The Italian Club Fish Restaurant
The Italian Club Fish is our take on fish, a marriage between British and Italian styles, heavily influenced by our Scottish - Italian background.
As a Fish Caffé, many of our ingredients are subject to availability. We will always endeavor to bring you a like for like product! All our dishes are prepared from fresh, so it may take a little longer, but will be worth the wait.
The basis of our cooking, is extra virgin oil, freshly prepared vegetables and fish stocks, that render our dishes light and healthy.

Probably the best fish restaurant in Liverpool at the moment.
The best restaurant during my 11-day trip in UK. Will definitely go again. Worth a trip to Liverpool for this restaurant!!
Restaurant was excellent, we found this place last year and had to go back. Food / drink was amazing and staff are excellent
Early dinner before going to the arena.
10mins walk from central station.
Greeted on arrival shown straight to table.
Very busy as it was around Xmas.
Food excellent fish pie piping hot and full of fish and creamy sauce. Almond and chocolate pudding to die for went well with the cappuccino. Would definitely go again.
Have visited this restaurant on several occasions over recent years and have never been disappointed with the food or service. As its name would suggest, this is the place to go if you appreciate good fish beautifully cooked.
Went for a birthday and it was good. Overall we could have been in and out in 45 mins but the wine slowed us down as service was quick
Delicious food served by very friendly staff of a lovely chatty environment. Perfect!
Great quality food at reasonable value
Service was great
Definitely will return
Great fresh shellfish. Oysters brilliant taste and size, bargain with glass of wine for £1. The prawn and fresh pasta dish was perfectly balanced and delicious. Service friendly and patient going out of their way to attend to detail. I particularly like the emphasis on the optional nature of the calculated 10% tip. Although they didn't appear to have our booking via open tables this was soon put right although we were put upstairs (3 flights). The atmosphere up there was fine.
Very nice setting, great table. Staff pleasant and accomodating. Service was very slow around 45min. We were rushed by a train timetable so had to eat and run as food was so long but generally a good experience.
Italian Club Fish was a bit of a mixed bag. My risotto starter and halibut main we’re fine, but my wife’s Scallops were a little tasteless and covered in a rather redundant crumb. Cheese was tasty once it warmed up. The wine was a good Falanghina, an Italian white wine too rarely seen over here. We have to commend our young waiter (we didn’t get his name) who kindly brought another glass of wine when another diner knocked hers over.
I booked online which was simple and received a text reminder...useful! The food was beautifully cooked and tasty and the wine list was impressive. Our friends thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience as did I. I would not hesitate to recommend to others for all occasions.
Had stumbled across this restaurant earlier this trip on a business trip from Scotland and on a return visit to the theatre this time could think of no where better to go. Great oysters and fab mains.they know how to cook their seafood, wow. Will be back
Great! Thank you so much. A very enjoyable meal AS ALWAYS!
Excellent service and food was exceptional I emailed for a Birthday cake and it was provided with minimum fuss and tasted delicious x
We had a very enjoyable meal at ICFR. The food and service were great and there is a very nice atmosphere. A little bit pricey but really very nice.
Went here for a 50th birthday dinner, nice glass of complementary prosecco for birthday girl on arrival. The menu is lovely! Amazing selection of fish dishes. Tried oysters for the first time which were nice. It’s an intimate restaurant which was nice, like a bistro vibe. Prices are a little expensive I would say for portion size. Service was good, attentive but not over the top. The one thing I didn’t like was adding a service charge of 10% our bill was £200 which included an expensive bottle of champagne so it makes the champagne £6 more expensive! Do this for groups of a certain size not a table of 4. It does say discretionary but you feel obligated to pay it. If you’re going to add this make sure the service is the best ever given.
First visit would definitely dine again had the sea bass with the risotto which was very good
Food was as always buonissimo
We have been in the past .we tried to get a table for the saturday night all booked up.So we had to stay another night in liverpool so we eat here.I was not going home without eating spaghetti alle vongole. buoneeee
We travelled to Liverpool and researching "Seafood" restaurants we opted for Italian Club Fish - excellent choice with great service and fantastic food. We will return and would highly recommend. The food was reasonably priced (perhaps except the specials) fresh and delicious.
Been before did not disappoint xxx recommend to my friends and it did not disappoint xx
We went for a Birthday meal, this was our second visit - and it definitely won’t be our last. Fantastic menu, attentive and informative staff, beautifully presented food.
The food was absolutely amazing. If you love seafood - this is the place to go. Highly recommended!
I went with my friend and both our daughters. It was Saturday night so it was busy. Both the food and the service was fantastic. We went especially for the fish and it didn't let us down. There was a good selection of wine. I would definitely recommend and we will be going again ad all our husbands were jealous.
This has to be the finest Italian restaurant in Liverpool. Wonderful Italian food cooked and served with true Italian passion. Can't wait to come again...
Just stay at Liverpool for 1 night, lucky we select The Italian Club Fish Restaurant. Valued for money, good food and services. Surprising good, not only fresh ingredients, but also tasty cooking. One more highlight, restaurant did offer starter size. It is situational for small group or couple who want to enjoy more dishes.
We are Asian Couple, and order Oyster, Risotte, Scallop starter. Delicious.
Lovely fresh seafood cooked well. Staff were lovely as was the atmosphere
Hard to find a seafood restaurant in Liverpool but this was great. Close to the city centre so easy to find if you don't know the area. It was very busy pre-theatre so noisy and bustling - not my favourite atmosphere for a restaurant, but the food was fabulous and the service attentive. Would visit again, and would definitely recommend.
as a visitor from Germany I booked this place in advance for a special occasion because of the menu (seen online) and I was more than pleased. Would come back every day if I could, for the freshness of food and the hospitality.
Being our first visit to Liverpool we went on general searches for fish restaurants, and being an oyster lover this tipped the balance. On arrival it has a lovely authentic buzzy atmosphere, friendly staff and quick to take our drinks order. I fell in love immediately, the menu had lots of tasty fish and pasta dishes with a good wine selection by glass and bottle. I had the oysters which were Devine, husband opting for traditional prawn cocktail which was given an 'okay'. For mains we ordered Turbut, fries and chilli and garlic samphire, and the royal fish pie. These where both unfortunately disappointing, the turbut was nicely seared but nothing special, fries where chunky anaemic chips with a wilted and sad looking samphire on the side. Presentation disappointing, cooking and flavour adverage at best. Husbands fish pie was presented in quite a shallow dish, with plenty of good mash leaving not very much depth for fish, of which the advertised lobster was elusive. Apart from the oysters I'm afraid we could have cooked theses dishes to a better standard at home, sorry.
Unfortunately, a disappoint visit. Starters we’re good. Main course was too salty, over priced and not as described. Seafood Risotto started ‘shellfish, prawns and langoustines’ there was 1 prawn and 1 langoustine and some tiny muscles and clams, far too salty and cost almost £16. Wine was not very chilled. Profiterole was stale. The toilet had ripped wallpaper and the restaurant itself had chipped paintwork, not a good luck. Husband said he hoped the kitchen was cleaner than the men’s toilet. rip off Britain at its best (and British) Won’t revisit sorry.
Booked a table for 4 for my birthday. Charming, helpful & friendly service. Interesting & varied menu, with a number of daily specials. Food was delicious & well presented, with fresh ingredients. Really high standard of cuisine, washed down with an excellent bottle of Gavi di Gavi. Couldn't fault it!
Delicious fish and seafood. Excellent service. Will definitely go again if I'm in the area. Would recommend to any fish lover.
First time visit to Liverpool, restaurant recommended by a foodie friend of a friend who lives in Liverpool.
There were six of us and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals.
We all enjoyed our meals, the fish pie was delicious. Wine list was good and service was very friendly and efficient.i would definitely recommend for a group dinner. We were 4 and it was really delightful. Thanks.
Booked this restaurant for my daughters 25th birthday treat, she has recently given up meat in favour of fish. She ate Oysters for the first time in her life and absolutely loved them, I think I have unleashed a monster! All in all lovely meal, great service and a great evening had by our party of six. Will be back.
excellent food and service - fish was very nice indeed . Felt a little rushed at first but they slowed down when requested to do so and were very friendly and attentive.
Great restaurant. We often have a meal there.Peaceful, quiet and very friendly staff. In Fact.It is the only restaurant I do recommend.
Disappointing after seeing very good reviews. Langoustines were overcooked, fish pie main seemed to have been frozen and reheated as sauce was very watery.
Pudding of lemon meringue pie was awful. Obviously bought in. A pity.
Exceptionally friendly staff, both courteous and efficient, Prices were competitive especially as seafood has expensive components and were served promptly. Seasoning was fine and quality of food was good.good atmosphere in the restaurant and worth a visit.
This was a return visit and the food was, once again, exceptional. Will plan to return soon!!
