The Ivy Brasserie, Spinningfields
The Ivy Brasserie is open all day, seven days a week. Serving modern British classics for breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekend brunch and everything in-between.
The Ivy Asia and Bar is located on the second floor, open seven days a week from 5pm and from 12pm at the weekends. There is a central glamorous late night bar and the restaurant is illuminated with a show-stopping green, semi-precious stone floor serving Asian-inspired cocktails and sharing dishes with entertainment and resident DJ’s.
Beautiful restaurant, but food and service was not great
Was a lovely evening food was excellent and the service but music level was bit over the top couldn’t hear much because of music level otherwise it’s great night
Thsi was quite an average meal. More style than substance. Food was nothing special. Wine list was good. Very overpriced for what it was. Perhaps the place is too big to give the great food/service that one would expect after the hype and from the prices charged
Definitely worth visiting. Lovely decor and food was very nice. It is quite tightly packed in there but sound level just about makes it so you can’t hear the tables next to you but you can hear the others in your party if you raise your voice slightly. Chocolate bomb was the best desert I’ve had and rest of the table agreed. Price wasn’t too bad either. £300 inc service for 4 people of which 2 had 3 courses and 2 had 2 courses. Also included bottle of wine at £50.
Believe the hype and DO go! Simply stunning and made complete by the FIRST CLASS service levels.
A special mention to “MARCO”....you made our night, thank you - Phil & Jacky
Fantastic meal to celebrate my friends birthday we couldn't fault anything
Great food and service, the tables are placed close to each other so it’s quite loud, but good atmosphere and would recommend overall.
Excellent service and food. Reasonably priced food, drinks are pricey but it’s what you expect. Would have been too noisy if we had been seated in the centre
Great place, great service, amazing staff. Top quality food and drinks.
Very disappointed that a special occasion wasn’t recognised despite this being requested. Whilst others around us were receiving birthday treats our occasion was completely ignored. Alerted staff and still was ‘left out’. Complete lack of attention to detail.
This was our second visit to The Ivy. Food and Service excellent, would highly recommend this restaurant.
We were misinformed about the price of a bottle, there was a communication barrier & we had to pay more than expected. Overall food was amazing & everything went well. There was confusion about a booking & brought the mood down.
The Ivy Spinningfields was one of the best restaurants that I have ever dined in. The service was of excellent quality and the food was simply Devine. The aesthetics of the restaurant itself left little to be desired; the ambience, the music, the layout - all of such a high standard. The staff were extremely friendly and the food came quickly also. 10/10 for an overall dining experience, highly recommended.
We were super excited to spend a night at Ivy Brasserie. We made a reservation months ago and were very sad when we saw our table at Ivy. It was right next to the entrance and looked like a table they had just set up two fit more guests. We asked for a different one, but they told us they were fully booked. Was disappointing but we made the best out of it.
We ordered cocktails, starters, a bottle of wine and main courses. We had to wait very long for the main course and then the beef fillet came - cold and totally burnt on one side. When I told the waiter he told me "This looks fine, it should be like that" - I then insisted on speaking to a different waiter. He took my plate and came back a few minutes later with the same plate. It was the chef de service and he told me if I ordered "medium well-done" for my meat, it always comes like that. I then told him that it is not correct, a fillet is never burnt and at least it should be served still warm/hot. He took it back but said he can't guarantee it would be different the next time. It then came around 20-30 minutes later (!), my friend was done eating - but it was at least good then. They offered us a dessert in the end at least.
Overall, lovely restaurant, well decorated. But poor service! Typical for a hip restaurant in my opinion.
We were over the moon with being able to get in at the last minute for our anniversary meal. The staff were all great and our little anniversary treat was very thoughtful.
The food was tasty and very hot, the bill wasn’t as bad as we were expecting so I think the value was pretty good.
I like the decor and the little touch of dimming the lights was nice.
Only negative is that you are very ‘cosy’ with your neighbours and feel like you’re packed in a bit. But we had nice neighbours.
Booked this as a treat with a friend. The food and the service was really good. Also not as expensive for food as you might think. This Ivy definitely isn't as exclusive as the other. The music is too loud for any kind of conversation really. It's more of a pre night out vibe than it should be in the brasserie. I would go back. I wouldn't book for a romantic meal though.
Great food great service my only complaint would be that we were on the ground floor and the toilets on the 2nd floor.
Portion of shepherds pie was more like a starter than main. Very poor value, a ramekin portion of food for £14??
Two of us dined, both plates of food were barely tepid.
Love the place, but not the food.
Food was really enjoyable and tasty.
Wine was quite expensive.
Staff very polite and efficient. Initially we were served by a trainee waiter called Juan, very friendly and courteous.
I had a really enjoyable birthday in the ivy , a lovely waiter from Switzerland served us very well
My daughters birthday
Lovely dinner with family to celebrate a birthday. Great service and attention to detail. Wished a happy birthday from the onset and provided a lovely surprise for birthday member. Food was served on time and the waitress was amazing with serving us drinks and making sure we felt valued. Look forward to visiting again soon.
Excellent service with really nice food and drink.
This is my 4th visit so you are obviously doing something right. The food was amazing , I usually go for the Ivy Shepherds Pie but had steak tartare which was perfect. Two of my friends had never been before and will certainly be returning. The girl who served us was a delight and very knowledgeable
A fabulous venue, we went to celebrate two birthdays and loved every minute of our visit. Great cocktails & beer at the bar, fantastic service, delicious food - could not have had a better time! Highly recommended.
Everything that was expected and more ... a very friendly greeting at the door absolutely love the jackets the young gentlemen wear. Perfect table , our waitress was very helpful and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. It was the prefect afternoon for my sisters 40th birthday. I will definitely be returning.
I was celebrated my birthday with my friends. The waiter who served us was so nice. We had great time. Strongly recommended.
Food was delicious waiter was excellent ambience was fantastic really good value for Money we would definitely recommend the ivy Manchester to friends and we will definitely be returning again door staff and reception was extremely pleasant came with my wife and daughter found everything was great
1st visit and had a lovely and relaxing lunch. Excellent and will definitely be going again
This was a good restaurant with high standards suffering from 'Monday Night Blues'. Most areas - not quite up to the mark.
Good, friendly service and amazing food. Highly recommend it
Had the 2-course set menu prior to going to the theatre. Service and food were excellent. Very friendly staff. This was my second visit and I will definitely be going again!
The service from all members of staff was outstanding. Congratulations on having such delightful, friendly
people working for you restaurant. Will certainly come again.
Excellent restaurant and the food was superb. 19th Birthday treat for my son, who thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was second to non. Will definately be back.
The food was great, but took close to an hour to arrive as the kitchen prioritises the roof terrace when it’s busy.
I would not recommend the Ivy. We were truly disappointed. We arrived and there had been a mix up with the booking and where told to wait at the bar with a drink. Half an hour later I approached the door staff asking how long the wait to which she replied ‘well you haven’t come back to me, have you’ I would expect the lady on the reception to come over to show us to our table. When then sat down couldn’t fault the afternoon tea and love the dj playing at the decks. The waitress began clearing the afternoon tea whilst we were still eating and I said we haven’t finished and she replied with ‘I’m just taking the stand’ I think that’s really rude when the party is still eating. Not impressed at all
The ivy is a perfect retreat. The Elegant and beautiful decor creates the perfect ambiance.
The service was amazing. The food ... Delicious!
Take yourself up-to the rooftop bar for a cocktail or two and enjoy the views. A perfect day out. Thankyou
The waitress brought my partner wrong meal apologised saying it was her fault then left the potatoes which went cold as she had to get the correct meal which took 10 minutes she brought new potatoes and said meal would be a couple of minutes which was another 10 minutes so potatoes cold again and I had eaten my lunch. New meal arrived and after complaining was given a complimentary dessert. This was a birthday lunch. Not impressed.
Absolutely brilliant - It was our anniversary and we really enjoyed our experience. We've been a few times and wanted to treat ourselves to a visit. The staff are excellent and the food always is top notch.
great food and lovely venue
