The Ivy Cafe Blackheath
I have been to the ivy in Blackheath on numerous occasion as it’s one of our favourite restaurants just to go and have a nice experience of great food and wines they have, and it’s fairly local to us…absolutely nothing negative as we have never had a bad experience when dining here… Thank you Ivy we are back fairly soon!
The lovely dine eve with excellent customer service. The food was delicious and filing. We definitely will come back here
Brilliant service, food and atmosphere would definitely come back, enjoyed every moment
Wonderful to be back! Team were very accommodating to our friend’s little one and made us feel completely at home.
This is the second time we have been to the ivy blackheath and we think it has got worse. The service was poor and the food was cold when it came. It was my husbands birthday, I went to the loo and they brought out the birthday dessert when it was just him at the table as they were in a rush to get the table back. I do not think we will be going to this Ivy again.
Lovely food and amazing service! We will definitely be back soon!
Great location, great, staff, great food and great company!! What more do you need?
Lovely atmosphere, food was excellent and came quickly. Unfortunately the drinks were not as quick. It may have been because the restaurant was full, but it did detract slightly was was otherwise a great experience.
Excellent service and food as usual. Beautiful warm bread, the best risotto I've ever tasted and arrived nicely warm. Service excellent and quick yet we never felt rushed.
Fantastic food and impeccable service. Thank you for making our evening super
Excellent food and service as always. Had a great evening
The Ivy Blackheath, always a pleasure..food superb, staff friendly and efficient
Always a lovely experience. We love to attentive servers and their knowledge. Thank you for another lovely dinner
It's a really lovely place to go, staff and service is very professional and friendly. Food is very tasty with a nice selection. Only thing I would say is that I arrived on time but still had to wait 10 minutes for our table. I think maybe if there's a time slot, customer's should have a friendly 15 minute reminder before they leave.
Customer Service nothing like you would expect from the Ivy chain. Have eaten in the City,SoHo , Canary Wharf, Covent Garden and there is good Customer experience that is consistent.
Food was excellent.
Lovely meal as always, although a bit of a wait for drinks.
First time after lockdown, somehow the food usual amazing quality was not there any more. Disappointing.
Lovely food, great service - friendly and knowledgeable.
We went for Sunday morning breakfast and it was perfect. We're lovely staff nice attending. We sit outside and was great. We get even small cake to wish as our happy anniversary. It was perfect. We will be back for sure.
Great service and lovely food, great to not feel rushed even though we were still there at midnight.
After such a long time in long down, it was such a fantastic place to be the service and food was outstanding!
Staff when you very polite and friendly
Really had a nice time
We both had a lovely meal -the restaurant was busy but despite this it was relaxing and our waitress was lovely -thoroughly enjoyed our meal
Had a lovely early evening meal at the ivy couldn’t fault a thing can’t wait to go back
Very good, enjoyable lunch
A very enjoyable meal with good wine. We were looked after very well, Will be recommending.
The food was divine and as a vegetarian I appreciated the vegetarian menu. The service at our table was excellent. The member of staff who greeted us at the front desk unfortunately didn’t seem to have the right skill set for that role. She was surly, unhelpful and dismissive. It’s a shame she let the rest of her team down. That said, everything else was wonderful and we look forward to returning again soon and have already recommended to others.
I felt a bit rushed by the waitress but it was overall okay
This restaurant is always a favourite. Lunch with friends, we opted for the set menu on this occasion. The food is still excellent, service spot on and friendly. It provides great value for money. Thoroughly recommend, for brunch, lunch and evening meals.
Service was outstanding , food was tasty. The restaurant was clean and calm
Grandchildren had the pancakes far too much yoghurt on them ,hardly any salmon on the eggs royal ,one egg very underdone. Waited ages when we ordered a drink . Our waiter not very attentative or friendly. Very over priced even for blackheath .
A beautiful and elegant restaurant in a lovely setting. I had a fabulous meal here with friends and I will highly recommend the rum baba - totally divine.
On arrival was told table only available for a certain amount of time , large group behind us very loud , restaurant was dark ok for me , but my 2 friends both were glasses so couldn’t see the menu ,seemed like the waiter was rushing us , starter came and was nice , lemon sole for main £19.95 just for the fish no sides come with it at all , so think it should be served with at least one side , the lemon sole wasn’t filleted , so the bones were very off putting and not the nicest thing to eat, didn’t have dessert as didn’t really enjoy my main , 7th time at the Ivy so always enjoyed it but must say been with family and friends different every time and they all agree it seems like your rushed .
Amazing service and delicious food. Very attentive waiters.
Lovely food, great service.
Menu includes both traditional favourites and seasonal surprises. Excellent choice and price range. The Set menu provides great value. Wonderful drinks choices
Never in my life have I ever been spoken to like I was at the Ivy in Blackheath.
I am registered disabled, I do not carry a badge to tell the world. The Hostess upon arrival stated I needed a mask, I replied I do not wear one as I am asthmatic. I was answered back with its Government policy. I reminded her it is a guideline and as a disabled member of society I am unable to wear. I haven't been out in months as I suffer terribly with anxiety and ocd. I made the effort to do this for my Aunt, whom I hadn't seen since one week before Christmas 2020. I was made to put the mask on my face and to scan my phone which I have never done so asked for help. This young woman was very rude about the whole thing. My Aunt was running late I told her this and she very curtly replied "you only have the table for an hour and 45 mins" to which I replied "that's absolutely fine thank you"
I was then left for 10-15 mins before any one came to see if I needed a drink or anything.
After another 10 mins went by, the host went to a manager looking person and in a loud voice proceeded to talk about very loudly.
I was gobsmacked.
I messaged my Aunt explained what had happened and said I will not be eating here.
My Aunt arrived, I finished my £10 glass of peach bellini paid and we left.
NEVER AGAIN WILL I STEP FOOT IN THE IVY BLACKHEATH!!
The Menu didn't look great anyway!
Requested an outside table and we were accommodated - attentive service.
Excellent food and service , tonight’s waiter was very friendly and professional
Always enjoy the service and the ambience there . Food is always up to standard too.
