The Ivy Buchanan Street Glasgow
The Ivy Buchanan Street offers residents, businesses and shoppers a relaxed yet sophisticated dining experience.
Always gave 5☆ however this time was filthy! Service hopeless, cold poached eggs, assuming everyone drinks same things ..not asking toilets disgusting!
Lovely staff and amazing food. Great selection. Fantastic surroundings.
Wonderful food, tasty cocktails, beautiful surroundings and attentive staff - all you need for a fabulous night out. I especially recommend the chocolate bomb dessert.
We had a poor experience on our first visit . the starter took over 50 mins to be served the restaurant was not full . The main course when served was cold and we had to send it back not very good. I have booked again to take more customers 12th Dec very concerned. Also when checking bill the next day sevice charge on the 2 bottles of wine is ridiculous. Regards Billy Thomas
Really enjoyed our dining here however far too over priced for what you get. Would return but not on a regular basis as so expensive
Birthday treat for my fiancé and we both really enjoyed the food, service and ambience. Definitely going back.
I was very disappointed with my starter was very poor quality and tasteless
taking clients to the ivy on Tuesday, was an exciting prospect HOWEVER shall not be back. service sadly lacked promptness , enthusiasm from entering to ordering. The food was cold and uninteresting 3 people for lunch £194.00 no alcohol, which is fine if all else had been up to the mark.
very disappointed customer who client entertains 3 days per week ---------------- missed opportunity chaps.
Really enjoyed the meal and the surroundings. Great atmosphere! Our table was well situated for us to chat. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Fantastic place, the ambiance, the smells the service. All amazing. Will defiantly be going back.
Superb decor and atmoshere. Was expecting slightly better service and food was good but not outstanding. It is not a patch on the Ivy Edinburgh
Good food. Great service.
I requested a window seat on my pre booked table only to be sat in a corner table next to toilets. Not a good star, Although there is good spacing between tables. We Opted for set menu. Lovely choice and husband's lamb was cooked as he requested. Service was excellent. However at around 5pm there seemed to be a change of staff and We did feel somewhat abandoned. My husband eventually had to go search for someone to give me the cocktail menu. Our bill was incorrect, being charged for 4 set meals instead of 2. Bill was quickly fixed. All in all I enjoyed my first experience at the Ivy. Not sure my husband agreed he felt it was excessively overpriced. I would love to go back again and perhaps get my window seat.
Beautiful venue, wonderful staff and delicious food (and very reasonable for the set menu!). I could not fault the Ivy Buchanan Street and would absolutely visit again.
Very very good. Service good. Atmosphere could be improved / layout of downstairs tables. Otherwise can’t fault.
Can’t fault the Ivy on anything, well attended to, food was amazing and the ambiance was perfect. Will definitely recommend to others and will certainly return
Food was average and was very overpriced for the quality of food served. Service charge is added automatically to bill but service wasn’t great. Wine is kept to the side by staff and we had to wait quite a while for our wine glasses to be filled as staff weren’t overly attentive. A disappointing experience.
Lovely overall experience. The day time special mine could be more extensive. The choice is very limited. Ended up with Risotto which was really tasty but the portion was very small
New restaurant which everyone is dying to try. Food good, staff nice - decor you have to experience. Probably would return just for the experience of people watching at the lovely bar
Only downside was the toast being a bit cool but all the other food was lovely. When we asked for the bill it did take over 10mins to get it and another 10 to get card machine brought...wouldn’t have been an issue but we had finished food and drink donut felt like wasted time
The table wasn’t ready so we had to stand the door with people coming in and out. We were taken upstairs and sat at the bar. We were given the option to either stay upstairs and go back down the stairs we stayed upstairs. It was slightly chaotic lots of staff and terrible DJ but people not doing much at all. We ordered cocktails and they eventually arrived and we eventually ordered food, some of the menu was available we ordered wine and the server poured the wine before food arrives. The food for the price wasn’t good enough, unfortunately you come there for the name and are completely disappointed because there is so many things wrong with it
We had an absolutely fantastic time on Saturday. The atmosphere was fantastic. Service was amazing and the food was to die for. The waiter was very attentive and even brought out a little cake for my birthday which was a lovely touch. I will definitely be back and be recommending to friends ❤️
Seated right next to DJ on upper floor, not quite the ambience I was expecting. Two floors very different vibes! Food fabulous.
Would recommend only because of beautiful venue and excellent staff. Food only just average at best and also food could have been warmer. Underwhelmed!! Cocktail bar upstairs very comfortable and and staff again lovely.
Doing some Christmas shopping 1st December and in for a bite to eat, food was fabulous. Staff always attentive and very pleasant. DJs really good also, great music. Also appreciated when the swap over DJ said if the music was too loud he would turn it down as we were sat next to him, it wasn’t at all. Looking forward to our return. ❤️The Ivy
1.30 lunch , 3 ladies ; order taken, waitress returned to inform us that there were no scallops - reordered , waitress returned again to inform us that our second choice wasn’t available , third chive was available and decidedly average , and major compromise . Two fillets and ribeye steaks ordered for mains - ribeye stone cold and waitress informed almost immediately - she offered to get it heated for me which o find unacceptable as I have it medium rare , and I didn’t want to be the only one not eating . When bill came they had taken the £31 ribeye off the bill. We were all looking forward to Sunday’s lunch so much and were bitterly disappointed . The ambiance and surroundings are beautiful but the food is woefully lacking .
Very good service and food. Our waiter was .Jamal and he was brilliant. Very low lighting
Sometimes if have the idea the staff is not doing there best to help you if you are with big groups. For example i made a reservation for 4 people came with 6 people and the were saying there was not place for 6 people. Two of my friends went to on another place after that were told. The strange thing is that this evening there were two tabels free were we could sit with 6 people. Nevertheless this was not so good. The rest was perfect food is so good i will come back asap!
Very noisy with loud chart music .. service was panicked and full of style over content . Its great that the head waiters were high fashion but if they only cared a bit more and were more attentive to customers waiting to be served / have the bill etc . It feels like the who team needs to go to the Woolsey or Delaunay in London and see how it should be done .
Food absolutely but have a few drinks before you go as very expensive. Also, no standing allowed at the bar even if you have a table booked and want a drink beforehand. Our friends arrived before us and they got two seats at the bar luckily but were told initially they would have to go away and come back later!
Had a lovely evening after a days shopping with my friends from Dundee looking forward to our next visit thank you
Very disappointed in the food, out of 5 main courses only 1 enjoyed their meal, the crispy skin on my chicken was burned, the butternut squash and chicken Milanese were tasteless and we ordered bramble cocktails and were served rhubarb gin and was told by the head bar staff that they were brambles. Overall the ivy Glasgow surroundings are lovely but food falls way short and not worth the money.
Penny the waitress was five stars Damien at reception fantastic welcomed you to the ivy and made you relax
The only disappointment we had was the menu did not match the menu online and the service charge was automatically charged to the bill
Great venue second visit service excellent little disappointed with food this time had to send back warm chips but quickly replaced would still recommend
Although disappointed in my seat position initially, and only because I couldn’t see around me ( think it was table 47) I was impressed with the decor and the service. Our meal was delicious and I’d like to go back to try Afternoon Tea!
Fantastic venue with outstanding food and levels of service.
This restaurant is up to the same high standards as any Ivey I've visited in London.
Not to be missed!!
From ordering took food 35 mins to reach our table
What a gorgeous setting, attentive staff and delicious food.
Excellent ambience. Good food and wine and professional service.
