The Ivy Buchanan Street Glasgow
The Ivy Buchanan Street offers residents, businesses and shoppers a relaxed yet sophisticated dining experience.
Excellent waitress and champagne chilled to perfection
ENJOYED THE VISIT WILL GO BACK
Had to leave as there was a fire alarm but the staff handled it well
This was my 4th visit lovely as usual service a+++ and food is lovely only thing the menu seems to be the same lunch menu since it opened think it’s about time for a change on the lunch menu
Very nice overall. Just a pity the lights dimmed during our meal so that reading the dessert menu was very difficult. Very nice restaurant though.
The Ivy looks great inside and out. The staff are smart and attentive. However the overall feel was staid, the food good but not great and it’s really difficult to read the menu. Small print and dim lighting. Used torch on phone to help! Sadly don’t think I will return as nothing to boast about. However everyone likes different things so give it a try. Great centre city location.
One of the best eating experiences We have ever had . From the greeting at arrival , the professionalism of the waiter to the outstanding food . Definitely a treat for the senses .
Food fab decor georgeous service outstanding and nice to see the finer touches with real napkins and lovely tableware will be back first class
This was the perfect place lunch for my aunt & I. It was her birthday and they made it special. The Ivy Glasgow takes you back in time with it’s vintage decor. The service was second to none with both our servers being attentive to our needs. All staff were impeccably dressed and extremely helpful. The food (I had salmon fish cake & my aunt had the chicken salad) was perfection on a plate. I would definitely return here for any sort of occasion.
Great night in the Ivy and the food was delicious. Service from start to finish couldn't have been better. Not much to fault except it was a bit dark - the tables round about, including myself all had their mobile phones out with the torches on to read the menu.
I have been to the ivy in Glasgow 5 times since first opened, After my last visit I will not be returning to the Glasgow branch.
I booked a reservation and the lady at the desk said nothing was booked under my name... I had phoned a few days before to request up stairs and it was on the system then that I was booked in that Saturday.
I understood that their could be a miscommunication so I then asked if there was any space later on, she was very rude from the start and said no nothing left we are full and at the same time my friend was on opentable looking at 2 available slots, we then left and booked it online as it was to short notice to go anywhere else, showed up at the slot half an hour later (even though she was rude and not helpful what so ever and said it was fully booked all night) she couldn’t even look the direction we were on... I think anyone visiting Glasgow’s branch might be put off as I go to Manchester and London and it’s a totally different experience
Our table was upstairs. I thought it was more for having a drink rather than eating. The table was very small for 4 people and I had the noise of a saxophone right beside me. I much prefer the tables downstairs for dinner. The service was a bit slow and had to ask for our wine to be refreshed. The food overall was very nice although the pastry on my apple tart was a bit soggy.
We had a very enjoyable evening with you . We ordered the fish and Chips and I ha e to say they were excellent. Lovely place and o relax and dine . Our waiter Chloe was so lovely , please say a big thank you to her . Will definitely be back
We did enjoy our meal but it was noisy and couldn't always hear our conversation at the table. Also lighting was exceptionally low
Food was lovley however I feel it is very rushed and they just want you in and out.
Food was amazing and the staff were very attentive and friendly m.
Everything spot on. Our new go to restaurant in Glasgow city centre
Upstairs they had a DJ on who was good. Nice amenities and ambience.
I have now eaten at the Ivy in Glasgow a number of times, nut this is probably the first time I have eaten when it has been absolutely full.
Service was still good, problem with one dish which they readily agreed wasn't up to standard and deducted from my bill but otherwise food was good.
A lot noisier this time but that has to be expected in such a busy restaurant.
Will definitely go back,
Too expensive! And not too happy about service charge being included. Service was good, but would have preferred to choose my own amount.
I ate at the Ivy two Saturdays running and can only say how wonderful the food was and also how wonderful the staff were. We had a wee issue with Hors d'oeuvres but the Waiting staff and Manager made the whole experience very very good and could not have been nicer or more honest. Manager was amazing.
Very welcoming and helpful Been to many of the Ivy's in Brighton and London and I think this is the best
Great ambiance coupled with great food and outstanding service. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
Lovely food and staff are great. Not sure about the DJ though
Loved it! Great food, great staff, lovely ambiance and cool bathrooms!
Perfect! couldn’t fault anything...very pleasant afternoon
Wonderful evening with friends celebrating their birthday. Waitress was lovely , will certainly recommend to friends.
Food excellent service excellent choice of beer not to good could have more options
First visit to The Ivy Glasgow and was not disappointed. The design and decor is stunning. Service is exceptional from arrival to departure. Food choice, presentation and quality is first class.
A fabulous experience, will definitely visit again.
Lovely restaurant for a special occasion. I liked the good service with the use of silver teapots and linen tablecloths and napkins. I will certainly be back.
Amazing experience and exceptional food. Staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back.
Enjoyed the experience Food and service excellent the only negative was the over priced wine
Genuinely hard to find negatives. Cracking food, amazing service and a genuine treat. We casually mentioned that the meal had been a great birthday treat and within seconds we had a "birthday" desert on the table – a simple but special touch.
If I am to suggest a potential 'area for improvement' - The Ivy like any business want to maximise their opportunity, but for a special dinner with my wife, I would have been a little bit happier if the tables immediately to our left & right had been a little further away....in my opinion it would enhance the dining experience if you were not so close to others, and afraid to share an intimate conversation and often trying not to over-hear someone else’s
First time after reading a newspaper review . Good food , prompt friendly service , relaxing .
Absolutely amazed ❤️❤️Everything was perfect for my husbands bday ! Thank you to staff they were amazing !
Wonderful evening, great service and delicious food.
Another incredible meal at The Ivy, have ate here many times now and always have an amazing experience best place in Glasgow to eat, food is perfect & so is the staff, I have already booked for my dads birthday on Sunday looking forward to it !
Had s lovely lunch. Service was great and food choice was superb
Thank you for the surprise birthday desert, really made my brothers day
Exceptional friendly service in a most relaxed atmosphere. The menu is varied and suits all tastes.
I went with 2 friends for a late lunch at 4pm. We went with no significant expectations but left hugely impressed by our experience. The ambience and decor were fabulous ...it was a very relaxed atmosphere conducive to great chat and experience. We would have to highlight the service we got from our 2 waiting staff from Ireland and Lithuania . They were outstanding... friendly, funny , helpful with suggestions on the menu and they made our time there a great one. We were all so very impressed by the quality of the food ..the prawn cocktail my friend chose was the best we had each ever experienced and the whisky steak tartare was brilliant. All washed down with blood orange margheritas and finished off with the chocolate bombe. We are not resident in Glasgow but will be back soon. A memorable afternoon ... thank you for the experience !
Unfortunately after been looking forward to it was sadly disappointed, liked the decor and staff but even coffee was luke warm and even lunch wasn’t hot.. Shame.
