We came for the first time to The Ivy in Bath to celebrate a birthday. It didn’t disappoint and our party of seven all enjoyed the experience. The waiter was very pleasant and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We also enjoyed the afternoon tea. I would most definitely return.
Excellent service and very good food. The dining room was pleasant and we had a very nice lunch.
Exquisite service. Lovely food and a beautiful atmosphere x
You asked at booking if it was a special occasion which it was- daughters 17th birthday- but then nothing was mentioned which was a bit disappointing.
I could not believe the waiting staff everhing was so slow we had a 6.45 table and didn't leave until 9.45 .
It was the first time we had been. We are local and it was a lovely evening. The staff were very friendly and the food was very good. We’ll come again
Service not brilliant given the reputation of the chain which was a real shame and let it down.
Not sure will go back as a result as plenty of other excellent restaurants to choose from in Bath.
The surroundings were very nice
The staff were very good but we waited 40 mins for a breakfast ! There were 7 adults and 1 22month old child. Far too long to wait , we had 2 coffees while waiting ! The actual food was good but not really worth the cost.
I wouldn't rush to go back , why would I want to wait so long for my food ? The restaurant wasn't even busy we were the only table occupied in the large area at the back of the restaurant.
We were very impressed that Antonio knew one of our group needed a gluten free meal and was able to explain the menu in detail and with confidence which was very reassuring.
Drinks service at the start of the meal was a little slow - water arrived quickly but our cocktail order was slow to arrive and 'bumped' into our food service.
Food and decor are outstanding. Sadly the staff let the place down. Our drinks took such a long time that our starters arrived first and I had to chase the waiter. After our mains it seemed impossible to get anyone’s attention to order dessert/bill or even get our plates cleared! We also had mentioned it was a special birthday occasion when booking so would have thought staff would be attentive. I think the most annoying this was that we could see staff chatting and serving other tables but just ignoring us. Understand it’s Saturday and busy time but even when things died down we just felt ignored.
Busy Saturday night but service and food both very good.
The food was delicious and service very good. Lovely atmosphere. Portions a little small, so you need to order a side dish.
It was so lovely the chips were a little over done and just didn’t taste that great but I had the lobster and really enjoyed it was so yummy!
Lovely restaurant where you feel a bit special. I can we with a friend for lunch and have no complaints. A little more expensive than some but well worth it!
I had pre booked the terrace for my 10.45am breakfast reservation, but when I arrived was told it was not available until 11.00am, which would have been fine but was told it would be too late for breakfast, so we had to sit inside. Despite having breakfast on the terrace the week before at 10.45
Drinks were ordered but came late (after the food) so the food was cold by the time the drinks arrived. The fresh grapefruit was fizzy and clearly not fresh.
Overall not a good experience from m what is supposed to be a high end venue
Fantastic vegetarian breakfast and great service as always. A really special place to go for brunch.
Very good, has improved since the last time we were there
I ate at the Ivy for my graduation lunch and it was wonderful. The food was delicious and the staff are lovely.
I organised a pre booked, lunch time meal for three adults for a birthday and girly catch up. We thought we had a warm welcome with not too much of a wait at the entrance. We felt the service was friendly and efficient until it came to asking for the bill As we could not get any bodies attention for about five minutes. We all thought the restaurant was very clean and well maintained, we loved the stylish decor and comfy seating. We thought the set lunch menu was very good value for money although we felt the drinks menu to be expensive despite the very stylishly presented drinks. Overall a very good first time experience at The Ivy in bath and we will be back to try some more off the menu .
Very consistent as usual, waiter was very pleasant and friendly. Not rushed at any point.
Rarely have we been so patronised as customers. What a cynical place.
We have visited the Ivy on a number of occasions and it would be my first choice for coffee, lunch dinner. We have taken friends visiting from overseas and family, and always the same comments, fantastic service, really excellent food, lovely ambience. Thank you for making everything so special
Beautiful food in an amazing restaurant. Slick and professional service and not as expensive as I expected - have found our new “go-to” restaurant in Bath
The terrace at The Ivy Brasserie is a very special place. We had a wonderful meal and enjoyed the atmosphere and service. Thank you for looking after us so well.
Wonderful experience all round. Would recommend. We ate from the breakfast menu - vegetarian breakfast delicious and pancakes and fruit divine. It’s a must if you are in Bath and easy to book online.
Slow service, had to ask for table to be cleared well after we had finished starters, main course slow to arrive. Surrounding good like all IBs.
Excellent food with exceptional service. Warmly greeted by staff and seated straight away. Drink appeared quickly and food service was nicely spaced. The quality of the food was really good and we had a very pleasant experience.
Perfect place for a friends brunch catchup. Lovely relaxed ambiance with well spaced tables, slick friendly and happy service, wonderful food. Would highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat! Next time upstairs out on the terrace. :)
Excellent surroundings coupled with outstanding service and hospitality. All the food was cooked to perfection, complimented with a range of wines, spirts and beer to suit every taste, with good advice given where necessary. Menus were adapted on request, and we were allowed to take our lunch at our pace.
Difficult to fault.
Food is very good, big selection for all dietary restrictions. Service was spotty. Staff was very busy and the restaurant was almost empty. Sunday night in Bath, most tourists have gone home.
Absolutely fantastic meal, beautiful interior design and the staff were really helpful and prompt.
The chocolate bombe was quite simply put the best dessert I have ever had. Totally spoilt.
Service was excellent and the care taken and knowledge of allergy information was superb. Food delicious and great value.
Fantastic night, well taken care of and looked after by the staff. Food quality was excellent, coupled with an outstanding environment.
Really lovely meal on a beautiful evening on the roof terrace. Lovely food, wine and service. Will be back.
Lovely place for breakfast during a birthday weekend visit to Bath. Staff, food and surroundings were wonderful.
A beautiful place to have a very special birthday meal. The staff are amazing and the food was exceptional!!
This was the fourth different 'Ivy Brasserie' we have dined at in the last 12 months. Glad to say that the high quality of food and the attentiveness of all staff from beginning to end matched all of the others. Venue has been tastefully altered from the original Bank building. Pleasing to see the ceiling looking immaculate.
Thanks you very much all.
Our Waitress was extremely thoughtful & attentive and cannot fault them and without qualms paid over the discretionary 12.5% service charge. To make our special occasion more memorable, we would have liked to have enjoyed more of the restaurant. on 3 occasions I have sat in the same area. With such a beautifully decorated venue, I would have loved to see more - like perhaps a drink at the Bar?
As it was a beautuful day and on previous trips to the venue the staff had recommended the balcony for a lovely time and I had hoped we would see this, but only tables of 4 were allowed and our party of 7 could not book this area. it did not in general detract from our enjoyment of the late lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the food was excellent. Thank you.
Third visit and felt service had slipped huge wait between starter and main . Long wait to order
