The Ivy Cafe Blackheath
We had booked for my wife Carols birthday on Friday 18th December but due to the lock down going into tier 3 it was cancel by you, so booked for the 16th Dec, the table that we booked was the last one at 21:15. It was a bit rushed but we enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere will book again when open.
It was as always a good experience. The staff who served us was very polite, approachable and accomodating. Food is really good and worth it. Ambience is fine as well just a bit too dim but all in all we enjoyed, like always!
Absolutely great in every respect
Lovely evening out! Great atmosphere, food and service
Nice food, atmosphere and service.
ben here several times and is consistently good
Restaurants was cold inside although blanket was offered. No heating was on. Rear door remained open for long time receiving goods.
The pancakes were stodgy with a small portion of fresh fruit. Not the least bit enjoyable.
Would not order that dish again.
Service was excellent
The food is lovely and the staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful
A really enjoyable visit as always! Amazing food, great atmosphere and god service, Look forward to returning again soon. Loved the Christmas decorations!
The chips were the only disappointing thing of the meal.
Decent breakfast though atmosphere was a bit 'hotel breakfast room' - overall the Ivy is more fun in the evening
Throughly enjoyable meal and evening. Looking forward to The Ivy reopening.
Excellent evening with great staff and excellent food
Perfect atmosphere, delicious food and outstanding service.
Can't wait to return.
Staff were friendly and helpful
Food was very good
Always enjoy our evening out there
Lovely food and atmosphere as usual! The manager was very nice and welcoming!
Superb as always!
I love the food here. Shame as now with COVID the sittings are quite time restricted for 2 people as you don’t really have time for more than 2 courses with a 90 min sitting. It was also obvious many people there were floating the regulations eg a table of 6 next to us who clearly don’t live in same household. But that’s not the restaurant’s fault, that’s just selfish idiots. They scan temperature and take things seriously otherwise
Always a lovely experience at the ivy my boyfriends and I couldn’t wait to go back ❤️
Great food good service and a wonderful atmosphere
As usual we had a fabulous time from start to finish. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and we couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you Ivy Blackheath and a Merry Christmas 🎄
A regular family eating place for us. Food and service consistently high quality. The thing which consistently lets the overall experience down is the noise! Background noise gets to uncomfortable levels, so much so that one cannot hold a conversation across even a small round table seating 4 people. For a brand like the Ivy, there are simple noise cancelling hardware accessories that can be applied to much improve the ambience. In a world of COVID, matters such as noise pollution are becoming important and with time it will become more obvious which establishment place as much value on ambience and hence noise pollution. Come Ivy Blackheath!, let’s see how you respond.
Amazing service, the staff did a brilliant job despite all the restrictions. We were made to feel extremely welcome and comfortable, staff were attentive and friendly and service was great. The food was absolutely delicious and they went above and beyond to wish me a Happy Birthday which was hugely appreciated. This was my first ever visit and it will not be my last!!
This was our first visit to the Ivy and we both loved it. The staff were attentive and polite without being overbearing and the food was delicious. It felt cosy and festive and cannot wait to go back again.
The service was awesome. The food was great and the portions were generous in facts I'll visit again.
Took partner for birthday meal. Was a nice touch they gave him a small cake with a candle although couldn’t sing happy birthday was a nice touch.
Food was very tasty & a good amount. Would definitely go back again.
Truly disappointed with the service on Friday evening - won’t be returning
The green beans were almost raw and impossible to cut, the fried potato’s only just warm, and the apple tart a disappointment (again, almost impossible to cut through).
But, it has good service and a warm atmosphere. I would go again but next time will complain if the food is not up to expectations.
Blackheath Ivy Cafe is my favourite restaurant in the chain. The service was impeccable, the food perfect and the celebration cake wonderful. Thank you .
Love the ivy. Always have a good time there. Food was good, service excellent. Place was buzzing. Lovely atmosphere. Great xmas cocktails. What's not to like.
Impeccable service- always feels a treat:)
Very below average full english. Would not have again
Not the best lobster pasta sadly xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx.
Always a great experience
Value for money and great staff
Lovely food, service was excellent and ambiance was great, would highly recommend
The staff members were lovely really attentive and friendly.
The downfall was the food, I’ve been bragging to my BF for months on how lovely the Shepard’s pie was and he finally gave in to try. I have been to the kings cross branch that is always on point and nice to visit. The pie was full of big chewy chunks of mince and crunchy carrots which was displeasing. We also ordered the truffle and Parmesan chips that were not fresh. The only thing we enjoyed was the fried zucchini which says it all! It’s a massive shame as it was a special occasion and we really wanted to enjoy this evening.
After a number of months, it was a real treat to visit The Ivy.
We were looked after very well and the food was delicious. The restaurant was decorated beautifully for the Christmas season.
Restaurant is beautiful and it was nice time but the food is too expensive for quality.
A little hesitant due to the Coronavirus, but decided to take the plunge. We were very pleasantly surprised; the precautions were good with extra spacing around all tables, all staff wore masks, temperatures taken etc. The food was up to the usual high standard and the staff were efficient and courteous. We will revisit.
Excellent service as always. Lovely food and honestly great value for money.
I chose the ivy for my hubbys birthday, the service from start to finish was impeccable nothing was to much for the staff. Our waitress was so lovely and friendly and she brought out a mini cake with a candle for my hubby's birthday.
The food was very well presented and delicious could of been a bit hotter but lovely all the same. I will definitely return as it is a welcoming and friendly restaurant.
