First time visit to the Ivy with my wife. We both enjoyed it. Lovely surroundings, mostly friendly staff, and good food. The sweet was excellent.
Had a Great experience catered for my individual needs.
Fantastic 50th Birthday celebration
Lovely meal for my wife's birthday. From the moment we got in there we were treated very well. Food was extremely well prepared and tasted fantastic. Would definitely recommend the duck curry. Would definitely recommend.
Was a little pricey, but the food was delicious and the surroundings beautiful
We ordered the burger and the butternut squash, both very average, with bland tastes with fairly high price tags. Service was good but rushed in and rushed out. Wouldn't return.
It was my daughter’s birthday! The food was wonderful, thank you!
Myself and 4 friends came for lunch for my 40 th birthday.we had a wonderful time from the moment we arrived to the moment we left ..
everyone was so friendly and professional ....
The food and service was fabulous.thank you for making my time with you so special ...
Lovely setting and great food. Will definitely go again when in Bath.
We had a great time from the moment we stepped in the door until leaving - thank you to the wonderful staff & chefs!
Top class dining experience & great value for money
Always fabulous service and delicious food. Thank you.
The staff were super kind and on request helped us secure a lovely table as we were wanting a quiet round table with some privacy. They were also very attentive and patient while we took a while to order. The only criticism is that the food felt a bit overpriced.
Great meal with our two children. Only downside was we were at possibly the worst table in the restaurant, tucked into a corner where you could barely see anything or anyone..but someone has to get the duff table!
Excellent food, good atmosphere and great value. A nice buzz without seeming busy even when full.
Great atmosphere in a lively venue and food is delicious albeit repetitive if you tend to go frequently (as we do)! Great Sole Meunière and truffled arrancini! The waitress looking after us was lovely and anticipated every One of our wishes! Went for a birthday and was treated to a lovely complimentary choux with candle. Love it
Excellent menu, very good food. Friendly, efficient service.
Everything was done to perfection - friendly but unobtrusive service, all elements of our breakfasts were exactly as we had hoped for and the extra coffee is a nice touch. As was the cream and raspberry doughnut with candle for our daughter’s birthday.
We had a lovely meal and the service was very good. The Ivy has a friendly atmosphere, we ate early Thursday evening & it wasn't noisy although it was reasonably busy.
The perfect way to spend my birthday. Fantastic service, delicious afternoon tea and beautiful design. Thank you for making the experience so memorable.
This was my second visit. Last time was for a meal and all was good at a very busy time in December. This time I was less impressed in particular with the the way my guest and I were greeted at the entrance. I had pre-booked, there were no queues. I thought my booking was for 3.15 and we arrived at 3.30 (within the 15 min) pretty wet and windswept. I was made to feel like I was lucky to get a table at all! Once seated at the smallest table ever for two people I checked my booking confirmation and it was actually booked for 3.30 so we were on time! All I will say is first impressions always count. Actually there were loads of tables Thursday afternoon that were free all the time we were there and we left at 5.40. The waiters were lovely but to cram everything on a small table for two was indeed an art in itself. Scones need to be bigger and it would be nice if there was a choice of pain or fruit scones. The jam and cream pots also are just tiny. I would return for a meal but not for a cream tea.
Had afternoon tea at The Ivy, we are definitely connoisseurs of afternoon tea and whilst it was worth the money and enjoyable, this one was very nice but not the best we have had. The sweet elements were particularly light and the exploding crystals in the chocolate mousse were an unexpected addition.
On arrival the smell of lunchtime meals was quite over powering, unavoidable in such a popular restaurant but it changed the feel of the surroundings compared to country house teas.
The service was slow and we were never offered top ups of tea and coffee.
Good value if you are looking for somewhere in the city.
Beautiful place to eat lovely atmosphere and very good food. Waiter needs to learn some manners after advising my partner she needs to get used to eating in posh restaurant's when she asked a question.
The food was nice but not sure worth the money.
We ordered the fixed lunch menu - it was very good value for money - food was delicious and the ambience was very lovely on a wet and rainy Thursday lunch time. Servers were attentive and friendly and I will definitely be back
The restaurant has a beautiful interior and the staff were lovely and very attentive. The food though was average at best and pricey - I drove in from Frome for a special breakfast but would have had a better value and better quality meal in my home town. It's a lovely restaurant atmosphere wise but over-priced and not well-executed food-wise.
Lovely place to eat. Great menu choice. Slow service as often very busy.
Funny you should ask, my sister is visiting Bath soon and had booked lunch at the Royal Crescent. She has since changed her plans and now coming to you.
The booking is in the name of Elise Ruskin.
Such a lovely afternoon celebrating our colleagues baby shower. Excellent service and amazing food xxx
Very enjoyable lunch with our grandchildren. Spacious table arrangement that enabled us to talk to each other without other tables being unduly burdened by our conversation, and of course it offers privacy. Our young children were as pleased as we we were with the choice of menu.
Lovely meal with great service and ambiance. The truffle arincini were a particular highlight but we all thoroughly enjoyed the food.
We very much enjoyed our evening. The cocktails were superb and the food lovely. Only one person was a little disappointed in their food: the lady who ordered the tuna steak felt that the portion was rather mean and she would have preferred the tubs to have been medium (she was only given the choice of rare or well done and well done turned out to be tough). Our one real complaint regarded the white wine which was served at room temperature. It’s seemed extraordinarily difficult to procure a different bottle. A lager was also served at room temperature.
Took 30 minutes before asking for someone to take our drink order. Food was delicious and enjoyed every bite.
Very slow service and it wasn’t busy but good food
Fun and atmospheric as usual with a real sense of occasion which makes me return again and again. As always service was fab, and food scrumptious.
There was a lot of confusion over what dishes were suitable for Vegans and several orders were made only for another waiter to come back from the kitchen after a few minutes to apologise the order wasn’t in fact Vegan. It would be a good idea to create a short Vegan menu of just a few dishes, rather than just vegetarian options.
Other than that, the lunch was very good.
Great service and lovely food ! Would not hesitate in returning.
Lovely food and brilliant service. Very attentive and great atmosphere. This was a treat for a special birthday so was bit more expensive than we would normally pay.
Lovely food and service and ambiance
