My 2nd trip to Ivy Asia in Brighton and I can honestly say it is sublime! It is not like going out for dinner it is like arriving at an experience which doesn't end at the entrance. The food is so deliciously tasty and presented in the most stunning way with an explosion of flavours in every dish. Both of my trips have been an absolute delight and I have over ordered on both occasions because I want to try everything on the menu! The service has been faultless from entering to leaving and I must thank our attendant Jasmine/Yasmine, a bright, smiley, enthusiastic member of the Ivy Asia team. The place itself is just beautiful, so many things to look at and take in. I hate people taking photos in restaurants but you can't help it, the decor is so unbelievable you need photographic evidence to share with friends. I do have just 2 criticisms.. 1. I was excited to see the ladies facilities for another explosion of beauty and was very disappointed to be steered into the Ivy next door to use the facilities in there. However my husband took a photo of a rather magnificent warrior just hanging about in the men's room. 2. The DJ played techno tunes which to be honest could have been the same one on a loop and once the lights are dimmed the music is turned up to the point where if you are dining with more than 2 people is very difficult to hold a conversation without saying "eh? pardon? speak up I can't hear you over the techno beat!" It is unnecessary and we ended our evening because conversation was getting difficult. Maybe that is the reason, instead of a bell to mark 'Time Gentlemen Please' The music is ramped up instead lol.

Very good food and they’ve clearly gone to a lot of trouble to furnish it in a very interesting way - I liked it. I love that the Brasserie and Asia restaurants are linked. The front door reception was impeccable, the service was good, but we had to ask to order more drinks and they took a long while to arrive. Would benefit from introducing a dress code. Overall a fun experience.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome and the decor is a visual feast of colour that just keeps unfolding. The order and share concept is great and enables you to try lots of new tempting dishes. There were 4 of us, our daughter is gluten and dairy free and she was able to enjoy what she wanted from her menu. As for the 3 of us we went for 2 small plates each (6 in total for 3), 2 large plates and 4 sides all to share. As for the Samurai pudding ... well super yum and a definite must for all chocolate lovers. The ambience is buzzy and vibrant, we ate earlier than normal and were there for 3.5 hours. All in all super amazing dining experience and one you must really try

Very disappointing not sure what the how feel was supposed to be and the service and food order was terrible . It was explained that the food would come out as and when all our veg Came out with starters and so our large dishes had no accompaniment .The music was unbearably loud and the wait for the drinks was so ridiculous .

Certain items on the menu were not available, the duck for example, which was disappointing and we were not told before we arrived, as we may have cancelled if we had known the menu was going to be so restricted. We were only allowed to order the duck if we had the 4 person experience, which we didn't actually want.

Ivy Asia is a great addition to culinary scene in Brighton. Excellent dishes..well presented and innovative. Quite expensive when alcohol is added but certainly no more so than a similar London venue. Only downside is the obvious speed at which they expedite your time at your table. Timed visits are often uncomfortable as you feel rushed..but the price one pays for going to such a popular venue. Overall an extremely enjoyable experience.

On arrival, the DJ cranked up the noise to a deafening level. We asked for a quieter table but there was none available, so we left and went next door to the (much quieter) Ivy Brighton. We won't be going back to the Asia again.

The food was amazing but the music was SO LOUD it was absolutely impossible to have any sort of conversation, which was very disappointing and made for an uncomfortable night. The management are clearly trying to mimic Sexy Fish, but Sexy Fish crank the music up at 11.00PM when people have finished eating and want to dance on the tables, not at 8.00PM. Such a shame - please sort the music out, it’s a restaurant not a night club!

Wonderful place and great atmosphere, but… If you are gluten intolerant like me, you’d only be able to chose only from 1/3 of the mine, meaning you’d not be able to have any of the favourites like duck or the sharing platters. Makes your choices very limited and not basic really. Our waitress was lovely but food was very slow to come. Also it was my birthday but my husband got his food first and I had to wait for mine longer. At the end I got a free desert with a candle in if AFTER I already ordered and ate my desert which was the same, thought it was a bad move as they should either just put a candle into the one I ordered or bring the free one before I did. Such a shame as really the place itself it awesome but the overall experience definitely wasn’t!

Family birthday on Pride Saturday so expecting a lively fun atmosphere - and it was! Had one year old twins with us so the less formal vibe was perfect. Food was good, staff attentive and friendly. Quieter tables available upstairs but we had a fun time downstairs. Might not have been best vibes for couples.

The restaurant has amazing decor, the food was fabulous and the staff were very attentive and also knowledgeable about the food and wine. The only downside for us was the noise levels, be mindful if you want an intimate meal where you can hear each other and not be overheard. However this did not spoil the evening at all.

Having booked Ivy Asia for a celebratory 50th birthday I have to say I felt let down for several reasons. I pre ordered the lunch stack and in addition added a cocktail, when I explained this to the initial server she had no idea what I was referring too, over talked me and repeatedly told me to ask the next server. Next server arrived and I explained again and she placed the drinks order, 25 minutes later and once I had started to eat, cocktails arrived. When dessert was delivered to the table (by 3 servers) the one who placed the desserts on the table dropped on the floor something from the plate, he immediately picked the item from the floor and put it back on my plate with my food. He was told by one of the other servers (within our earshot) “Don’t” which was awkward and uncomfortable. However the dessert was left with us with said item that had been on the floor on the plate, with my food. While we were then eating dessert a server came over cleared my partners extra dessert dishes left his ice cream and took all of his cutlery . I was still eating mine at the time . He couldn't finish his as he had no spoon!!!! At this point we were both just flabbergasted and this was enough. What a shambles of a service to say the very least. When the meal was done I caught the eye of a colleague who I asked if there were and proceeded to explain all the above, she did acknowledge the drinks wait but the other issues almost disregarded and with humour added “maybe it will be better on your next visit” Having been a regular Ivy client for sometime time I have to say the experience has somewhat tarnished my view of the Ivy and I would definitely think twice before considering a revisit or even promoting this restaurant to others.

We normally go to the Ivy in Brighton as it is a favourite of ours. As it was our wedding anniversary we thought we would try Ivy Asia for a change. We found the decor lovely, but the tables for two are too close together and small - especially given that the menu is a tapas one which means once the dishes start arriving you are left with very little room. We had expected to be restricted on the menu because of our allergies, but the food that was delivered to the table - especially the chicken skewers were luke warm. I mentioned this to the waiting staff an she said she would report our feedback to the kitchen. Was this dining experience a 'wow'...sadly not. Whilst the food is okay - the pork dumplings were over salty and spicy - and I like spicy food but this was to much even for me. We didn't have a dessert or starters. Sorry to report this but we really expected more for Ivy Asia...two disappointed customers.
