Ivy Asia, Spinningfields
The bar, which is open until late, holds a wide range of spirits including a Japanese whisky collection, as well as offering a drinks menu featuring both classic and inventive cocktails.
Excellent customer service, awesome cocktails and lovely atmosphere.
Will try the brassiere next time
2nd visit to The Ivy and not disappointed. Fabulous place for a celebration and wonderful serice by all the staff.
Another solid performance from the Ivy, I am happy to pay a service charge but 12.% add to the bill and anything you by from the bar leaves you with a sour taste.
To add 12.5 % to wine that is already heavily marked up in price is a little heavy.
Absolutely love this place! The staff were attentive, the decor is amazing and the food is out of this world. We will definitely be going back.
Went for my husbands Birthday and noted it on booking. It was lovely that it was acknowledged because a lot of other restaurants despite asking special requirements never even acknowledges what was mentioned. We’ve been before but took our 11 years old and he was impressed and commented how the food was just bursting with flavour. Brilliant restaurant, service and staff. Stunning ladies toilets, it made me chuckle on my visit to ladies, I overheard some other ladies commenting how beautiful the toilet was haha!
Amazing night out. Everything about this venue is special. Foid delicious. Staff couldn't have done any more. Great night.
Celebrating a birthday. Arrived at allocated time slot and were seated straight away. First impressions was wow last impressions were wow. Fabulous service from start to finish. Food was amazing and we loved all our choices even the black cod priced at £29.50 this was actually one of our favourite dishes.
Staff were very attentive and even though every table was clearly booked all evening we did not feel rushed.
Only negative was we were slightly hemmed in.
The bathrooms were an experience as well.
The food was all delicious but only gave it 4 stars as very limited gluten free options. My fellow diners also all rated food highly. The ambience and decor is all rather bling for our tastes but is well done, as you'd expect from any Ivy restaurant. Very busy so they obviously know how to appeal to local demographic. Good service, again as you would expect from The Ivy. Extensive wine menu, different from brasserie, again designed to appeal to this demographic. House champagne was good and better value than cheaper wines. Bit noisy because of all the hard surfaces. But definitely worth a visit.
Did not disappoint. Food and service was outstanding. Would absolutely recommend.
This was our 4th year anniversary celebration and Jon the waiter made our experience amazing and fun..we have been here several times and never had a bad word to say..although the manager could do with lightening up a little bit other than that this place is highly recommended
This has got to be one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, everything from service to food was outstanding.
Great food. Excellent service. The serving sizes are a bit small compared to other small plates restaurants.
Service inconsistent, meals came at separate times due to a mistake in the kitchen, but meal was compt. Toilets disgusting with toilet seat lying on the floor next to the bin. Clientle vulgar and loud. Patrons allowed to enter wearing baseball cap and tracksuit bottoms, not what you expect at a supposedly high end establishment.
Great food, great service only complaint was the time it took to get seated obviously a busy place with great atmosphere will definitely recommend and be coming again.
Excellent in every way. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Wonderful experience as always. Will definitely be back soon!
Was a wonderful experience , faultless service and food, my niece had the vegan menu and it was spectacular.
Definitely will return.
Beautifully executed food, Friendly staff, and exceptional ambience..... We have both the bistro and the Asian restaurants, and we return soon...... A faultless and enjoyable venue.
The food was amazing!
Great food and good service (attentive and friendly, just right). Atmosphere really good (even for a Monday night) and the music noise level from the DJ was perfect to be able to talk over dinner.
Very beautiful place, with soo much pozzaz, considering the quirky atmosphere I thought the food would hold up, but the sea bass we had was meant to be Thai flavoured yet lacked any sort of flavour, but was nicely cooked. The duck curry was quite bland, also noticed the food served down stairs was basically served upstairs aswell with some additions.
The starter was the only nice part but quite simple, and I wouldn’t say very ‘asian’
For a asian inspired dining experience it lacked the taste.
If you want a experience of unique dining space and a bit of entertainment, then go for that.
A real treat for a special occasion. Excellent service, good food and impressive decor.
It's a beautiful restaurant, great place to take pictures. It was very noisy, I didn't like the food to be honest. Starters were fine but my main course was undercooked.i went there for my birthday so didn't want to ruin my mood so didn't say anything at that time.
Your staff are excellent, not the front of house but our waiter was friendly down to earth knowledgable and attentive, food good but I was disappointed with the tempura chicken. It was not tempura batter. But overall excellent. Thank you
The ambient is great. Food average. Table service ok, but not friendly. They did not make me feel as a valued customer.
My partner and I visited the Ivy, as part of a surprise trip away for his birthday. I chose Ivy Asia, and was it was beyond my expectations. From the food to the service, it was hands down the best dining experience for both of us. The food was outstanding, to say the least. We tried 4 dishes, and could not fault a thing. Upon making the reservation online, I added a note that it was my partners birthday - which was fully acknowledged by all staff. From the gentlemen greeting us on the first floor, to the waiter who served us for the evening he was wished a happy birthday, asked about his day and even received a complimentary candle lit desert.
Thank you to all staff at the Ivy Manchester!
Beautiful place, very tasty food and great service. What else do you need for a perfect evening? Would definitely go back.
Food good however some dishes rather expensive for what you got. Our waitress Katie was excellent nothing too much trouble. Toilets a problem... designed with sink and mirror in cubicle therefore young girls were going in putting on makeup and chatting inside and generally hogging the toilets!..... long queues!! Went up to rooftop bar wow! Lovely setting great views Lovely attentive sommelier Matt! Great at his job ...would recommend the place had a lovely time
Enjoyed food & service v.good. Experience slightly spoilt by the choice & volume of the music
Ivy Asia, offers a truly wow factor in terms of décor and ambience. It really is a talking point.
The food, although tasty, was a little too deep fried for our liking. The Thai Sea Bass, which wasn't fried, was delicious though! Not sure I would rush back as think there are better Asian food options in Manchester.
Fabulous food, amazing decor and perfect ambience. Sadly, service was a bit of a let down with the feel of always being rushed.
Fabulous place glad you are changing the menu I've been so many times I've had everything now! Love th bar too, great choice and service.

Upon arrival to the ivy , we were greeted with a lovely welcome and shown straight to our table. We loved the decoration throughout the restaurant and the staff were extremely helpful in choosing food as it was our first time. The food was sublime and would definitely visit again.
We went to the Ivy Asia in Manchester for my birthday. It was hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Would 100% recommend and will be visiting again in the near future.
The starters were great, chicken gyoza really tasty. The mains were disappointing, steak was small, ordered rice and broccoli to go with it, very plain as no sauce. Desert sounded good on paper, white chocolate bomb, but was actually quite sickly.
Great venue, attentive service from the cocktail maker through to the end. The food comes in a tapas style and is delicious. Not cheap but well worth it for a special occasion
Our first but definitely not ou4 last visit to the Ivy. Exquisite food and dining experience
Been several time and never disappointed food, service, atmosphere excellent.
I really loved the place and I would both go again and recommend but the only reason I won’t give 5 stars was that it was too noisy for the meal. We basically couldn’t hear each other talk which I feel for the price we pay isn’t ideal.
