Far too many menus to choose from and it was rather confusing. The staff did eventually point out the options and the food was as always very good. I think the portion size has reduced in particular the staters Overall pretty good but not outstanding

On entry had to wait in a queue at the reception desk whilst people are leaving and entering which is not welcoming and quite disruptive. Main meals were served minutes apart resulting in some people commencing their meal whilst others were still awaiting their meals to be brought to the table.

Had an issue with the battered fish and chips (More batter than actual fish). Sent it back twice and had to take another dish... HOWEVER... The service level from Max and Lucas was excellent, very professional in their manners and everything else was spot on for my Wife's birthday lunch. The ambience was beautiful and inviting, so apart from the fish, great time had by all :)

Ivy expected smart casuals but there were lot of customers in track pants and casual attire. We arrived in time but still were asked to wait for 15mins for our table. Food and service was good.

We turned up for our 6.30pm reservation, on arrival we could barely even get in the door as the queue at the reception was so busy and chaotic, we then proceeded to stand in the queue for 15 minutes with no explanation as to what was going on. Eventually I approached the staff and was told there was an issue with staffing and getting tables back, had we been told this we had arrived we would have grabbed a seat at the bar and had a drink until our table was ready, there was absolutely no communication whatsoever. We did then take a seat at the bar and ordered a bottle of Champagne which we had to as for an ice bucket for. We eventually got seated around 7pm, and from there on in our night was redeeemed by the lovely female serving us. We always return to the Ivy for the fantastic service from start to finish but I have to say this has left a bad taste in our mouths!

Had to queue at the door for over 25 minutes before we were even acknowledged…once we were taken to our table upstairs there was plenty of room at the bar where we could have waited with a drink. The food was average…requested a side salad only to be presented with a plate of Wilted rocket & iceberg lettuce.

The restaurant was hugely overbooked - there were at least 30 people standing in the entrance waiting for their table which they have pre booked (including us). Terrible waiting times, awful atmosphere due to lots of unhappy customers. So unfortunate as the staff were very stressed, it is not fair on them.

So disappointed in The Ivy this year as there were almost no Christmas decorations this year! A giant polar bear outside and a tree inside and that was it! One of the reason we go every year at this time is for the Christmas decor. We booked months ago and when we arrived we had to wait almost half an hour for our table. Food was good , sourdough bread starter was amazing. Brussel sprouts were cold and had no taste however we were refunded for this. The restaurant was packed and staff busy and looked hassled. Staff were delightful though and we were well looked after once we were seated and didn’t have to wait too long for our food. Overall it was a bit of a disappointment compared to other times we have visited as its a place that we love to go to for special occasions.

As a frequent visitor it was disappointing for the 1st time we were put into the corner table on the left of the main entrance which effectively isolates you from the general pleasantness of the restaurant where in this space you get to view the queue of people waiting to be seated alongside their mumbling and grumbling about having to wait so long. I would not recommend this part of The Ivy.

As a regular diner to The Ivy restaurants mainly down South we were eager to try the Glasgow one. Lovely building and of course it’s in the typical Ivy livery making it just so! All lovely just will never understand why you still serve a portion of Olives 🫒 to a table of 4 with only 2 sticks???? 🤦🏻‍♂️

I’ve been twice to the Ivy in Glasgow and both times for lunch snd it was lovely but Saturday was very disappointing. We were given a table at the door which was opened every two minutes and was freezing. The food took a while to arrive and 3 of us got our mains at one time, the other got his side dish of mash and we had to wait 7 minutes for his main by that time we had to start eating and he had cold mash . My sprouts you couldn’t even eat as they were hard, I returned them and by the time my beans arrived my meal was finished , my husbands fish batter was soggy so he scraped that off. Considering the bill was over £340 for 4 of us it was very poor.

Lovely visit to the ivy, table next to us were excessively noisy and rude to the waiting staff which was horrible to see. Could not fault the service and the food and drink was lovely.

Fantastic experience! Staff were great. My only complaint would be that the food could have been warmer. The plate wasn't hot so that's probably why but the good was excellent. Going back in 2 weeks!

One of our food orders wasn’t quite up to scratch but a manager offered me a free drink at the bar then took off the service charge. The service was excellent but for me the noise level at the bar with the DJ upstairs was way too high and not conducive to any type of conversation unless one shouted. On the way out the entrance was crammed with people queuing so I feel that should be better managed. I appreciate it was cold outside but by letting people cram in without actually having them queue to one side wasn’t a good look for those of us trying to leave.

The service was ok, arrival and seating process was shockingly disorganised. The food was cold, every table near us sent food back for one reason or another. Even our fresh breakfast was lukewarm. So disappointing, we won’t be back.

Regular visitor, unfortunately this visit was disappointing, vegetarian breakfast was a big let down, usual standard was not there, had to ask for parts of the breakfast that were not on plate, avocado straight from fridge on a hot plate, toast was barley toasted at all

I've been too the ivy on more than one occasion and appreciate that it's difficult trying to satisfy everyone, normally I'm more than happy with everything. This time the only thing that wasn't upto standard was the food, it was look warm on a not so hot plate and because of the weather the restaurant. Would have been difficult to heat , hence the food cooled down more quickly.
