Lovely food and even better service. Had a great experience and will be back when possible
Came here for a romantic dinner and was very impressed with the ambience, food and the staff. Our waiter was very helpful and charming and the food was stunning. Would definitely recommend The Ivy to anyone, all in all a beautiful experience
Birthday cake and candle brought out to table was great! Really nice surprise thank you!
Excellent food, service & ambiance. Expensive but good.
Food was good if a little pricey for what it is but it is the Ivy after all so price was as expected.
My lamb a little overdone but I didn’t want it rare so I blame myself.
Really enjoyable experience. . Gift from our children
Really nice evening, lovely decor and atmosphere, food was great with the exception of the burger which was very dry (roll and burger)
Had high expectations but quite disappointed. Felt the menu was a little limited and not very exciting (Shepard’s pie, fish and chips!) Most of what we ordered was nice but nothing exceptional. All felt very rushed and wouldn’t go back.
Food and cocktails were amazing. Tables were nicely sprayed out. Staff very attentive. Highly recommend
Lovely food, delightful setting and friendly staff. Thank you
Lovely dinner , perfect food , testy food, I will be back again.
Extremely friendly staff , excellent food .
I would definitely return
Background music was too old for oldies with hearing aids.
The cost of sides, water etc is exorbitant. E.g. £4.25 for a very small portion of sweet potato.
Loved the fact we ate in the Ivy. The service was good and the ambience lovely. Really, really nice place. However, the main course I would say was average with a local restaurant at home for a quarter of the price. Starters were lovely, very nice.
Glad I went, not as nice as the London Ivy, but still a classy afternoon out. Would not return, sorry Ivy. Bit of a disappointment at £125 a pop.
The staff were outstanding and did everything to make us feel special. Delicious, high quality food which came in super fast time. Beautiful decor and relaxed, spacious ambience. We will be returning.
I have dined at The Ivy in other locations and always been really pleased.
It was my daughters 18th Birthday so was treating her before national lockdown.
We gave the order to one waitress and settled in to enjoy lunch.
Main Course arrived and was very tasty, the desserts arrived- delivered by a different waiter, one was correct (my daughters) the other was most definitely not what I ordered, I asked that they take it away and repeated what I had ordered to the 2nd waiter. After quite some time (my daughter had long finished her dessert) a plate arrived with what looked to be a slice of mild cheddar with crackers, I had to wait to catch the eye of the initial waitress and asked her to take it away it was not what I ordered or what stated on the menu. (A French blue cheese), she commented that no it didn't look like a blue cheese and took it away.
I asked for the bill and a 3rd waiter approached the table, the bill seemed high and he was trying to talk me through it, I said I couldn't work out why it was so high - after much discussion it would seem that they tried to charge me for the initial dessert that I hadn't ordered AND the cheese which wasn't eaten and returned!!!
I also called the restaurant the day before to advise that it was my daughter's 18th (As I have celebrated in The Ivy in London - they bring a little cupcake or similar to mark the occasion). There was no mention of her birthday by anyone and quite frankly the debacle over the bill was very disappointing.
We were shown to our table immediately and our waiter was very professional courteous and efficient throughout the meal. Food was very good .
Very enjoyable experience and look forward to returning sometime??
Food was reasonable except I was asked how I would like my steak. I said rare and it came well done and in addition the chips on both our meals were over cooked
We were seated upstairs for a change-not quite as opulent as downstairs. The food and drink were good as always but the service let them down. I think this was due to not having a designated waiter so it was a case of attracting someones attention. Quite a time lapse between drinks and orders for lunch taken. When our main course plates etc removed we expected to be offered the dessert menu but not forthcoming so had to ask. Although we had cold desserts they were very slow in coming.
Lovely for a special occasion. Fantastic food, very good portion sizes and reasonable prices for an Ivy Brasserie atmosphere
Fantastic in every way despite the screaming child 😬
You looked after us very well, my Mum is 91 and she felt very safe and enjoyed everything- Thank you!
Was greater with a warm welcome and a happy birthday.
The service and food was out of this world.
To top it off, I was also given a birthday cake.
Will definitely be back when we can.
Due to new restrictions this was a last gasp booking. We were pleasantly surprised at the service bearing in mind restrictions. Well Done
We had a delightful breakfast and a delicious cocktail at the lovely waitress suggested in the perfect place
Great service and great food
The 10pm shut down thing is a little inconvenient when you have an 8:45pm booking.
Not really enough time as we had to rush our deserts to get out on time and didn’t finish our drinks.
It was a late dinner and we were rushing to finish our food. My bf drink has got fly but managed to be change. Other than that all is good.
Service was amazing and staff very kind! Would definitely recommend the sweet potato curry!
A lovely dining experience. The food is of a high standard, the staff and ambiance make it a special event.
Absolutely amazing food! Definitely recommend the truffle mash it is delicious
Bath is one of the best Ivy restaurants. Good choice of food and drinks. Excellent service. Wonderful ambience. A real buzz and a fun experience.
Excellent restaurant, great food, very good service. Find it difficult to find anything to complain about.
Had a lovely time there although unfortunately didn’t have a chance to funny experience as we had received bad news and had to leave early.
Other than that it was perfect!
we decided to have the set menu and a bottle of wine. like many people our wedding anniversary celebrations are cancelled so we decided to visit nearby Bath and the Ivy for a meal. We were very pleased by the ambience, the building and our seating. The front of house staff were helpful and welcoming and our waitress extremely pleasant and helpful. We chose the set menu and it was very good with a tasty mackerel starter and a main of steak egg and chips and also sea bream with salad. It was beautifully presented, hot and tasty. The bottle of wine was also excellent. Would visit again as it was very enjoyable.
We try to come three or four times a year and we wouldn’t return if we didn’t enjoy the experience
A very charming place to meet up for lunch or dinner. A sophisticated but relaxed atmosphere.
Had a lovely lunch with my husband. Great food and service. Will be back soon
Wedding Anniversary lunch (was booked for 5/11). Food was fab! Table location right opposite the bar and near the door wasn’t the best, but understand the distancing. Was very difficult to hear what the server was saying in a face mask, visors may be better.
The four of us (family)enjoyed our brunch very much. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. I look forward to returning with friends for a relaxed breakfast treat.
Have not been to this particular Ivy before, so booked for breakfast with a friend as the ‘last Hoorah’ before 2nd lockdown!
Fabulous decor & ambience, nice relaxed music.
Both had the full English, which was perfect, but would personally prefer smoked bacon as it was lacking in flavour.
Excellent service by friendly waiters.
Will come again for lunch or dinner when Boris gives us the go ahead.
Had an amazing time at the Ivy! The food and drinks were excellent, the service basically impeccable, and we had a really really good time.
