The Ivy Buchanan Street Glasgow
The Ivy Buchanan Street offers residents, businesses and shoppers a relaxed yet sophisticated dining experience.
Amazing grilled chicken salad, yummy cocktails, pretty restaurant and lovely waitress from Lithuania :)
Great staff, terrible steaks, condescending management....
Still pondering how a grilled steak can be cooked through but not even singed on the outside!
Still producing “Bristol Stool Chart Type 7” two days later!
A great experience for a special occasion, very polite staff, well presented food and a good wine list. The little cake we received as an engagement treat was a nice touch.
Food and drinks superb, beautiful surroundings, helpful staff - everything perfect
A wonderful experience from start to finish with an attentive and thoughtful waiter. Food was delicious as well and atmosphere jovial and light hearted.
Stunning little venue with the best cocktails even make ones that aren’t on the menu
Where do I was start, can't honestly believe that both Glasgow and Edinburgh are the same restaurants. They are miles apart and I'm not just talking about the geographical distance between the two cities. Edinburgh by far is worthy of the brand name however Glasgow has a lot of catching up to do. Our table was booked for 16.00hrs, arriving at 15.55 we were asked to wait outside along with three other families as our table wasn't yet ready. I'm thankful that it wasn't raining, however there was space closed off where tables and chairs had been places yet we weren't asked to have seat with someone taking our drinks order . Our wait outside was 15mins. We were then asked inside only to stand yet another 10 mins in the doorway with the onsite teams and other dinners passing continuously , no COVID 19 rules were applied. My chosen dinner option was the tempura salt and pepper Prawns with Quid . There was no crisp crunch to the tempura batter (undercooked) however my main which was blackened cod which was well cooked followed by the chocolate bomb . Having finished our coffees I requested the bill and I queried the service charge of 12.5%. To impose this charge neither the food or service was worthy of this amount of money. Our table server said it was optional when I asked for it to be removed, our server attitude changed. There warmth had gone as did their interaction with our table no thank you or goodbye even after we left our own gratuity . A very disappointing experience
Lovely meal today at the Ivy. Had the Steak and the chocolate bomb for dessert was amazing
A fantastic lunch, service was excellent especially in these circumstances. Highly recommended.
Nice place but far too expensive for food and drink
What a treat...special...😁
Ambience and decor just gorgeous
The ivy is absolutely beautiful. The food and the service was exceptional. Cannot wait to return! Best brunch in Glasgow
Second visit to Glasgow. Regularly dine at the Edinburgh Ivy. We've not had a bad experience yet. It's always fantastic. Service & food great 👍
Fantastic can’t wait to go back
COVID 19 restrictions were clearly being breached without challenge and an hour and a half is rushed for dinner
Food really good our guests enjoyed themselves
Social distancing measures excellent
Overall excellent experience. The only thing was the service charge. I would have given this and maybe even more however one to be just added was not what I expected.
Had a Fabulous Lunch for four ,everything was just PERFECT
Beautiful place, fantastic service and very tasty food. It is a bit pricey and not full after 2 courses but full after a delicious dessert. Duck starter was amazing, shepherd’s pie fab and apple tart great.
Just a beautiful experience all round. Food is utterly delicious and the staff couldn’t be more friendly and can’t do enough for you. Surroundings are beautiful (even the loos) ! We love it here !
Good food and service from Ewan was excellent. Very good Covid protocols
Cannot recommend The Ivy enough, the staff absolutely make this place. Great experience, lovely food and a safe environment. Can’t wait to go back.
Absolutely beautiful setting, I couldn’t stop staring round! The only thing that let it down for me was that I had to ask for a steak knife to cut my toasted muffin in my eggs benedict - it was a little too toasted. Other than that, can’t fault it at all, the service was excellent, regulations adhered to, and the cocktails were delicious!
Beautiful place . Staff are lovely. I had the fish and chips it was so good . Cocktails were oh so nice . Hopefully get back soon . Fully recommend.
Very friendly and chatty staff. Food beautifully presented and delicious. Will most definitely be back!
Great food and service - very attentive and friendly staff.
Amazing place! The service was excellent! I would like to go back again soon!! Totally recommend the place for special occasions!!
Food was delicious. And the Bloody Mary’s were great :)
Excellent. Good food. Good service and social distancing measures appropriate
Good as always nice staff just missing some atmosphere due to restrictions on music etc
We had a nice meal excellent service during this horrendous time for us all the staff were very friendly and very attentive safety standards are well monitored we will be back
Our first time at the ivy but defo won’t be the last. Everything perfect from the decor to the food and the staff. They even acknowledge my husbands birthday which was a very nice touch.
Food was lovely as was the staff a lovely lunch not much atmosphere
Great service, only had drinks but they were great too.
Enjoyed the experience but if you stray from the special menu then the cost is expensive. When my bill arrived it had add ins that really weren’t expected - so as I say a bit over the top prices for sides etc.
Despite having made a reservation a week in advance was shown to a table right next to waiters service area, we were moved upstairs without any trouble but it still wasn’t a great table location. Food was average at best, service was OK, but overall experience was overpriced chain restaurant food. I wouldn’t recommend.
Food was fabulous, would definitely recommend to friends
Great food - everything g so tasty and worth every penny!
Waitress was amazing, so lovely & down to earth!
My daughter and I had lunch the cod dish and my monkfish curry was the best We have ever tasted.
Good to enjoy a meal and feel normal in the present climate.
Fantastic food and service. Our waiter was exceptional.
