The Ivy Cafe Richmond
Beautifully located near the river Thames and a few moments from Richmond Park, the restaurant features a private dining room and a bar, offering relaxed yet sophisticated dining.
Usually a lovely experience, been many times. Unfortunately it was very rushed & I did not enjoy the whole exoerience this time around!
Brilliant as always. Delicious food and delicious cocktails, best whisky sour.
Looking forward to seeing you all after lockdown.
Interesting decor, good staff who know the menu. Attentive without being intrusive. Scallops wonderful. Will be back when ope.
Mackerel pâté was served with thick cut cheap bread. I expected something better. Spoiled the presentation.
Our first visit to an Ivy. It was on the last day before lockdown (Nov) with a gift token that was nearing expiry so we expected it to be not at its best, but it was an excellent outing. The restaurant was full but running very smoothly, no one looked hassled, the food was good and service quick.
We will be coming again.
Our final lunch out before lockdown!
We felt covid safe, as we were in the upstairs dining room. Excellent service and delicious food. Thankyou we will be back.
Always w Great place to lunch but even nicer on the day before lockdown 2 !!
Superb food, great service - altogether a great lunch. Will return....
Lobster was overcooked, rib eye steak wasn't seared properly. Service was poor. Overpriced for what we got. Wouldn't come again.
We’ve had excellent time. Staff was very friendly and atmosphere was great.
Fab experience and lush breakfast for a special time together
Just out of this world special, its hard to believe this is a chain restaurant.
Grabbed a table before lockdown for a family birthday meal. As per usual, the food was of a consistently high standard and always easy to find something you want to eat off the menu.
Lovely meal out with the family
Great, as always. A slight change up to the menu would be good every now and then but one of my favourite places.
The venue is a little small compared to the others I have visited. Regardless, fantastic restaurant...top class
Nice selection of options for breakfast which were well prepared and served by very friendly staff. Great coffee too, so all round a great experience. Look forward to getting back there when we can.
Great atmosphere and consistently great food - aways a winner!
Food was impeccable. Ambience was great and the service was good too.
A very pleasant experience, happy to go again. Breakfast I feel was over priced for what you actually get though.
Another lovely evening at one of the Ivy restaurants, as usual great food and amazing ambiance and service.
The staff were so lovely, catering for our 2 young children really well.
The sourdough bread was the best we have ever tasted!
We arrived at 10:55 for brunch. At the entrance we were asked if we would like the breakfast or brunch menu. Upon seeing that the "brunch" menu was the lunch/dinner menu with two dishes of poached eggs, we asked the waiter for the breakfast menu. It was 10:58 and he explained that they stopped serving breakfast at 11:00. He then proceeded to point at the two poached eggs dishes available on the menu as if this was somehow good enough. We had our coffee and left.
It's the weekend before lockdown and you're really treating customers like this?
Delicious food, with lots of options for vegetarians and vegans. Great service and excellent covid safety measures.
Excellent breakfast, the full vegetarian was excellent and so much! Service was exemplary.
Absolutely fabulous experience. The food and the highest standard of service made our evening unforgettable. Our waiter Nelson was fantastic and splendid.
For a cheeky little Saturday treat you can’t fault The Ivy. Staff are always smashing.
Had a meal on Halloween and had the pumpkin patch desert which was incredible! The artistry was superb!
We have our halloween dinner with our children. Food was amazing. Great service. Definitely go there again!
We visited The Ivy Cafe in Richmond for Halloween. Loved the special cocktails and pudding - really imaginative. We both had the market special which was grouse shepherds pie and it was delicious! Lots of meat in a beautiful gravy under a smooth tasty carrot mash. The accompanying brioche bread sauce and juniper jus were highly seasoned with herbs and delicious, they matched the meal beautifully. Several other guests dressed up for Halloween which was fun. Re Covid precautions - temperature was checked as we walked in, we were asked to use the hand sanitiser, reminded about our masks and every table had a hand sanitiser. Very well set up.
I just love this restaurant! The food, drink, service and ambience are all fantastic. I go back time and time again because it's always good.
Excellent service and the food was very good. The restaurant followed the government guidelines.
Fabulous meal as always, stunning food and impeccable service.
I have been to different The Ivy cafes on many occasions. But my visit to the Richmond branch recently was not the best. Service was ok and my food arrived cold and no butter in my daughters scrambled egg on toast. I didn't want to complain as we were out for brunch for a friends birthday.
I hope my next visit isn't as bad.
Very disappointed having eaten here for many years the food was such a let down the best bit of the meal for me was my starter scallops with cauliflower purée it was delicious my husband had a burger which he has had many times before He said it was very dry and also had to build the burger him self on a cold bun. I ordered truffled chips to go with my main a chicken salad and they were the same as my husband’s chips(frozen) which was very disappointing and some truffled bread crumbs thrown on the top we at least expected fresh cut chips Our waitress was absolutely wonderful.
The food, service and ambiance was superb and we will certainly be back in the near future. It was a lovely touch that the staff and chef acknowledged our anniversary :)
I really wish they would enforce the “wear a mask unless you are seated at your table” rule. Extremely annoying that in the middle of a pandemic they are allowing guests to get up for their table and mingle with others without a mask.
Great experience overall, food and service was fantastic.
Ivy goes from strength to strength. Hadn’t tried Richmond ivy before. Excellent service, food and ambiance.
We wanted a different seat and this was easily accommodated. Covid precautions were excellent. Good usual mouthwatering standard. Thank you.
