The Ivy Bath Brasserie Ratings and Reviews
Varied menu that was full of interesting dishes, comprehensive (and good) wine list and very attentive service that never became overbearing. Food and wine were high quality and portions more than adequate. Not cheap, but this standard and quality never is. Very much worth it!
Great experience at The Ivy Brasserie in Bath. Had the duck liver parfait to start which was sublime followed by a fillet rare which was cooked perfectly with truffled chips and to finish an apple tart finé which was flambed with brandy at the table! Amazing food, amazing service! Will return soon.
Booked for a breakfast for four. Service was really high quality and felt like fine dining! Our teas and coffees were all very high quality and enjoyable, as were our breakfasts. Our waitor was attentive but not overly so. The only complaint would be that we were seated right at the back which was a little quiet and meant that we experienced less of the ambiance. Would definitely re visit!! 100%
Fantastic lunch, the room was beautifully decorated, the service from Antonio was spot on, attentive, discreet, so professional. Really enjoyed our lunch, gorgeous risotto and steak off the set menu and when we mentioned it was a 40th birthday some lovely chocolates appeared. Great experience!!
First visit to the Bath restaurant. I was not expecting it to be up to Covent Garden standards but was blown away by the grandeur of the place. The staff were superb: slick and also friendly. The service lost a star because we were there over 15 minutes before getting the water we ordered when we sat down, 25 minutes before the wine arrived. We were going to the theatre and getting very nervous! But then our waitress appeared and it was all fine making up from what was looking like 2 stars. We think she had just clocked in. The value issue was with the overly expensive wine (£38 for a standard NZ Sauvignon Blanc) but the food was both excellent and good value. Will definitely be going back.
Lovely welcome at the front door , we had asked for a table away from the door and we were given exactly that ..a corner table for a romantic lunch ! Cheerful supportive waitress well trained and charming .,we were early and were given a lot of attention by around four staff which I like ! Help with the menus and good choice of wine . Excellent tempura prawns and the seared blue fin tuna was spot on. Buzzy atmosphere and we were not rushed ..a two hour lunch was what we wanted , and that’s exactly what we had. We will be back and I’ve made a note of the table number.
