The Ivy Brasserie, Spinningfields
The Ivy Brasserie is open all day, seven days a week. Serving modern British classics for breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekend brunch and everything in-between.
The Ivy Asia and Bar is located on the second floor, open seven days a week from 5pm and from 12pm at the weekends. There is a central glamorous late night bar and the restaurant is illuminated with a show-stopping green, semi-precious stone floor serving Asian-inspired cocktails and sharing dishes with entertainment and resident DJ’s.
Mesmerized by the building and this time by the ambiance in the restaurant food and service. Unfortunate we did not keep the booking for the geisha room for our next birthday gathering.
Amazing food and service, highly recommend and will definitely return.
Delicious food and great service...enjoyed every minute!
Second time dining at the Ivy, afternoon tea first time roof top garden, brasserie second time both beautiful food in both would definitely recommend wonderful experience overall
Fantastic Sunday afternoon late lunch , great music and fantastic service from our waiter that day! Great food and drinks, and a great setting !
Love the venue - have been before. Food is very average and tables for 2 are extremely close together.
Gin cocktail was fab! Think I prefer the food in Ivy Asia...
Lovely decor, fabulous food and friendly staff . Will definitely visit again
Enjoyed the meal everything perfect staff couldn't have done anymore made us feel special thanks
We had booked a table for 5 for a friends birthday, a couple of the guests were a surprise, but due to train cancellations then running late. The staff were great in helping to keep the surprise going until they arrived. Perfect service, couldn’t fault a thing. Thank you to all the amazing staff
Poor food quality, not worth the price.
Expensive and loud. Will never go back again.
The food and service was absolutely wonderful. We felt a little close to the other table. But this was my only concern
Overall, disappointing. We took good friends as part of their wedding present thinking it would live up to its reputation and it didn't. The food was average, my partners Lamb had to be sent back as it was mostly fat, and my friends Tuna was tasteless. To be fair they replaced the lamb with minimum fuss and that piece was fine. We heard the table next to us send food back too. There were no problems with the other two meals and the good points were the Prawn Cocktail starter and the desserts.
From a service point of view, we had to call the waitress back and ask them to take away the empty glasses, as when they brought the main, they just pushed them out of the way to make way for the food - it was obvious there was no room! On a positive note, the surroundings are nice and the staff we encountered were all lovely. Like I said at the beginning, it was the Ivy, I expected better. For me San Carlo is a better experience
Felt the clientele being let in was questionable, there was a group of young men with really bad language being allowed in at the same time as we entered and it took us a while to get over what we had overheard which was off putting. Food was usual standard - could have been slightly warmer was bordering on being cold.
Tables very close together, poorly lit, very noisy ,DJ on in a restaurant a bit odd, wont be returning
All round excellent on Saturday night at the Ivy. Would definitely recommend for that special occasion and will definitely visit again soon
Not enough, too noisy, too dark, expensive, had to shout at each other to talk
We had a wonderful night at the Ivy. Food and service was amazing
Another fabulous experience at The Ivy Manchester. The staff are lovely and friendly and our waiter Aaron was brilliant. He was friendly, entertaining and very efficient. The food is always excellent. I thoroughly recommend it.
Gorgeous restaurant, very attentive staff and the food was delicious.
A lovely afternoon spent with my grandma for her 90th. The staff were so lovely and attentive. The afternoon tea was yummy. A good day was had by all.
The service was fantastic as was the overall experience.
The ambience is great, decor and atmosphere fantastic!
After arriving at the bar to order drinks whilst waiting for our table, the staff member took our request for a bottle of wine and then left the bar area. We thought she had gone to get the bottle from another area but when she came back 10 minutes later empty handed , she admitted forgetting all about us! We were the only people sat around the bar so not sure how we slipped her mind!
my meal of eggs benedict was lovely and reasonably priced but my mothers hot roast beef was very cold. She mentioned this to the waiter who immediately took it away and arranged for another one to be made, this again wasn’t very warm at all. We weren’t charged for my mothers meal and were offered complimentary tea, coffee or dessert but as going to the theatre we hadn’t time to accept this offer.
I would still visit again as hoping we were just a bit unlucky on the day.
The waiter was brilliant and overall they tried to rectify our issue promptly and graciously. This visit was a treat for my mother so even though would give it another try , it was a bit of a let down.
We went to The Ivy for a birthday brunch.
Decor is quirky and fabulous.
Food was delicious.
All staff were polite, friendly and helpful.
If you’re looking for somewhere a bit different for a special occasion then try The Ivy.
Booking in advance is essential.
Service very slow, we had to wait a long time to catch attention to refill our glasses etc. Food was mediocre and took a very long time to arrive. Front of house rude and disorganized with large groups of people being moved around and nobody really knowing what was going on eg. People waiting to be seated, people waiting for coats, people trying to ask questions to front of house
Do not appreciate a service charge, hard to ask to take that off. Should be up to customer if they want to tip! Tables far to close together, I was closer to the two strangers next to me on my right and left than I was my dining companion.
Place looks great but tables were very cramped in the brazerrie probably to get more people in but just spoiled the whole effect
Food a little slow on main course but waiter came and explained there was a slight delay which wasn’t a problem but when food arrived it was just warm which was disappointing as it tasted very nice
High quality evening brilliant experience. A great birthday treat
A beautiful setting at Spinningfields and a lovely room with various areas, beautifully decorated - welcoming reception staff and attentive waiting staff but not overly intrusive.
Lovely classic food and some twists and also a great daytime set menu. Afternoon tea also available and looked lovely.
If you like glitz and a pretentious footballers wives atmosphere you will love this place. They put five of us around a table I wouldn't have sat three people. The last time I sat at a table that small was La Duree in Paris. The original back in the day IVY was terrific, this is a massively diluted and not very good reinvention.
Once you have been wowed by the overpowering nature of the decorations and interior design, it soon becomes tiring to look at.
The service was at best pleasant and on the basis we were not sat with superstars we were pretty much left alone.
It wasn't actually to pricey its just that value isn't all in the £££, the hostesses were snooty and made you feel a bit awkward. The waiters didn't love their jobs they were just there.
Truth is the food is OK. The accommodation is VERY cramped. The service was a bit BLAH. The decor was BLING! The experience over all was UNDERWHELMING.
Going back maybe...but only for a cup of tea and a crumpet with marmite and mustard... cos that was the highlight. 4/10
Well looked after, lovely table and ambience and food good as always.
I had been wanting to go since it’s opened so we booked into the Brasserie. I was quite surprised how reasonable priced it was. I had Prawn and tempura and pepper squid to start, good sized portion. Followed by beautiful seared tuna with creamed spins he’d, sweet roast potato in a Harris’s coconut yoghurt. We also had a glass of champagne ea h. There was only 2 of us and they automatically put a service charge on, which we were happy to pay. The food was delicious came away full and £50 pp for that. Can’t wait to go back and our server was Kin who was just lovely
Overall the experience was very good and we had an enjoyable evening.
However we had gone for my daughter's 30th birthday and when I booked I put a note on the booking through open table asking for a candle on her dessert.
I was booked in at 7pm. I rang the Ivy half an hour before arriving just to confirm if this was possible.
The lady I spoke with said there was a note on the booking and they could do this. Great!
This however never happened.
I did not wish to mention this Infront of her as to dampen the otherwise great evening.
I was a little disappointed for an establishment of this calibre to stumble on something so simple.
I had left it in their hands and was let down.
On a very positive note, the décor and ambiance is a marvel. A must visit to take it in.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere, great service and modern, contemporary twist on your food which had faultless presentation.
Beautiful settings. First class service by all staff. Hiccup with my daughter steak. But waiter was so helpful and replaced it straight away. But it didn't take away from the overall experience. Would definitely recommend and would be delighted to go again. I eat from the set menu and portion size were great. My food was delicious. All three courses
Brilliant time was had by both of us 😁
Great lunch, overall very satisfied with entire experience.
A lovely lunch from the set menu. Beautifully cooked food and fair sized portions. Great service and advice from Paul. Drinks are a tad expensive though.....
We were in Manchester shopping and decided it would be a great way to relax by having an intimate meal for the two of us at the Ivy. It’s our 1st time at the Ivy having dined at other fine dining establishments in Manchester. We must say this ranks amongst the best for food quality, attentive staff and atmosphere. The roof top bar is a pleasant and cosy location for a pre lunch aperitif.
What a fabulous place. Staff were amazing as was the food. This is the third time I have visited the restaurant and it always lives up to my expectations. Thank you.
Great food, great service and brilliant atmosphere, highly recommend.
My first time at this Ivy and I was impressed. I am a regular diner at other branches, and the consistency is remarkable.
I liked the decor, atmosphere, staff & the food, 3 diners, 3 different choices, was all very tasty & well presented.
