Seabass, Lemon Sole, Sea Bream and Swordfish - and all were delicious. Chips, potatoes and mixed veg were very tasty too. The only problem was that the Lemon sole had a few bones left in after I had asked for it to be filleted but my husband swapped meals with me and only found one more bone so just me being fussy! Quite a rustic feel to the place. Service was very friendly and efficient. Nice crisp white wine (Orvietto) went well with all meals.

 (Surrey)·Dined on 7 March 2012

The Italian Club Fish Restaurant in Liverpool is an offshoot of another restaurant down the road; and I am afraid it showed. The food was excellent: we both had well-cooked pasta, one with prawns and one with lobster, in a tomato sauce, preceded b y the most delicious tuna carpaccio and a seafood salad. But the service was less organised, with three young waitresses running around (and around) and no-one clearly running the place.

Wonderful seafood at The Italian Club Fish Restaurant. Superb scallops (with blackpudding and bacon) and tuna carpaccio to start, followed by probably the best haddock supper I've ever had (cooked to perfection) and crab risotto. Top that off with some nice wine, homemade ice cream and coffee. While difficult to find the Italian side of the dinner it was excellent, and we'll definitely go back.

Italian Club Fish Restaurant, Liverpool
First time here, and a very good find. Friendly service, excellent food - not many Italian fish restaurants around! A cut above your average Italian restaurant - between us, we had a delicious courgette and lime risotto, scallops, sea bass and lobster - all perfectly cooked. Perhaps not the best choice if you're in a rush, as the food doesn't come quickly - but as it says on the menu, everything is cooked fresh, so no complaints. Will definitely return.

Food was nice in parts. Service was ok. Friendly staff. Very pricey menu. Took my son out for a treat as he had been struggling with his GCSEs and adores fish. Didn't realise until after we ordered, that there is a small sign on the bar that says "Service charge charged at a discretionary rate, regardless of table size". It really is too. They charged us 10% service charge, which I can only assume is because I asked for a side plate for my son to eat his food off, as he had ordered a hot sizzling platter, and I didn't want him to get burnt. If I'd known it was going to be so expensive, I'd have gone got him a plate myself. I'm just glad it was only the two of us, imagine the charge they'd have given if I had taken my other son and husband too! My budget hadn't accounted for the restaurant thinking they deserved a £6 tip. Not authentic feeling either, having to suffer through listening to Adele warble away nice and loud while we tried to eat was not pleasant. Not great value for money this restaurant. The prawns are really nice though. Won't visit again, unless we win the lottery.
