30th anniversary fab meal and fab service will be back
All the staff were very pleasant and professional. Food was well presented and tasted great. We will make a point of returning.
We came for a Fathers day meal on Sunday evening and were a little disappointed. MY daughters ordered the same cocktails and both came out very different, it took 3 attempts to get them correct. They were quite busy and service was quote slow. I had ordered a fillet steak for the mains and was told 30 minutes after ordering that they had no more fillet steaks. The waiter suggested that I order a Rib Eye which I then did and again 20 minutes later I was then told that they had also run out of Rib Eyes!! In the end I ordered a Shepherds pie which came out instantly which made me question how long it had been waiting on the pass. To make matters worse they had also run out of the chocolate bomb signature dessert by the time we had gotten round to ordering dessert. On the plus side they accommodated a request to slightly change a dish that my wife ordered and the starter salads that we had ordered were divine.
Amazing service, amazing food! Music was very very loud, and no chocolate bomb 😩😂
Fabulous atmosphere and pleasant lunch, would definitely go again
Very noisy with DJ hard to hear sometimes. Had minor issue with desserts and coffee but this was dealt with immediately. Had issue with gift voucher but this was resolved quickly and you were most apologetic. Food was lovely. Service slick and oustanding. The two hiccups wouldnt stop us eating here again.
Unfortunately the service we received was poor. Cold food, waiting far too long for coffee, moody waiter! Such a shame as the environment is beautiful and ambiance perfect, but this was spoilt by the food and service. Would not recommend.
Excellent food, staff and service! Would definitely return and recommend.
From walking in the door the service was exceptional. The food was amazing, loved the dj playing in the background. We can’t wait to go back.
Very rude bar lady when I saw her put the dregs of 2 bottles of house champagne into my glass and top up with a new bottle and I pointed this out as my £10 glass was not particularly sparkling so she took it away and threw the liquid into the sink and then poured me a glass from the newly opened bottles. Real attitude I'm afraid and not what I would expect frk such a lovely establishment.
40 mins wait between our starter and mains. Food brilliant though
Lovely afternoon tea for our anniversary - great place!
Food and decor exceeded my expectations! Best cakes I’ve ever eaten
Lovely food. Attentive staff. Great ambience! Will be back!
We had a lovely time for my son’s birthday and would go again
This was our first visit and it was everything we expected — will certainly be back
Service was outstanding and the food was great too. We will definitely return
Amazing building. Friendly staff. We will be back with family to share it.
Over priced not great food wouldn’t recommend decor nice
Wow 👍 first time to the ivy and thoroughly enjoyed the experience- will definitely be back 👍
Meal wasnt hot when brought out was changed but still charge I expected better for the standard of restraunt I also felt rushed.
it was lovely but very noisy and felt very stressful next to the kitchen door with lots of activity
the bathrooms were a long way from the brassiere and not very well maintained
food exceptional and waiter was amazing disappointed to hear how the service levy is apportioned
Excellent service!! Made my mum who was celebrating her 70th birthday feel very special - even brought out a little cake with a candle. Could not fault it at all.
Enjoyed the evening. I was served the wrong starter and there was a bit of a wait before the correct one arrived. My husband finished his by the time I got mine. However the food was good and we were not charged for my starter. The staff were good and I would definitely book to return next time we are in Manchester..
The food was great, I took my mother and she loved it too.
A terrible experience. The chef was unable to produce a rare fillet steak not once but twice. We waited over 40 minutes for the food to re cooked as requested which they still failed to do. The staff were not accomplished enough to know how to handle a very polite complaint. We left without having eaten and were not even offered ant kind of recompense. An air of arrogance prevailed and we will not be going again and will gladly recount our bad experience throughout our network
Good ambiance. Waiter attentive and courteous. Enjoyed our dining experience. Will definitely coming back
Excellent service excellent food what more can I say. The quality of food and service is amazing quite often in this day and age quite often you get good service but ordinary food or ordinary service and good food. My experience of The Ivy is quite frankly amazing and my whole day is made better for having been there.
Gorgeous food, wish the lobster risotto was available in a main course size! Lovely service and great ambience
It was our anniversary and the waiter presented us with complimentary pastries very discreetly and without attracting attention. The food was delicious. The venue felt special and the service was excellent.
Very slow service to start about 20mins after we sat at our table before a waiter asked if we wanted a drink etc .
It was my 1st visit to the Ivy and I can't wait to go back. Everything from the venue to the food and service was 1st class, and probably one of the best meals I've ever had
Lovely decor. Lunch menu very good value.
A little noisy at times, probably used by staff form the nearby business centre
Mum and her friend had a wonderful time. Food, service and ambience was fantastic.
Fabulous service and friendly staff and the food was amazing!
I have never been disappointed yet and would go for the chocolate bomb dessert alone.
I like the fact that the staff will adjust the menu/ingredients to suit my preferences; and they provide extra complementary coffee, and are friendly and accommodating. The food has always been of the highest quality. My favourite place in the U.K. at the moment.
From the welcome at the door to leaving the restaurant it was great. Friendly staff, cocktails were delicious including the non alcoholic ones and the food was very good. Generous portions, served hot and without long waits between courses. The ambience was perfect for our wedding anniversary and staff brought a little cheesecake treat to mark this.
Lovely drink on the rooftop. Ate in the brasserie, young waiter who was lovely and nothing too much trouble. I’m gluten free and they took it very seriously and were very helpful. Cocktails and food lovely...def be going back!
Our first visit to the Ivy and our silver wedding, we could not fault the experience, thank you to all the staff, including the doormen for making our evening so enjoyable.
The Ivy restaurant in Manchester was everything I expected and more. The decor oozes style and opulence. With the exception of the very tall guy wearing a floral jacket in reception, every member of staff wore a welcoming smile and displayed great customer service. The food was exquisite and the wine delicious. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant. It’s a real treat
Very pleasant evening. Food and drink great. Would certainly return.
