The Ivy Brasserie, Spinningfields
The Ivy Brasserie is open all day, seven days a week. Serving modern British classics for breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekend brunch and everything in-between.
The Ivy Asia and Bar is located on the second floor, open seven days a week from 5pm and from 12pm at the weekends. There is a central glamorous late night bar and the restaurant is illuminated with a show-stopping green, semi-precious stone floor serving Asian-inspired cocktails and sharing dishes with entertainment and resident DJ’s.
It's my fourth visit & I just love it.
See you all soon x
fantastic service the waitress even arranged a complementary dessert for me and my sons birthday celebrations.
Great rooftop bar to have pre-dinner drinks. Booked at The Brasserie and had Salted Sourdough together with tempura squid and prawns to start. The bread was beautifully warm and was delicious with melted butter on. My wife had the grilled halloumi served on a bed of large cous cous and red pepper puree which was gorgeous. I had the fillet steak with parmesan and truffle chips which was beautifully cooked and an amazing piece of meat. I would recommend this as a dining experience in Manchester.
Complete waste of money , food very poor for the price
The Ivy looks impressive but if f you look past the glam the restaurant is pretty basic. When we first arrived it took 30 minutes to be served a drink. The starter was nice but my main of fish and chips was awful. The batter wasn’t crispy and the whole thing was too salty.
I wouldn’t go back.
Staff & service - excellent! Very friendly and professional. Decor is beautiful. Seating is very comfortable. Food was excellent, had a little issue with the chips but this was soon resolved by the lovely staff - thank you. Just overall amazing experience. Highly recommended and will be returning.
Excellent food with great service highly recommend.
Wasn’t overwhelmed really the eggs were undercooked on my breakfast it put me off and I didn’t finish it. One of my friends egged on her eggs Royale were also undercooked.
Overall a great night everyone in high spirits considering whats going on in the world!
Delicious food lively atmosphere and great company made for a memorable retirement celebration. Excellent venue for that special occasion.
Food was amazing! The only downside was we were asked to leave our table after only being there 1 hour 10 minutes, our waiter spoke to his manager and we were offered a free drink to apologise, would definitely go back though!
Fantastic food fantastic service we had a great evening
Every thing was excellent except for the Monkfish and Prawn curry dish which only contained one tiny prawn.
This was pointed out to the waiter and the dish was re made this time with a good amount of monkfish and prawns.
Decor and ambience is fantastic!
Every course was delicious!
Lovely place which we will visit again!
Compared to the Leeds restaurant the service was poor and unattentive. Whilst the food was of the same standard overall I was very disappointed. Lack of attention to detail; I had to ask twice when our table would be ready and we did not sit down until 40 minutes after our reservation time with no apology. We had 3 or 4 different servers and there did not seem to be a host in our section or anyone looking after us. They forgot to bring the olives I ordered and we never recieved them as well as some condiments.
Lovely food and friendly staff all made for a very enjoyable evening
Nice ambience, mediocre food and service was okay it was my friends birthday and I was hoping for a little sing song when I asked to bring out a little something for her, as the cake I brought into the restaurant wasn’t allowed to be eaten Inside the restaurant. Which I understand but.... the way the dessert they provided was presented was bad! no warning, no sing song literally a drop and leave. The food was okay nothing special . Overall I wouldn’t visit the brassiere again.
We went for pre-drinks in the roof-top bar which was lovely (and gave us chance to check out the other floors!) and then made our way back to the Brasserie. The atmosphere, service and food were second to none. I'd highly recommend the Monk Fish and Prawn curry and the chocolate bomb for dessert.
Excellent table service. Good food and good atmosphere on a cold rainy Manchester night.
Only criticism would be the tables for 2 are much too close together. Felt uncomfortable
We were going to the theatre and decided to use their early menu.
The steak, eggs & chips were delicious highly recommended .
However, toilets were filthy, a very poor reflection on the brand especially in the current health climate.
Fantastic squid and prawn starter, excellent fish and chips!
Well-served good food in comfortable surroundings. Our table for two in The brasserie setting was too close for comfort to the neighbouring tables. Background music was not in the background and could have been toned down - these were the only negatives to an otherwise enjoyable late lunch.
Brilliant again. Really enjoyed the evening. Choices were plenty and service was first class. Quality one more.
Gorgeous afternoon tea. Lovely ambience. No trouble for extra drinks and usual first class service from Dean as always
We were well looked after by the staff.Food was excellent particulally the salmon
dishes which were to "die for".Definitely reccomend it.
A wonderful welcome, beautiful table and excellent service. Good menu with ample choice, the wine list was also excellent. The dishes themselves were very well presented and a very fine lunch was enjoyed by all.
Staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Loved the uniform! And ambience made it feel like a special occasion. First time - hope to be back.
Great welcome! Excellent meal with great attention to detail. Service first class.
The only negative was that the tables were too close together and the girl on the next table didn’t pause for breath.
Everything was perfect the ambiance, decor, service and of course the food. Would definitely recommend.
Great Service, we had a meal before the theatre and so had a time constraint, which was met easily. Would definitely choose to eat here again.
Impressed with the food and efficiency of service, only one minor gripe being that the light level was low for reading menus - maybe not a problem for younger eyes!
Lovely meal with good service. We were given a great round table for three of us which was very spacious. The food was very good just a shame my first choice starter and my sons main was not available. The restaurant was quiet but it was a Sunday evening. The interior design is fabulous with lots of plant which we all liked. Would go back if in Manchester again.
The atmosphere, service and attention to detail is excellent. The food was delicious and is hard to fault. Cameron, our waiter, was a lovely guy who really made the experience. We had a great meal and will definitely return.
The experience was very professional and sleek from the moment we walked through the doors and continued to be so throughout our booking . Highly pleasurable
Food was amazing as always and very attentive with allergy. However we were only offered a drink once in 2 and a half hours.
The roof terrace was good and the waiter was incredibly consideration and attentive.
Good atmosphere and staff very nice and friendly.
Very pleasant Birthday breakfast with great food in a wonderful environment.
4 of us arrived before the table was ready so asked to go upsatirs for 1/2 hr and have a drink in the bar,
Got to the bar and nowhere to stand, asked a waiter if we could use one of the tables that were free but was told they were taken, Still available when we were due for our table back downstairs, then asked again to go for a drink in the bar as the table still not available. Got sat down and waiters cutting through the back of our table during our time rather than go around an extra table and follow the walkway making very uncomfortable.
The food was ok but have eaten better in Manchester.
Wouldn't rush to go back.
cant fault the food or the ambiance but there were a couple of issues:
I asked for a glass of Merlot and the waiter said they didn't sell it by the glass (I hadn't looked at the wine list, just assumed), he recommended Pino Noir. I agreed without thinking much of it. I then asked to see the drinks menu to check before ordering another and saw that Merlot was on the menu by the glass and that Pint Noir was more than twice the price. when I questioned the Merlot the waiter said that the menu must be outdated but he didn't mean to sell me something much pricier. I dont think you should recommend a£16 a glass wine in place of £7.50 glass of wine without pointing out the price difference.
the only other issue is that we waited about 20 minutes after finishing our desserts and no one came to us. eventually I caught someones eye to get the bill, really it shouldn't be down to me to make that happen.
