The Ivy Bath Brasserie
As with its sister sites, The Ivy Bath Brasserie serves all-encompassing, contemporary British menus for breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. The restaurant is open seven days a week offering all-day dining to local businesses, residents and visitors alike. There is a roof terrace which is the perfect spot for al fresco dining from the a la carte menu. Please note that the terrace is non bookable so please just pop in.
Hidden away on the first floor is The Baldwin Room; our private dining room. Seating 30 guests on one long table, or 40 on round tables of ten, the room is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as for drinks and canapés receptions for up to 70 guests. The room can be hired on its own or the whole first floor can be taken exclusively.
Service was terrible. Very slow and not attentive. Had to wait a very long time for food and for plates to be cleared away.
A very pleasant welcome from the staff. Very professional yet not in a robotic way. Very helpful and friendly. Food was delicious!
Great location and superb food, service and setting. The staff were very friendly and helpful and in no way stuck up. Repeat visits essential to try and work your way through the menu, because it all looked very good.
Love place to go for lunch. Food good, staff good.
The service was friendly on the occasions we saw someone, the food took too long to arrive also my main course should have been hotter. It took much too long to get the bill and ages for someone to take payment. Whilst I like The Ivy it seems that whoever was manager that day needs to pay more attention to the way things are run. There seemed to be plenty of staff but maybe they need more training and managing.
Beautiful venue, excellent food as always, with exceptional service from Antonio. Perfect evening!
Very disappointing experience. Regular visitor to Harrogate Ivy and expected similar standard given the menu is exactly the same. The two sole dishes were both overcooked & my husbands minute steak was returned.
A wonderful setting for an enjoyable occasion, with family and friends. Lots of menu choices for all tastes and preferences. The non-alcoholic cocktails to start were great fun. We found the ambiance to be happy, friendly and bubbly. The service was professionally discrete, if not fast - but for so many delectably prepared tasty dishes, while you're enjoying great company, this is not a problem. As a colleague shared afterwards in agreement with my praises, 'you really feel you've been somewhere special, don't you?' Thank you very much.
The Ivy always brightens our day from the congenial greeting to the brilliant interior to the delicious scent on a journey to the rest rooms. We mostly visit for a good long Sunday breakfast, sitting in complete comfort with newspapers and copious cups of coffee. Recommend any of the dishes involving fashionista avocado! This is my husband's only opportunity to eat kippers as I'm not kipper friendly at home! Staff are friendly and efficient.
The staff really make this place. It already has the vibe and reputation and the food is great. The starters in particular were spectacular (including the vegan jackfruit option). Mains were good but not quite as spectacular. I’d love to see a couple more vegan options (not salads) please. Our experience was thoroughly enhanced by the charm and humour of every member of the Ivy team. So, a big thank you to them for making my daughters’ 25th and 26th birthdays a very special event.
Excellent service & although big & noisy, you are not on top of each other.
Very good choices & prompt with extra drinks. Slightly pricey, but a great experience. Some very noisy groups, but it was a Saturday night, so not a surprise.
Seemed a destination to be seen in.
We have waited a long time to visit The Ivy in Bath and it was so worth the wait! The food was utterly divine, we are still talking about it and planning to visit for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea! The cocktails were luscious. The staff could t do enough for us and were so lovely and accommodating. Such an incredible place, can’t wait to visit again!
Wonderful service. Good atmosphere. Staff helpful and polite.
Excellent service and excellent food. Would recommend to anyone
We were in Bath for my daughters 18th birthday and book The Ivy on the recommendation of a friend. We could only get a table for 6pm which was a bit early , however ended up working out. Everything was first class and the wine, food , service and vibe were top notch. I had trouble making choices as so much appealed and when the bill came I was pleasantly surprised as I would say it was good value for money when you consider the overall experience.
Food was absolutely amazing.
The waiting staff are also amazing. Book yourself a table it’s truly a great place.
First visit to The Ivy and we were not disappointed. The service was of a high standard, the setting beautiful and the food was good. We had cocktails for desert and they were very good. Can’t wait to go back .
Had a lovely Brunch with my Partner , the food was absolutely delicious and the staff were very attentive and polite. Would definitely go again
A beautiful restaurant, we went as a small group for my birthday, the food was lovely and the staff were great
Considering it’s the Ivy I had expected more. Food ok but the service was poor and the front on house staff weren’t very friendly. It doesn’t cost anything to smile!
A delicious breakfast and truly excellent service!easy to book online and despite a busy breakfast time, we were served promptly and were not rushed at all.we were even offered a complimentary coffee! The waitress had a lovely smile and was very attentive. Our salmon and scrambled eggs were tasty and we were offered toast in the side too.we would certainly have breakfast here again.
Lovely evening, good food, and good service. Something to repeat.
A fabulous late lunch on Friday 8th November - the food was delicious, the service impeccable and the ambience was great. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Coffee was overpriced. Starter of duck salad and duck liver parfait were excellent pity about the main meal of fish and chips soggy batter a no no chip overcooked and couldn't be eaten with a fork
We went for my mother’s birthday for a cream tea at lunchtime but we didn’t know that cream tea couldn’t be served until 3pm. The staff there were amazing and spoke to the chef who let us have the cream tea. The staff ended it bringing my mum a small raspberry bun with a lit candle in it. They made her birthday so special. Thank you.
Fantastic in every way. No special occasion but we had a special evening. Food was impeccable
Lovely food, sketchy service, high prices but I suppose you get what you pay for
Booked a table for Dads 80th B'day, we arrived incredibly early but this was no problem and our table was ready if we wanted it. We decided a drink at the bar first. Both Mum and Dad (as well as us) had a fab time. Only slight problem was some unruly child running about and screeching at top scream. Great to see the vegan options too.
We took my mother there for afternoon tea, as it was her birthday. We had not been before but would defiantly go again. Food was good very friendly staff a lovely time had by all.
Very enjoyable birthday lunch! Excellent service ... as always!
Had a lovely birthday lunch with some friends. The service was fantastic and all our dishes were very tasty and beautifully presented. Couldn’t fault it. Will be back.
Excellent venue it feels like an individual resturant and not a chain.
Attention to detail and never hurried.
Our 4th visit and it was as good as the 1st visit.
Super choices and when the food arrives it tastes as good as it looked.
Plenty of drink choices too.
Excellent service, lovely ambience and very good food. Overall value is ok considering all of the above
Absolutely stunning interior a wonderful step into luxury. The menu was extensive with choices for all including vegetarians and vegans. The service was excellent and we were treated with a very friendly manner.
The food service ambiance were all excellent thoroughly enjoyed the evening as we were celebrating our anniversary
After a colossal disappointment at the Pump House, we were prepared for yet another tourist trap failure. They almost completely defied expectations. We arrived on time for our reservation and were offered a table in the entrance. I don't know what it is about us, couple in their 60s, but regardless of reservations we are always offered the least desirable table. Of course it was rejected. Not an issue as on a Tuesday evening in November occupancy rate was well below 70%. Why irritate your customer?
The table we preferred required resetting, a brief sojourn at the bar and seamless transfer to the table reset the evening. Service was crisp and accurate. Food selection and quality excellent and while cocktails were expensive (overpriced and overly fancy in almost every venue in the UK), wine was reasonable. We would return and would recommend the Ivy's ambiance to any visitor to Bath. Just push back a little on table selection. You are paying a premium price, insist on what you are paying for.
This was my first visit and it was spectacular. Very warm welcome and the food and wine was excellent. Definitely going back when I next go to Bath
I love going to the Ivy! The restaurant is beautifully furnished and I love the artwork. The food is lovely, a good varied menu, and they are able to accommodate my dairy allergy. The service was friendly and efficient.
Was such a lovley evening all waiters/ waitresses were polite and gave great service
Fantastic as always 3rd visit always made to feel special 💕
