The Ivy Cafe Blackheath
Lovely Art Deco decor, great attentive service, food was lovely and courses came out with reasonable time in between, set menu is good price and value for money. Would recommend for specials occasion or just want to go to catch up with friends.
Lovely as always
Lovely night with my husband
Main courses arrived too quickly after.our starters, it was a special occasion & we felt we should have been given more time between courses. We had to ask for our wine three times & the table was not completely cleared off between starters & mains. We were asked at least twice about desserts when we had made it clear that we wanted to finish our wine before looking at our options. We did feel like we were being rushed a little. Our waitress however was lovely & the food excellently presented & tasty.
A beautiful location to have a nice brunch with calm ambiance and interesting views. Menu good although inside is very crowded I think they need to review table densities but outside was beautiful
We lunched at the 'Ivy', Blackheath on Saturday. The menu and the service was impeccably impressive!! My son enjoyed the 'fish and chips' and so we will definitely return.
Very noisy and if you have special dietary requirements they have no flexibility.
Beautiful inside, really great food and brilliant service.
Had a lovely breakfast at The Ivy for my husbands birthday. The service was great as was the food. Would definitely recommend.
Really enjoyed afternoon tea at the Ivy Blackheath- the scones were delicious and we had plenty to eat. Would definitely go back
As always, the Ivy Cafe in Blackheath lived up to its reputation. Unusually it wasn't completely rammed so was a little quieter than usual.
We unfortunately had terrible service this time. I've been before and it was ok, but this time our experience was really spoilt by very bad service which is a shame as the food was nice.
I've been to this restaurant several times now and it has never disappointed. Great service, excellent food, drinks are a little pricey but it's a lovely place to go for a nice occasion. Would recommend it.
My table was not dressed.
I had to wait until after 4 pm to order the special house sea bass, was given a filet instead.
I don't think I will go back again.
Excellent restaurant, always first class food and service.
The food is excellent and always freshly cooked. We were sitting under an aircon outlet and it was slightly chilly; I'll take long sleeves next time. This is only a minor complaint. The Ivy Cafe is an excellent restaurant.
Excellent as always
The food was the highlight of our visit - really nice menu cooked well.
Service was disappointing - reception was confused as our booking was misplaced, drinks waiter rather abrupt and unwelcoming eye contact in rather short supply
My dining companion thought it might be because we were not spending enough to matter which was a sad thought
Our table for 2 was next to a rather boisterous birthday group who were having a good time but the tables are too near together for comfort
Disappointed as I went prepared to find my new go- to local eatery.
Bravo to the kitchen staff and chef though
Our wedding anniversary meal didn’t disappoint us. Once again The Ivy’s relaxing atmosphere provided a great dining experience for us. The service is fantastic and all the staff made us feel special and served us with great care and attention. Both me and my husband had delicious expertly cooked food. We thoroughly enjoyed our special evening.
Fantastic service, lovely atmosphere and delicious food! Highly recommended
We went for Brunch for my Husbands birthday. Normally I go to the Tower Bridge Cafe, but decided to go local this time and it didn’t disappoint. It’s small in comparison to others but both the food and service was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend
Value for money, welcoming service, good atmosphere
My fifth visit to the Ivy Blackheath. As always good food, excellent service and great value for money. a little bit slow this time on getting the main course. Usually go of an evening but this was a Saturday afternoon so this may have been the difference but a very enjoyable experience.
I’ve been to a number of The Ivy’s and on several occasions as I’ve always had a wonderful evening. At least once a month visitor to Tunbridge Wells and Covent Garden (for many years at the Market Grill). However, this was my first time in The Blackheath restaurant and is my least favourite of the restaurants. If it had been a first time visit to the chain I probably wouldn’t return. Service was fine. The wine was warm. It was extremely loud in the restaurant to the point we had raised voices in order to hear each other. The duck starter lacked a lot of meat, creamed spinach was really bland and our last plate arrived almost 5mins after the first 3 mains without explanation.
Had a great meal with my family. Waiter was the perfect host.
Really fantastic service. The Pie was delicious, cosy intimate atmosphere.
One of the nicest meals I’ve ever had - great place
Excellent. Perfect from start to finish. :-) :-) :-)
10/10 out of the park as usual so good. look forward to next visit
Waiters great, fast service, nice ambience. Good for the area
It was my daughters 21st birthday. The restaurant is lovely and has a nice feel about it. The service was not great as we got our mains but had to wait for our sides. Our steaks were all over cooked. I asked for a cake with a candle as it was her birthday and it was just placed in front of her no happy birthday or anything. We had to keep asking for our wine to be topped up as well.
Exceptional service and very friendly/helpful staff
brilliant service and great atmosphere, all the food was great
Perfection. nice food with wonderfully services. well done
stunning services with a smile. look forward to returning soon.
Always look forward to dining at The Ivy Blackheath. Great ambience. Friendly, helpful staff.
Service was very poor. We were waiting for nearly 1 hour to get our food.
Then the our courses were rushed.
Lovely staff - Food was a bit expensive for what it was
A great venue, good ambience, well designed interior, (love the prints) good staff and service, good food. A must 'go to' in Blackheath.
We tried the Ivy Cafe, Blackheath on a Sunday evening at 6pm. We saw on the website there was entertainment between 6-9pm. The background music was lovely 1930’s jazz, very relaxing but wouldn’t say entertaining. We requested a bench seat online, which was noted and granted. Was close to the bar, so was lovely to watch them preparing drinks, whilst waiting for our food.
View outside was good, across Blackheath Common, and an adjacent table requested the aircon be switched off, as it was getting chilly inside. They were fine with that. You can eat immediately outside if you wish, one row all around the front, but was windy!
The food choices were excellent, the service first class, the taste superb, the whole bill including 6 Aspall ciders at £5 each, and a White Port & soda, and 12.5% discretionary service charge was £177 for 4 people. Better than we expected. Parking is right outside (unsure if metered at that time) as we have a Blue Badge. The table is up to 2 hours for 4 people, it goes up as the guest number rises. I’m sure they’d be flexible.
We are going again soon and making it the venue that we get introduced to my daughters boyfriend of 9 months! About time...we look forward to another special evening. We wound definitely try the other Ivy Cafes in the future. Thank You 🍾😍
