The Ivy Brasserie, Spinningfields
The Ivy Brasserie is open all day, seven days a week. Serving modern British classics for breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekend brunch and everything in-between.
The Ivy Asia and Bar is located on the second floor, open seven days a week from 5pm and from 12pm at the weekends. There is a central glamorous late night bar and the restaurant is illuminated with a show-stopping green, semi-precious stone floor serving Asian-inspired cocktails and sharing dishes with entertainment and resident DJ’s.
We visited the Ivy Brasserie for a family breakfast/brunch and had a lovely time. The ambience was great, lovely decor, great food, lovely waiter. Would highly recommend.
The food was fantastic, the restaurant very busy but service was good.
Great Saturday night atmosphere. Waiter was particularly good. Attentive but not over the top. We had ages at the table - not rushed at all. Nice length between courses. The mushroom & truffle starter was beautiful. Blackened cod stunning. I underestimated the portion size. Really quite a lot so a couple of sides to share with a friend was more than ample. Thoroughly enjoyed
Really excellent meal and great value for money. Only slight complaint is that the writing on the menu is small and the lighting in the restaurant is low so we (and others on neighboring tables) had to use the torch from the phone so that we could read it. Our waitress said it was a regular complaint. Minor point but relevant (just need the menu to be in bigger type).
Fantastic experience, food and service. Thank you!
We were impressed with the restaurant, the meal and service in the Brasserie however after our meal we asked if we were able to go upstairs for a drink to be advised yes we could . A staff member had checked with reception first but when we went to the rooftop bar we were then turned away as it was too busy and sent to the second floor restaurant where we could not get into either. It did ruin the end of our experience up and down the floors being turned away and though we explained to two separate managers no one seemed bothered to help us . So I loved the place for a meal but not a drink
Food was lovely. Service was exceptional. Loved the setting and the ambience. We were taken to our table half an hour late and there was unfortunately no apology. However, this did not ruin our trip. We had a fab time, we will be back.
A fabulous dining experience with excellent food and service, a special birthday outing made even more special.
The meal was amazing. Didn’t want to loose the taste.
The staff were very attentive but not too attentive just the perfect level.
Perfect in all ways - couldn't have been happier. First experience and would love to go back if I'm ever back in Manchester
The Morning was delightful, my friend and I enjoyed brunch then on to the Christmas markets. No faults to mention.
Different to other restaurants in decor it makes a welcome change. Staff all friendly. Food very very good
Great experience great atmosphere great service.
Fab will definitely be back great service great food
Although we had booked it took awhile for us to be seen to. Once we were advised a table was available we had to wait for it to be set and the member of staff who had showed us to our table was nowhere to be seen. The tables were very tightly packed together and the restaurant was very noisy.
Always very busy all days of the week. Good staff and good food.
Never fails to deliver a fantastic experience.
Ambiance and atmosphere were just right , the staff are excellent and the food hits the spot every time 👍
Fabulous food, great atmosphere and very attentive staff
One of our party had dietary needs and staff were more than accommodating to make their experience wasn’t spoilt.
I would definitely recommend
We dined for breakfast for my daughters 21st birthday. It was lovely from start to finish and topped by a little birthday cake compliments of the Ivy. I would highly recommend for a special occasion
Lovely place service was great food was lovely the tea served in proper silver tea pot was perfect. The only negative thing I would say is we were asked if we wanted a GLASS of water and we said okay that would be nice. A bottle was placed on our table and we had a glass each that was poured for us and then were charged £3.95. If I’d known that I would not have bothered, I thought it was a courtesy thing. We didn’t get to take the bottle with us as he took away even though I had paid for it. Very misleading but I would visit again but decline the offer of water.
FAbulous evening, great hosts and food spot on, cant wait to make a return visit! thank you!
Have been to the ivy for drinks not a meal. We were two couples and 1 couple are vegan. The choice for a vegans was good , derives was slick , all very helpful and amazing food.
Will definitely go again
Fantastic place to celebrate my birthday! The staff were attentive and warm, the food was excellent and the overall experience was amazing! I will definitely return!
This is my fourth visit to The Ivy Brasserie in Manchester and everything was excellent. This time I came with my husband and I had a voucher for £100 which was a gift from my nieces. I discovered that there would be no change given from the voucher which is unsatisfactory. I don't drink much at lunchtime and my husband is teetotal. To spend £100 for the sake of spending it is not really ideal. I managed to get to £83 as I had two glasses of the most expensive wine. I asked for the £17 to go to gratuities as our waiter was wonderful. I do hope my request was fulfilled! This voucher system needs altering in my view.
Waiting 20 minutes between each starter coming out. My partners starter came out, leaving him waiting for me to receive mine 20 minute later.
Chicken Milanese was very oily and wasn’t what was expected due to the status of the restaurant.
Great service. Really make you feel special. Food was spot on.
Came for my birthday. Service was excellent. Upgraded the table as my daughter was on crutches and no room at the original table. Food was delicious and so much. Lively experience
Went for a first time visit with a school friend. Lunch set menu great value, portion size good. Great service from the welcome at the door and reception through to dining. Table service always available when needed but not obtrusive.
Great atmosphere, service was excellent
Food was fab, service was impeccable.
Lovely ambiance greeted and sat down very quickly The service excellent my only problem I had the fish and chips. The chips were very disappointing
Prepared to pay the price
Thank you Aaron for really making my friends birthday super special. You are a credit to The Ivy 😊
Better than expectation. Felt very special will definitely come again.
Visited here on Sunday for a table of four and found the restaurant to offer a generous variety of dishes which were excellent value for money.
We had the brioche, duck salad, scallops, followed by fish and chips, burger, lamp rump and black cod with sides of truffle chips and spinach, the table shared a chocolate Bombe.
Every dish was served hot and had bags of flavour, for somewhere different than the usual big brands, it is definitely worth a visit and somewhere 'a bit special' if you're looking to celebrate a special occasion.
Staff friendly and attentive without being intrusive, everyone had a smile for us from start to finish, a definite 10 out of 10!
Amazing lunch , really good service, staff very attentive.
Food was very average, starters were the best part of the meal our mains were below average, my friends salmon was bland and very over cooked. The decor is lovely and there is a decent atmosphere and the service in the restaurant was good, I found the staff on the front desk very un engaging and verging in rude. After all it is a restaurant so the food should really deliver and it definitely doesn’t so I doesnt be going back.
Overall a good experience but the restaurant is so busy. The service and food are great but the tables are cramped and close together so the noise levels are very high. A small aside in that the restrooms are nowhere near adequate for a restaurant of this size. Having to walk up 2 floors is ridiculous.
Food came out with us ordering within 10 minutes - I know waiting long for food is never good, but seemed too quick.
vegetables with lamb were cold.
Steak did not have any garnishes.. whilst I understand you need order chips/sides it would have been nice to have veg/salad on the side.
Food was average service and place amazing would go back to roof terrace next time
