A group of 5 of us visited here for a friends birthday. Lovely ambience and the place is beautiful. We decided to all go with the experience menu, 4 with the meat/fish options and myself the vegetarian. However when I asked if it was possible to have the fish options as I’m pescatarian I was told by the waiter no and that I would have to have something else off the main menu, I declined and just decided to go with the vegetarian option. We didn’t really understand why this couldn’t be done? Surely the chefs could just do a few extra. We all enjoyed the food,however with the mains we had all finished when they then bought out the rice, which you could tell from the waiters face they had messed up! The deep fried vegetables everyone agreed were far to greasy to the point they made you feel sick. Would I return yes, but maybe they should think more about the customers needs over the theatre of the food.

I have previously dined at Ivy Asia in Mayfair but this time at St.Pauls was not a very good experience for myself and my out of town business associate. We arrived early to experience a few cocktails in the cocktail bar before dining, as this was written about. We were bluntly told it was not possible as it was full and were told to go somewhere else whilst waiting. When we returned, we were kept waiting in what reminded us of a train station waiting room where people just stood around, no seating, no information. We were kept waiting for about 20 minutes after our reservation time and we had to remind the girl in reception (that’s the one without the customer service training course) several times but she would not commit to giving us a time, just said we had to wait. 2 people arrived from the street obviously known to the receptionist, which we overheard had no booking and they walked straight in to the restaurant. Although nice decor in the restaurant the service was not professional. Loud Electronic music was not to our taste but that’s a subjective view. We had booked a festive menu but this was not on offer or mentioned by the apparently bored waiting staff. Not a good overall impression and certainly not a place I want to experience again.

On arrival, the waitress at reception did not make feel us welcome - no smile or warmth and was abrupt and unfriendly. We felt almost intimidated to be there. First waiter we had at the table removed our table napkin jewel before our 3rd guest had even arrived. Then he seemed to be hurrying us along throughout our meal. At the end our our meal, we were told to leave the table for the bar before we had finished our drinks as he needed the table back. His manner was surly and again abrupt. DJ was on far too early - we arrived at 6.30pm and he came on from around 7.30pm. Toilets are starting to look tired and in need of decoration. Bar staff serious and with no personality, warmth or friendliness.

Visited the Ivy Asia St Paul's for my birthday with my partner. We were seated in the window overlooking the Cathedral as requested on our booking. The food was amazing. It looked spectacular and tasted even better! Good efficient service. Would definitely recommend as I had a great birthday meal.

Took my niece for a celebratory meal as she’d recently graduated. It was her first sushi experience ( which she now loves). Our waiter was fabulous - and we even got complimentary dish of ice cream . Loved the atmosphere and would definately recommend

It definitely has more of a nightclub clientele and vibe, not what we were expecting from The Ivy group!!!! Coming from a City Event at Old Bailey we certainly took the age group up. It would have been good to have a slightly quieter corner! Food was excellent though

Nice food and fun decor But very loud and the service was poor. We were left waiting by the door for ages they had to call a second time to have us shown to our seats. Even thought two people at the reception desk it was an effort to take our coats. We had to ask if they would. Device on the floor was slow. It was busy, but there were plenty of staff.

Wonderful experience. Great tasting food and presentation, atmosphere was very lively. Decor looks just like the images, definitely wow factor. My only negative was the female hostesses who tended to congregate at the entrance to the main restaurant area. They were sweet enough on the way in but there was 6 of them all huddled together as we exited which just seemed a bit odd and we had to prompt a goodbye on the way out, as it was not forthcoming. Would definitely go back!

Your food and the restaurant itself was excellent. The welcome when we arrived was anything but excellent and certainly no welcome at all - rude staff who told us to go away as we were too early and your bar was too busy. Whilst I appreciate we were early, they made no effort to see if our table was available, were unhelpful, unfriendly and did not put your restaurant in a good light at all. I am only glad that my father was not well enough to visit as we could not have walked around the streets for 30 minutes in those temperatures which is what we had to do until our booking time. Such a shame to start our evening in this way.

Started badly -- v long check in. Bad table despite asking for a window. However manager came to the rescue and after that all excellent. Food delicious and service, whilst slow, was efficient. Enjoyable meal and experience after bad beginning.

The service provided by the team was very poor, starters were delivered 10minutes apart. No plates provided to eat the mains and had to be requested. Staff were unhelpful and slow to fix the problems. This is not he experience I had expected for the Ivy franchise.

Overall we had a nice meal, a few points to note, other than being asked if we wanted water for the table, our drinks order wasn’t taken. Our food order was taken promptly but my husband forgot we hadn’t ordered the drinks and I had nipped to the ladies so I couldn’t order them. This meant that our food arrived before our drinks… no major problem but a bit of a pet hate of mine… anyway, the food was served very quickly, and the nature of the food coming out in a fast and furious fashion meant that by the time we’d got the attention of a server to say that we hadn’t yet ordered our drinks, half the food had been served, and we were thirsty by this point… there are far worse problems in life to have but even when we ordered a drink they didn’t arrive for about 20 minutes… so it was a bit annoying as some of the food was quite spicy and a drink other than water would’ve been nice…plus we’d pretty much finished the majority of our meal; a tip for the staff is to offer drinks early on! as customers will drink more! Because of the delay and the speed of the food service we only had one drink so if you want to upset offer drinks! also we had booked for our sons 16th birthday and no one mentioned a thing!! very different to any other Ivy restaurant I’ve been to, more effort was made in the F1 Arcade over the road!!!! after our bill was settled I said that we had booked for our sons birthday and the server said he would sort something… all a bit last minute and I feel the notes upon booking should be read in advance so that more of an effort could be made. Overall a lovely restaurant with great views and a great atmosphere, nice food, although portions are small, sushi is tiny compared to other Asian restaurants we go to so you’ll need to order more than you expect. Would return but not in a hurry…

This restaurant is perfect for a special occasion. From the moment you check in and are escorted to your table you feel valued. The view of the cathedral is stunning whilst you enjoy the perfectly recommended and prepared dishes. We chose from the small plates so we could try multiple dishes. The Red Dragon dessert to share was amazing.

Arrived to a chaotic reception area and we were told to wait. After 5 minutes had to ask to be taken to the bar. Table was now 5 minutes late and a very flustered hostess said our table would be another 15 minutes. The restaurant looked barely at 50% capacity so asked to see the manager. Manager came and were finally shown to our table after a ten minute delay. VERY POOR EFFORT. TOP PRICES VERY DISAPPOINTED

Overall experience was amazing, our waiter for the night was great (I can’t remember his name) The food was really good, we had a mixture of sushi and small plates and the dragon egg dessert was a really fun experience. The ambience and decor was very fun and interesting and made the whole environment very unique. The only negative experience I had was from the front of house staff. As we left our meal we said goodbye to the staff at the top of the stairs and were spoken to in a rude manner with a a response of “ok bye” with a dismissive hand gesture. This tainted the overall experience which was so good and not something I would expect from a restaurant of The Ivy Asias quality.

Really disappointed. I'm a frequent Ivy customer but this was my first time to the Ivy Asia and won't be returning or recommending. On arrival the front of house team were very rude. Firstly we were left waiting more than 20mins after our pre booked table time in a cold entrance with not even an apology or offer to have a drink at the bar. Then when we were finally seated the waitress was abrupt. Got our order wrong and didnt care and by the time we ate it was circa 1030pm which was far too late. Overall I'm really shocked that this venue is representing the Ivy brand and I would urge the owners to assess the service asap

1. The DJ there on a Saturday has the music so loud that I could barely hear my partner speaking. We were having to shout at eachother it was annoying. 2. A 45 min wait for a table that was booked at 9 ? Unacceptable in any case but even more so for a restaurant of this calibre. 3. Service wasn’t great at all. The waitresses were really nice though. Now with all that being said… the food alone would get me back here every time. The food and drinks themselves were so good it made me overlook the other things that weren’t so great. We had the most INCREDIBLE meal, every single course was genuinely insane. Tens across the board, for me it’s a meal that can’t be topped.

One of the best meals we have ever had. the staff made it extra special by unexpectedly bringing out a birthday surprise pudding. the restaurant decor itself is just amazing and the table we were sat at was the perfect view of St Paul’s to top it all off! well worth the visit and we already want to go back😁
