   An amazing venue with beautiful decor, but the service was slow and we twice had to ask the waiter to find out where our drinks were. We ate downstairs which isn’t as nice as upstairs. Overall it was an experience but the service let it down and the actual food was ok, but not of the standard you would expect considering the price.

   Food is really good, lots of choices and great flavours. Service could be better with more attentive waiting. Waited a long time to order food drinks and had to ask twice for another drink.

   Food was good and the staff were nice however it took us 25 minutes to get our plates taken away despite everyone else around us being served. Was just being ignored for the most part. 1/2 Our plates were eventually taken and then the others were left for another 10 minutes. Didn’t stay for desert due to wait and when bill came there was an added 13% service charge! Didn’t pay the whole thing as over £10 for nearly a 30 minute wait is ridiculous. I don’t think that an added services charge is appropriate for small tables, if it was a large party I would understand but for just a couple of people it should be up to them if they tip or not. Otherwise it guilt trips people into tipping more than they think is earned.

   We arrived 5 minutes before our table was booked. We were sat at the bar and we weren’t seated until 40 minutes later. The service was extremely slow. We purchased 2 bottles of champagne at £100 a bottle and were given wine glasses, so we had to ask for flutes. It was a special birthday which we had noted in the booking and yet nothing was mentioned for that birthday. Overall the service was slow, very unfriendly. Having been to The Ivy Asia in London where we had an amazing experience, it was very disappointing.

   Food good. Service a bit shocking. Convoluted and unnecessarily long explanations of the menu at the start. Then food was dumped and we were left with no plates to eat it from. Despite plenty waiters on the floor, we eventually had to get up from the table and collar someone to provide plates. Whole service experience was very amateurish and well, just bad.

    Quite theatrical with some entertaining serving bowls etc (eg metal crab, dry ice etc). Food was very good. Service initially a bit hit and miss.

    It’s big it’s brash it’s over the top but that’s all in it’s charm. Ivy Asia is a technicolor spectacle and such a fun addition to Tunsgate Quarter in Guildford. Favorite dishes definitely the pork and kimchi dumplings (absolutely packed with flavor), the prawn tempura (perfect batter, extra crispy) and the yellowtail sashimi (truffle and yuzu were very subtle and not overpowering). Great for birthdays and fun nights out with friends. Absolutely love it and will be back on and on.

    The Ivy Asia in Guilford looks amazing. Table decor and interior design make a great impression. The cocktails were amazing but food slightly disappointed although there were presented were well. I would definitely go back for more drinks and different dishes.

    Lovely food in a very glitzy restaurant. I would recommended going for more starters and less mains as you will get much more variety of really interesting food. The wine is unnecessarily expensive. I am happy to pay for top quality interesting food but overcharging for the wine just takes the edge off the overall restaurant experience.

    This place is amazing! From the decor and the excellent service to the incredibly tasty food, it’s a must-visit! They go above and beyond if you’re celebrating something and considering how popular it is, you don’t wait long for your food. The spicy edamame beans are a MUST!

    This was our first visit to this restaurant for our family of 4. Whilst we really enjoyed the food, the menu wasn’t explained to us fully- small plates etc. We asked advice from the waiter who suggested 3 small plates and 2 main plates, 1 side of rice and 1 side of noodles. This was woefully inadequate for our family, and we left feeling hungry. We witnessed other staff fully engaging with guests explaining all aspects of the menu. Shame this wasn’t our experience.

    Fabulous ambience and great food although peking duck was dry this time. Service needs more attention. Our food came far too quickly - didn't hv time to finish drink. Wasn't asked about wine order. I had to ask for a glass of wine with dinner. Seemed they were rushed.

    First time as a family to The Ivy Asia and it did not disappoint. We had the sharing platter for 4 and we absolutely loved every course and how beautifully it was presented. The service was excellent and ambiance was just perfect. We will be back for sure!

    This was our second visit to Ivy Asia and unfortunately although the food was lovely on both occasions our order was not correct. First time I got the wrong dessert (the most expensive one on the menu) and yesterday part of our order was missed (the only thing my stepdaughter wanted to eat) which delayed our meal. This was probably due to, on both occasions we waiter not writing down our order. Food was lovely, ambience was lovely but overall just left very disappointed at what was a very expensive lunch.

    The service and food were fantastic. My only gripe was that the music was too loud and did not add to the ambience, it sounded too much like dance music and too Western, resulting in difficulty in understanding the staff and very loud conversational levels.

    We LOVED the food... all delicious .. and the interiors are very impressive. However, there are clearly some staffing issues going on. First the wait for drinks was too long. The food .. we opted for small, sharing plates, came fairly promptly .. but then halted. It was an uncomfortable pause and we were uncertain if the order had been forgotten. It arrived eventually, having asked twice .. the side dish of noodles being the last plate, when all the other dishes were finished. Though the deserts looked interesting we decided to pass as the whole meal had been rather stressful. We noted other customers seeming the same as us. On our exit the maitre d did apologise for the delays, which we appreciated. However, all said, it is early days, and if Asia can become as staff efficient as its sister across the way, it will be excellent. We will definitely be giving it another try.

    Disappointing visit, service was very slow. 40 mins for our wine to be served, 50 mins for the food to arrive, and then was served a dish we didn't order. Always had good service until last night. The waitress was out of her depth, she didn't explain the food on the platters well, lucky I had been before and could explain what was what to my friends. Not happy as this was for a friend's 40th birthday meal.

    The most amazing food in the most amazing setting. The service was great and atmosphere was brilliant. Would highly recommend the Gochujang glazed fried chicken and the Sohere for desert. Incredible!

    The food and theatre of the delivery was great. The adding of the 15% service charge was a bit of a shock as it increased my already considerable bill by a further £44!! I think in this economic climate you need to be mindful of this.

    First visit exceptional. This visit disappointing. Seated in bar downstairs rather than main restaurant. Long wait for drinks to arrive (25mins). Ordered selection of small plates. One came out wrong - no apology and what we actually ordered never arrived. Beef wgyu maki roll was missing its bbq glaze (this only dawned on us after we left and were discussing how differently it tasted this time). Crispy duck was fatty rather than crispy. Wrong small plate order still added to our bill in error. All in all very disappointing particularly as it was our 30th wedding anniversary.
