The Ivy Brasserie, Spinningfields
The Ivy Brasserie is open all day, seven days a week. Serving modern British classics for breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekend brunch and everything in-between.
The Ivy Asia and Bar is located on the second floor, open seven days a week from 5pm and from 12pm at the weekends. There is a central glamorous late night bar and the restaurant is illuminated with a show-stopping green, semi-precious stone floor serving Asian-inspired cocktails and sharing dishes with entertainment and resident DJ’s.
Went to celebrate our anniversary. The food was very good snd the service was excellent. Very attentive staff, couldn't have asked for more. We ate in the Brasserie and it was a beautiful setting we will definitely be going back and would recommend!
Beautiful setting, lovely food and reasonably priced. We did wait 45 minutes for our brunch to arrive once ordered, for which we then had the price of our drinks deducted from the bill, otherwise we really enjoyed our first visit.
Just a great experience again. Want to keep going back
Great decor, great atmosphere, great service but food in brasserie was not great but will try breakfast and lunch to see if anything different in quality with other sections. Think there was heavy emphasis of style of food over quality of it.
Our first visit to The Ivy, Spinningfields.
The menu was disappointing - a reasonable range offered but little use of imagination. I ordered Sirloin steak but they’d sold out.
Drinks were served promptly but our food order took 1.5 hours to arrive. Tian of Crab/Avocado was poorly seasoned and lacked flavour. The Tempura Prawns with Crispy Squid was awful; Squid rubbery and tasteless.
Main courses faired no better. I can’t remember eating a worse minute steak. Cooked without seasoning and tough, with sinews in every bite. Lobster was ok.
Our waitress was pleasant and apologetic, and our bill was reduced without us asking (it isn’t our practice to do so).
We were left with insufficient time to order desserts.
Overall, very disappointing.
Food of average quality at best. Service ok but bill contained drinks we hadn't had. Service added to bill which always annoys me.
Amazing night here. Staff was wonderful and couldn’t do enough for you. Excellent food and service
The food was amazing the drinks was really nice and service was fantastic. We only have one down point. We found the table to be far to close to each other to the point you could hear each other’s conversations and felt you was careful what to say. You had to squeeze between the tables, resulting in the cloth being pulled. This might not be an issue to some people but to me and my husband when you go out for a private meal that’s what you want it to be like. If it wasn’t for this would have defo given a 5/5. Thank you
The best fillet steak we’ve ever had, excellent service. Will be back again.
Great experience. Helpful and friendly staff. Super food.
A bit of a hiccup at the start when the lady on reception suggested we sit at the bar while we wait for our table, having seen my 76 yesr old disabled mother on crutches (the bar only had tall seats)! Apart from that all of the other staff were very helpful. We had the afternoon tea and the cakes were fabulous. Fantastic roof terrace. A good day out for my dad's 75th birthday.
The meal was very nice, ambient environment and service was very good. However, when the bill came an incorrect drink had been added, as well as 15% service charge when only 2 in the party. When questioned they removed the drink and the service charge was only voluntary. If voluntary then they should have asked or made it clear. We did tip our waitress as she was good but I felt the stealth charges were a little under hand.
This was a fantastic venue with great ambiance and staff go above and beyond!
The only thing that was disappointing was the size of the shepherds pie, my husband ordered this wanting a hearty eat, although the pie was delicious, probably size wise a small toddler could manage, ordered sides of fries and vegetables, but this could do with bring larger really. Gorgeous bathrooms and roof terrace bar staff very friendly. Thank you
Love taking people there as it’s really special Love the food and the cocktails. Had a wonderful evening celebrating my granddaughters birthday
Not often I leave a review but I have to say couldn't be faulted in any way. I have already bought two gift vouchers as birthday presents.
I found the quality of food did not meet my expectations and it was very expensive. I guess you are paying for the brand. I won’t be rushing back
We really enjoyed our meal at lunch time, the only thing I found was that I felt a little cold in the downstairs eating area.
First and last visit to the Ivy Manchester .
The Brasserie was freezing as was the food. We had the blackened cod which was very disappointing. Service was lacklustre and they had the cheek to add £21.33 service charge to the bill for 3 of us !!!!
Coffee was rubbish and no fudge or biscuit with it - overall nothing special at all very disappointing
It felt quite special being at The Ivy. We enjoyed an afternoon tea and the food was lovely, we both loved the chicken brioche rolls and the scones in particular. Drinks service was quite slow - we waited 20 minutes for our first drink and it wasn’t packed with people at 3pm, so we felt that the service could have been slightly quicker. We will be back though.
Some of the staff could do with being a bit smarter. Could have had a friendlier greeting.
We had a fabulous meal here following the Half Marathon.
The service was great, the food was amazing and the surroundings were stunning.
Amazing service and food! The girls even created some mocktails due to me being pregnant!
We cannot wait to return and try the ivy Asia when the baby is born! 🥂🍾
We arrived late due to traffic, the front of house staff were unfriendly and sent us straight to our table, no drink at the bar, even though you weren’t full. The food was awful, oven chips, dried up chicken, smallest shepherds pies ever! The table was really hard to get in and out off, felt cramped in. Won’t be returning an extremely disappointing experience.
Excellent service and brilliant food. Will be coming back. Did something a little extra for birthday. Good seating layout. Was overall amazing.
I think the service wasn’t as good we have experienced at other visits. The staff in the restaurant where quite grumpy and didn’t make us feel that welcome Had a drink in the bar upstairs first they were more friendly
Beautiful restaurant, but food and service was not great
Was a lovely evening food was excellent and the service but music level was bit over the top couldn’t hear much because of music level otherwise it’s great night
Thsi was quite an average meal. More style than substance. Food was nothing special. Wine list was good. Very overpriced for what it was. Perhaps the place is too big to give the great food/service that one would expect after the hype and from the prices charged
First time at The Ivy celebrating a birthday with my girlfriends. It was amazing.
The food was exceptional and service very good.
The cocktails were delicious and I would definitely recommend.
The waiters were accommodating and responded very nicely when we asked if we could move tables.
The vibe was great and we will definitely be returning
Beautiful restaurant/bar, atmosphere brilliant and food amazing, would recommend
We were very excited to visit the Ivy. We were met by a really lovely doorman and thought as he was so friendly we were in for a good night. Our table was right at the door so we didn't get to experience the full decor of the place despite booking our table 4 months earlier, but we sat where we were asked to. The food was OK, the drinks were expensive and the table service was nice but what made our evening turn really sour were the bar staff at the rooftop bar. They were rude and almost nasty. I will not be going again and I certainly will not be recommending to anyone. 20 stories on the other hand was AMAZING!!!
Definitely worth visiting. Lovely decor and food was very nice. It is quite tightly packed in there but sound level just about makes it so you can’t hear the tables next to you but you can hear the others in your party if you raise your voice slightly. Chocolate bomb was the best desert I’ve had and rest of the table agreed. Price wasn’t too bad either. £300 inc service for 4 people of which 2 had 3 courses and 2 had 2 courses. Also included bottle of wine at £50.
We arrived a little early and the table was ready so we were shown through. The table was near the door so every time it opened there was a strong draft coming into the restaurant as the front door was permanently open. We ordered sourdough bread and zucchini fries to share along with drinks. The drinks arrived and we then ordered our main course. The wait was acceptable and 3 of the main courses arrived (4 people in the party). We waited about 5 minutes for our friends meal but nothing arrived, no waitress came back to the table and I have to make an effort to get her attention and ask where the 4th meal was. Our food was going cold by this time so we started. Our waitress had brought the main courses but had not even noticed that they were one short. She came back from the kitchen with an apology and said the meal would be along in a few minutes. The 4th meal arrive in approximately 5 minutes, by this time the rest of the part had almost finished our food, so my friend ate most of her meal alone. We had to call over for more drinks which took approx 15 minutes to arrive and by the time they arrived we had all finished our main course. We asked for the desert menu, choose what we were going to order but again we could not attract the attention of anyone to place our order. By this time we had been in the restaurant for almost 2 hours and had only had a main course and two glasses of champagne due to the poor service. We decided to leave as he had to catch a train at 9pm and decided to go to 20 stories for a drink (which we had not planned but were so disappointed with the service. The food was very good and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great. The service was such a let down and forgetting one meal was such a let down. I won't be recommending the Ivy to my friends but I may try the restaurant again some time in the future.
Believe the hype and DO go! Simply stunning and made complete by the FIRST CLASS service levels.
A special mention to “MARCO”....you made our night, thank you - Phil & Jacky
Fantastic meal to celebrate my friends birthday we couldn't fault anything
Amazing food with great service for a busy Saturday can’t wait to return 🥂
Enjoyed the evening, food was ok. Didn’t seem enough waiting on staff, waited a while for drinks to arrive.
My friend was charged twice on her card, we only noticed this the next day.
Beautiful decor & lovely ambiance, afternoon tea is perfect and good value. Toliets are amazing too!!!
Great food and service, the tables are placed close to each other so it’s quite loud, but good atmosphere and would recommend overall.
Excellent service and food. Reasonably priced food, drinks are pricey but it’s what you expect. Would have been too noisy if we had been seated in the centre
