The Ivy Cafe Blackheath
I'd expected food to be better, pancakes were very disappointing. Service was good, music was a bit loud. Not too keen on visiting again.
Waiter was great and made sure we had a great time.
Floor manager even came over and had a chat, these are the things that make an experience worth while.
Food was excellent and the environment very pleasant... service was efficient but lacked personality and we felt rushed towards the end of our meal.
Wonderful service and food as always!
Really attentive staff and friendly service - thank you!
The restaurant is covid aware and tables are well spaced. Ambience is great, staff are superb and the food amazing. Overall having been to the Ivy a few times I am always impressed with it as a whole and will definitely be going back.
Lovely decor, the safety precautions was well taken care. Whilst the food was good but not upto my expectations. The desserts were amazing. Needs some improvement. Overall satisfactory. 👍
Great food and brilliant waiters
Amazing will definitely return, food was incredible. Service was on point
Useless place, no reason to go I’m afraid, does not make any sense.
This was a belated Birthday celebration with my partner. We were attended to exceptionally well and the food was excellent. I had been to The Ivy on my actual Birthday with friends but this was my partner’s first visit. He was suitably impressed so I’m hoping a return visit is on the cards very soon.
utterly delicious food as usual and excellent service from Fame and colleagues. thank you.
Birthday treat for adult daughter. Surprisingly busy for a Monday lunchtime. Great atmosphere. Outstanding service. It felt “special “
A lovely lunchtime meal. Great service. Friendly staff couldn’t ask for more
Went with a friend for lunch and they do a brilliant 3 course set menu for £18.50. The staff are amazing, friendly, helpful and professional. We loved the food we chose, it was all beautifully presented and delicious! One tiny point though, as one of the three choices for dessert was unavailable, I think there should've been a replacement. But apart from that, the whole experience was perfect!
Booked lunch for our wedding anniversary, which was fantastic. The service and ambience were excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Had a fabulous time at the Ivy Blackheath on Sunday 13th September. Marvellous attention from the Manager who helped with seating and Menu choice. Other waiting Staff equally as charming. Food was excellent, Zucchini Frites/ Sirloin Steaks/ Truffle and Parmesan Chips/ Green Beans with almonds all delicious! Finished with Apple Tarte Tartin and Crem Brûlée/ Coffee Nice bottle of House Rose also. Can’t wait to return and would recommend. Thank you to all the Staff for a great experience.
Fantastic food, excellent service, lovely setting, I highly recommend this lovely restaurant. The Covid precautions were stringent but done very professionally, swiftly and made us feel safe. We had a really nice time.
Friendly and fast service , good food and not as crammed as last time . Good social distancing measures in place .
A great restaurant choice when celebrating an occasion. Staff were attentive and friendly. The food was excellent and the general ambience was relaxed and happy.
Always a pleasure - the Blackheath team always make us feel welcome and look after us!
It was my first time at the Ivy since the lockdown. I felt very safe and well cared for. A bit pricey but worth pushing the boat out now and again. A treat!
Around our breakfast table we had mixed reviews. The full English was "best ever" especially the black pudding. The vegetarian option though I'm afraid was not good and left me feeling uncomfortable all day. Too much sloppy food, flavours didn't work well together and just not enjoyable to eat or digest. And I'm not even a vegetarian! I made a bad choice, so would go back and would recommend. Just don't have the vegetarian full English (other vegetarian options available!).
The food lacked flavour and was overall very bland and overpriced. The service was OK, the servers were nice but very slow. Perfect for pastries and coffee but anything else is just very underwhelming. Quite disappointed.
Always love this restaurant. The set menu is extremely good value for money. Food and service excellent, and in such beautiful surroundings.
We booked a table for 3pm, turned up at 2.55pm to be told it would be at least 5mins. We weren’t seated till 3.20pm. Several walk ins were seated before us, which we obviously weren’t pleased with. I understand the current covid situation makes things difficult but we thought we were doing the right thing by booking a table, getting customers to wait around for 20mins in my eyes isn’t acceptable when we booked a table and were forced to wait away from the restaurant in order to maintain social distancing which many customers didn’t seem to think important. There was also zero effort from your staff to encourage customers to social distance. As a frontline NHS worker I found this very upsetting.
To be honest, the menu as presented was not exciting but the dishes we chose were presented really well, subtle additions to bring out the taste and we will definitely be going back.
Beautiful place with wonderful staff and an amazing menu. The food was delicious. Can not wait to go back!
Covid all measures taken. Relaxed atmosphere nice ambience waiters friendly. Would recommend food well cooked and tasty.
A lovely birthday lunch - we had the set lunch menu and it was all delicious
We had a fabulous lunch with great service and beautiful food
Much needed after lock down
Always loved coming back to The Ivy. Had lunch with friends and they all enjoyed the cozy atmosphere.
Fantastic service. The food portions were fair and delicious. I cannot fault anything. We were even give a beautiful little dessert for our anniversary, which we were both touched by. We were asked occasionally if we were ok and needed anything. Hygiene and COVID situation taken very seriously by all staff and made us feel very safe, whilst being looked after. Would highly recommend
Lovely food, one of my favourite places in Blackheath
Very nice restaurant, great food and amazing ambience
It was our anniversary and we couldn’t have picked a lovelier restaurant.... thank you so much for looking after us and very much looking forward to visiting you again
My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Ivy. We had a really enjoyable experience. The Covid checks were done efficiently and well and did not feel intrusive. The staff were friendly and accommodating
The location of the Ivy Cafe is ideal in relation to where we live, walking distance so fantastic to burn off a few calories after your meal, unfortunately apart from the floor staff being absolutely fantastic and attentive and good at their jobs, that is where my positive review ends, the food quality was sub-standard in presentation and preparation, in no way did it justify the over inflated price, please do no misunderstand I would have been happy paying much more had the food been up to scratch, the chef must have been recruited from I do not know where, may be a fast food chain!!! the icing on the cake was an insect that crawled out of my daughters salad...
Excellent service. Very safe with a temperature 🤒 check system at the door as well as the usual anti bacterial gel.
Really nicely separated tables so feel very safe and can enjoy your food without worrying.
Food was exceptional as always and service really brilliant, warm and friendly and not stuffy at all.
Took my Mum for her birthday and it surpassed my expectations. I have a lot of allergies so have to be very careful. The staff were fabulous and I didn’t feel worried about what I was eating at all, and I didn’t have half the menu written off for me because of those allergies; they made them work - that really makes a change for me. Our food and the service were just fabulous.
