The Ivy Brasserie, Spinningfields
The Ivy Brasserie is open all day, seven days a week. Serving modern British classics for breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekend brunch and everything in-between.
The Ivy Asia and Bar is located on the second floor, open seven days a week from 5pm and from 12pm at the weekends. There is a central glamorous late night bar and the restaurant is illuminated with a show-stopping green, semi-precious stone floor serving Asian-inspired cocktails and sharing dishes with entertainment and resident DJ’s.
The food was absolutely delicious, Aaron our waiter had us laughing and really made us feel like we could have stayed all day rather than being rushed out etc
Really good food and service, staff were welcoming, polite and very attentive.
The Ivy never disappoints. Started the evening with a nice glass of prosecco in the Roof Top bar and then dined in the Brasserie. Food was fantastic, choice of food and drink excellent, service impeccable and the overall ambience was amazing.
Having been on a few occasions and loved it . I decided to bring a friend for a birthday treat and was a little bit disappointed with the service having been before , we were . Introduced to our waitress and then we never saw her again and on several occasions we had to ask someone to help us , which was a little bit disappointing. The food was amazing but this overall experience wasn’t what Ive have had In the past .
Great service, food and place. Will be going again!
Rhubarb gin was very good but not enough gin>.>................................__Better than Lon
All round good experience but food wasn’t very hot!
Lovely atmosphere and attention to detail.
Food and Service were lovely.
The food was amazing and service was good. Had a nice time overall. However, I did not realise there would be a DJ in the restaurant. It made it extremely difficult to have a conversation. It was more like having dinner in a club. I love the ivy, but I really don’t think that the DJ music was appropriate, nor did it add anything and just took away from the ambience. I would definitely go back, but at a time when there wasn’t unpleasant, blaring music. It ruined the evening
Was alovely place but very cramped tables where very close together was scared to talk incase the couple next to us could hear us. It was nice to say iv been but wouldn't rush to head back.
Make sure you have a good battery strength on your phone as you will need it to use the torch app as it is impossible to read the menu given the point size of the text and the darkness of the table. Food though was excellent and the service very good.
Fabulous!! Great family birthday meal. Everybody happy. Girls that served us initially were amazing. Definitely recommend
A lovely experience! We were out celebrating a friends birthday and were made to feel welcome upon our arrival. Our Waiter Aaron was very friendly and met all our needs and we were very demanding! Thank you Aaron. The food was excellent and all the dishes were explained to us and recommendations were made to help us make our decisions. Our wine glass was always topped up - the sign of an experienced waiter!
The restaurant had a great atmosphere and a mixture of clients - families/couples/groups.
We certainly felt that we got value for our money and we will all be making return visits.
Fabulous afternoon at The Ivy, great value on the daytime set price, wonderful waiting on staff, so many of them too which meant they could be attentive and efficient. Very busy inside, thought it was a great buzzing atmosphere,
Fantastic service, ensure you leave cash on the table so that the actual staff are supported (waiting/chef) are recognised.
I have visited the bars in the Ivy for cocktails previously and have had brunch in the brassiere but this is the first time we have visited for lunch.
The food was delicious. I had the blackened cod which was a great dish.
What a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Service was first class and a lovely atmosphere.
Looking forward to our next visit!
Lovely 3 course meal, definitely recommend the blackened cod.
It was a pleasant experience. Our waiter was efficient and attentive without being a nuisance. We thought the food choices on the set lunch menu was a little restrictive. Would hope that it is changed regularly.
The decoration and fittings of all the dining rooms were excellent.
Visited here as a couple for brunch. Very quiet. Service was excellent. Very engaging staff. Nice food. Lovely coffee.
Everything about this restaurant is simply fabulous and is my favourite venue in Manchester when I visit. The customer service was super on Thursday and I can not fault this place. Highly highly recommend the chocolate Bomb desert as well as the Blackened cod it’s delicious.
It’s very vibrant atmosphere and lovely setting of room design . Food varied reviews as we all had different dishes some good some not so tasty. Bit disappointing as was 60th birthday and this was noted prior to going but thus not acknowledged as is usual in restaurants . If it’s atmosphere and don’t mind noisy and dark then this is the place . I have a food allergy and they were very thorough
really good food just incredibly overpriced for what it is, and having to buy sides and sauces separate from the main meal is a bit extortionate. drinks were nice but had different service charges added to the drink depending on which bar staff served you? £30 for two gins including service charge is ridiculous!!
Fabulous waitress, nice place to be, service charge at the bar is a bit steep though.
Lovely food, great service.. everytime I have been its been excellent
Enjoyed a lovely meal at The Ivy. Would definitely revisit.
Not sure why when booking you are asked 'Is it a celebration?' as replying yes to this didn't have any effect on the booking whatsoever.
We were going to the theatre and a staff member at the hotel we were staying at said he could recommend some restaurants in Manchester.
Of the six or seven he suggested, we choose this one and we couldn't have picked a better restaurant. It was so close to the theatre (Opera House) and they had taken note of my comments, that one of our party had mobility issues and an allergy. They seated us very near the entrance, which was ideal and they checked with the chef, re the allergy.
We chose three courses from the A La Carte Menu and every morsel of each dish was delicious. We both ate differently for each course and both thought the same about the food.
We were served by Ellie and then by Gary. Both were great. If I was being picky, I would say it would have been an idea that Ellie told us she was going off duty and Gary would be serving us.
We will no doubt eat here again, If we come to Manchester, and no doubt we will, we will eat here again. We will also try other branches of The Ivy around the country, on the strength of this visit.
This is one of the best meals we have ever had, if not the best.
Wonderful meal and atmosphere the 3rd time we have all been and will return again
Amazing food and decor - as we would expect from an Ivy. BUT the person who showed us to our table was very rude and unsmiling, behaving as if she was doing us a favour - not what we would expect from an Ivy. She could do with spending some time with the A team in Covent Garden to find out what professional service means. This would not stop me going again as long as it is a one off as it really marred our experience.
My second visit in two weeks , a great place to meet up with special friends for a lovely meal . The place is well run with great attentive staff , flamboyant in decor and upmarket for a real treat , lived it
Great food, ambience and service Manchester is always the best Ivy
Funky fun restaurant, service exceptional went for a seventieth birthday celebration. Did not disappoint.
Great service, good food and fabulous decor! Everywhere was clean and the lighting was perfect. Will definitely be going back.
Stunning restaurant. The best Ivy Brasserie that I’ve been to. Service was impeccable and food delicious.
The Ivy really has the Wow factor good range of food which is cooked well with very good presentation and service. We will definitely eat here again. My only reservation is it is difficult to get a clear response when you ask if ALL the “optional” service charge goes to the staff. When I am unsure in a restaurant I always leave cash.
Waiter was Aaron and he was outstanding. The atmosphere was lovely and they he couldn't do more for you.
Went to the brasserie for an anniversary lunch with my husband and was really impressed with the ambience, the food and the fantastic waiter service. I thought it would be too pretentious for my liking, it was a little bit, but I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. The waiter made us feel very welcome. The food is comparatively priced to many other restaurants in Manchester but the drinks are expensive and that's why I have deducted a star. It's a busy restaurant but we never waited long for food and the waiter regularly checked on us for drinks and to make sure everything was ok. He even brought us a complimentary anniversary cake with a candle in it. A lovely touch. I would definitely go back and would highly recommend. Well done Ivy!
The staff who served us were superb. A credit to you. Also as a coeliac I was well advised and the kitchen prepared me delicious food. The staff made a point of saying “your gluten free...“ before giving me the plate, which reassured me that everyone knows. Thank you. I am a regular visitor now and will be back again soon.
Liked it so much we booked for 13th March for our daughter’s birthday
most amazing restaurant ever!!! first time at the ivy and we were sat on the best table. all the staff
were fantastic and so polite and respectful. booking again for this weekend. couldn’t recommend anymore!
excellent meal ended with a little extra from the kitchen as it was a friends birthday...a lovely touch
