   Most of the food was tasty but lacking in quantity and expensive for what we got, some of it was cold and one of the sides was tasteless unfortunately.

    Booked to take My husband for his birthday unfortunately, I wish I had chosen somewhere else. The service was poor the food quality was poor I have no idea what we were paying for. Over priced for poor quality food is so disappointing. Ordered the steak which was very fatty- not edible. Another steak was brought to us but this tasted equally poor. Probably once was a good restaurant with good service and food but now not even mediocre. Would not recommend or go again.

    We had the Champagne cream tea, a present from our son. We enjoyed everything everything presented with this tea. The staff were all lovey, professional and very helpful. We would definitely come again either for lunch or an afternoon tea.

    Quite a wait for initial drink service and then an over long time for refreshing the drinks. Staff need to watch the glasses and offer re supplies not wait until asked and then take a while and then some to get fresh drinks. The bar service needs to be more responsive. Aside from the service I will return. The food is reliable and of good quality and the ambience makes it! Love the art work.

    My daughter and I went to The Ivy during Wimbledon Tennis week. The white chocolate dessert shaped as a tennis ball, was stunning to look at and even better to eat. The thought and work that must have gone into that dessert was inspiring. A fabulous way to end the meal.

    The Ivy was so gracious that we arrived with small children, dripping from a day out sightseeing. The scones, smoothies, sandwiches, and tea were delicious and the children’s meal was tasty and nutritious. Wonderful afternoon tea for a quick stop in Bath.

    Our visit was disappointing and ‘underwhelming’ in comparison to other experiences. From a waiter literally throwing our food on the table, to inflexibility re dietary requirements plus a lack of planning for a main course which had an ingredient the diner couldn’t have (much to their surprise) and the waitress only advising the diner of this when the main course was delivered, missing an integral part of the main course. They also failed to recognise my friends 83rd birthday, which I outlined on the booking. Due to her age this is a very rare outing for her in Bath and one she was very much looking forward to and was disappointed with. I wish I had complained at the time but didn’t wish to embarrass the rest of my party. We left without having coffee and dessert and went elsewhere for this course. Whilst my wife and I have been given a voucher to attend the Ivy it is unlikely given this visit we will use it or return to the Ivy in future.

    The booking was made easily on the website . I made the booking for me and my two daughters for one of their birthdays. We also had my 8 month old grandson with us. Food delicious. Service was great. They even brought out a big profitta with a candle in it for her birthday.

    The Ivy is a lovely dining experience, great decor, lively chatty ambience, and great food, the scallops, salmon and steak are beautiful, the tomato soup with a whole warm sourdough loaf is to die for! Great range of drinks and cocktails, a very worthwhile visit.

    All courses and dishes were excellent. I was disappointed that the apple tarte tatin was no longer on the menu, but the rum baba more than made up for it - it was delicious.

    We arrived 40 minutes early for our booking & we were able to be seated! It was so good of them. It was a Monday so may not be able to accommodate on a busy weekend. Just such a nice place & great food too! Really friendly staff who were really attentive
