GlgVisited The Ivy recently to celebrate my partner’s 50 th Birthday. The restaurant was busy for a Monday night but the service was not affected by this.
Fine but quite noisy. Have been to otgerIvy’s and particularly rate the Ivy at The Bridge .
Always a pleasure to go to The Ivy in Bath, food and service are always very good
I'v been to the Ivy in Bath many times and it never fails to impress me. It is far superior to many of the other Ive Restaurants that have been rolled out throughout the country. Well done! The only problem is that it is almost impossible to get a booking for 5 people!
Second visit! First being a very nice brunch after my daughters wedding at the Guild Hall Bath. Second just over a week later for my wife's 60th birthday, both times very good, relaxed but still very attentive staff who joined in the mirth and high spirits of both occasions. I would highly recommend the Ivy to anyone who asks and those who do not!
Excellent service, food were really nice and well presented.
Great meal, vegetarian could be slightly more exciting.
Gorgeous place, good service from waiting staff, but was disappointed that we couldn’t get a seat at the bar for a drink prior to our meal.
Everything was brilliant, the food was delicious, can’t fault it at all but the thing that made our evening was our server Monika. She was so so lovely and her personalised service really did make our evening. She Really is a fabulous host and I cannot speak highly enough of her! My parents highly recommend the place and we are so happy we went, we will absolutely be back and will happily recommend to friends and family!
Wonderful place to spend my birthday & they even made me my own birthday cocktail! Will be back soon :)
I'm a vegetarian. There are a few vegetarian mains. My favourites are the Roasted butternut squash with grains (it also looks very pretty) and the Sweet potato Keralan curry, served with rice. Love the Salt-crusted sourdough bread too. I had the curry this time, unfortunately the rice was under cooked. The middle was hard and starchy. Apart from that, everything else was great.
Nice restaurant, great food! Atmosphere was abit low and the people
Dining there thought that they were better than everyone else.
Very noisy with empty bottles CRASHING into the bins and when clearing tables crockery clattering around our ears very poor training or lack of it!
This was my 3rd visit to catch up with a friend. Service and food always great. Booked to bring hubby for a meal post show.
We really enjoyed our lunch although one of us had to send our food back as the chicken was very dry but was replaced with another dish apart from that it was a lovely lunch
Sry good food and excellent service in a lovely atmosphere.
Lovely bright and interesting surroundings & decor. Would visit again.
We have dined at the ivy on several occasions and thoroughly enjoyed it every time when in London we try to dine at the Ivy also
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit ,we will be back in November.
I took my wife to the ivy in bath for here birthday and we both agreed how nice it was and that we would definitely be going back.
Just perfect in every way. We come up to Bath twice a year and this is a definite from now on
The set menu is limited, but the courses were very tasty. Meals from the set and main menu were all good and the combination of tastes in each meal went together so well.
Great seating area, fantastic food. Service was excellent too. Would definetly go again for a special occasion.
The ambience, service and decoration of the restaurant oozes charm, complete with smart staff uniforms and groovy art. However, the plates of food are relatively small and overpriced given the quality of the ingredients. Overall, I really enjoyed The Ivy, but more so for everything else bar the food. Would be very happy to return to try afternoon tea/lunch/drinks. Thank you.
Booked again great food great atmosphere great staff great food 😁
Great food but on this occasion visit was spoilt by rather loud music which my 88 year old mother found hard to tolerate.
Also chef was unable to change Tabasco for Worcester sauce to enable me to have my first choice dish of steak tartare. Disappointed!
Didn't enjoy the current fixed price menu as much as last months which had an amazing crab stater which I was hoping to have again. If I hadn't been three weeks ago I guess I'd have rated it higher this time. The food was good, there was a delay between courses that the manager spotted (well done in a busy service) and apologised for and sorted out for us and the adjacent tables immediately. The waitress hadn't noticed the problem.
I'd prefer a table at the front as the back is very lively and loud but fun. I don't like having a 12.5% service added on regardless; why not just make the basic price more and say service is included.
It was a perfect evening catching up with a good friend. We were greeted upon arrival, the food and service was fantastic. Our waiter was very polite, friendly and made us feel welcome. A great evening!
Used to the service that I’ve come to expect in London and this was simply disappointing.
The food was absolutely superb and the service was perfect. Thanks Antonio.
Food is ok, not the best in Bath.. egg was hard not soft, chips were over cooked
Wonderful restaurant with a great vibe and beautiful lay out... Food was exquisite and the staff were incredibly professional. Over all it was delightful evening and I would recommend the Ivy to anyone visiting or living in Bath
Very nice experience. What I loved was the fact that there was a nice atmosphere but you still had a level of privacy because there is enough space between you and the next table. The waiter was courteous and had a sense of humour.
An excellent Sunday brunch. Wide selection on the menu and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The service received was very efficient and friendly without being intrusive. Cost is reasonably prìcey but would certsinly recommend the Bath Ivy Brasserie to otbers
The food is lovely, the setting and ambiance is to die for but unfortunately we somehow seemed to be very overlooked the entire evening. Our main courses arriving very late due to a mix up, other tables next to us seemed to be having service throughout however we sat in the middle almost feeling invisible. I would return purely on the food and decor/atmosphere alone, but I did feel sad having had a drinks order forgotten and then our main food. When you’re dining the service is 50% of the experience.
First visit to the Ivy having been given a voucher as a thank you from a friend, wry impressed with ambience, friendly and attentive service and excellent food
Excellent food, rather busy Saturday evenings and you do wait in-between courses but the staff always update you and are very apologetic if you are kept waiting.
Everything was excellent apart from the wait for the drinks. Only 2 of us and had pre booked table. Did have to wait for an hour to get a drink !! Would have liked the option to have the drink i ordered pre dinner on arrival and order something different to eat with my food. All arrived more or less at the same time.
Thoroughly enjoyed our champagne afternoon tea at the ivy. Great atmosphere and very pleasant staff. Shame it’s so expensive as I would love to be able to go more often. Wasn’t prepared for the rather large service charge that was added onto bill though!
Really enjoyable meal
Fantastic service and brilliant food
