The Ivy Buchanan Street Glasgow
The Ivy Buchanan Street offers residents, businesses and shoppers a relaxed yet sophisticated dining experience.
Lovely setting, delicious food and great service.
Visited for my grans 89th birthday breakfast. She had a ball. All the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much bother. Even though she was running 30mins late they never hassled or hurried us. She felt like the Queen she is. Thanks!
Excellent Friday night out in Glasgow. Great atmosphere and fab food. Definitely on the expensive side so wouldn’t be an every week event but worth it for an occasional treat. Have had breakfast here before and that was also excellent.
Very warm welcome at The Ivy. Beautiful decor and excellent service. The food was a little delayed but we really didn’t notice... only when the waitress apologised for our wait.
The pre theatre is excellent value and the wine list offers a wide choice to suit most budgets. Really nice ambience and the staff were very tentative without being intrusive. I would highly recommend and will be back!
The most amazing Blackened Cod ... highly recommended x
Not happy to have 12% service added to bill when only 2 people dinning. This should not be taken as standard. It should be down to the patrons to decide if they wish to leave a tip.
Fantasy dining experience again!
Fantastic service. Amazing food and cocktails. A real treat!
We had afternoon tea which was well presented . Good sized pot of tea each. The 'trifle and chocolate soil in a cute terracotta pot were delicious. Had to wait 15 minutes to be seated but will definitely return
Great experience with superb food and service. Lovely place and would definitely recommend The Ivy.
Staff are delightful and very professional without being intrusive. Quality of food is good but some starters are very small. Price of mixers is very expensive. Very enjoyable lunch experience.
Too many rules. Can’t request a particular table, Table back by certain time, 15 minutes to get there past booked time slot etc.
12.5% service charge very steep!
Lovely place beautifully decorated. Staff were so nice and the food was delicious and presented beautifully. Food price was reasonable for such a lovely place. Drinks a bit pricey but it is the centre of town and they were very nice.
Will definitely return!
Second visit really enjoyed lunch. Great selection on the menu. Good house wine. Just what Glasgow needed. So central. Great atmosphere. Attentive service Booked to go again.
Booked online, very easy process . We had a two course set lunch at £16.95. The food was perfect very tasty and good portion size . The service in The Ivy is excellent from all members of staff, friendly and very professionally . I will definitely be back.
As a couple we had a very nice experience at the Ivy for my wife's birthday lunch. Food and wine excellent. We had a very nice table on the ground floor away from the door. Service very attentive. Having read previous reviews asked for service charge to be removed and left our own tip. No problems with request. Would return
again. Decor very nice throughout.
Lovely meal in the Ivy. Super food, great service and lovely ambience
Perfect amazing decor great service very good food except from burger
A very enjoyable meal to complement a business meeting. Staff were top drawer and full marks to the barman who looked after our Gin requirements wonderfully. Whilst I appreciate the venue may be more expensive than a lot of others in Glasgow, it is still worth the money for the ambiance and quality staff.
The restaurant was very tastefully decorated to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The waiting staff were very attentive and altogether it was a very enjoyable dining experience.
We were excited to try The Ivy on our Valentines weekend. Overall, experience was good, but we would not come back. Simply because food was just average, nothing outstanding for the price we were paying. Service though was on point!
Tables are a bit too close food could be warmer we asked for starter after we ordered meal & asked for main meal too be put on hold it all came together staff are very attentive & pleasant
Very tasty food and pleasant atmosphere. Overall very good, other than was charged slightly more than the menu stated on one item.
I would recommend it to a friend for the food but some of their prices are way over the top. £3.95 for a coffee and £9.75 for a glass of white wine
Lovely location, very welcoming, service excellent, food superb, decor lovely, music level a bit loud with DJ music but this stopped half way through our meal - highly recommended 😊
maybe the DJ is too loud for early evening dinner....Interesting that he stopped and then left circa 7pm????
First time in rehearsals Ivy, really liked the dining areas, plenty space. Food was excellent and the service was good also.
Would go back and recommend it.
Everything was excellent. Only negative, amongst many positives, was that we were served Apple Juice which was clearly off and had started to ferment - and which my daughter started to drink. When sent it back, were told that they were then 'all out of Apple Juice' - we should have received an apology, but there was no admission that the restaurant was any way in the wrong, which I think was poor. Otherwise excellent food and great décor. Toilets lovely too.
The Ivy was amazing. My husband and I were given a voucher as a wedding present and I have to say, it was one of the best presents we received. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. I also have to give kudos to the barman who made me a salted caramel espresso martini. Sublime. In definitely coming back here.
The food was outstanding, the background chatter is pleasantly blocked by music played throughout the restaurant, while maintaining a noise level which makes conversation easy. Service is excellent, staff are great, couldn’t give a higher recommendation.
Had a fabulous meal with my family. Service was fantastic and the ambience just perfect. We are already planning our next visit. Thank you Ivy Buchanan St!!
Such a beautiful space, we were wowed from the moment we entered and the service, food and ambiance were fabulous too.
A lovely restaurant, staff were great and the food was lovely.
Staff excellent food excellent.
We were given a window seat our coats taken away and a number given to retrieve them.
Didn’t feel pressured to order our meal.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends
Great corner table, service very good, loved the decor and food
A wonderful experience. I would certainly go again without hesitation.
Valentines night, so tables had been crammed too close to enjoy a private dinner.
Food was really bad. I had rib eye steak and had to return it as it was just full of fat. My wife’s risotto was also really poor and dry.
Not best experience...seems the brand is being diluted the more sites they open.
First time in the Ivy and will definitely be back again soon. Great service from all the staff, very attentive from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. Our waiter made a good wine recommendation and was great throughout the meal even the small details such as we required a new straw for a drink one was brought over in a napkin,. Food was excellent probably one of the best meals I’ve had in a while and the restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere.
Quality of food was ok, although the steak came well done (and was tough) when it was ordered medium. The steaks are pricey and come alone, which means you need to spend even more money to have some accompaniments. Prawn cocktail looked fancy but was difficult to eat due to the nature of the bowl that it was served in. Service was average. Lighting was very poor, which made it EXTREMELY difficult to read the menu. The lighting was dim when we arrived and then turned down further. People at other tables were using their phone light as a torch in order to have sufficient illumination to read the menu. The Farmhouse Fruit Bowl Mocktail was the highlight by a considerable margin. Prices are wholly unreasonable and there is definitely better quality and value in many other eateries in Glasgow. I will be recommending friends and family choose another restaurant for dining out.
