The Ivy Cafe Richmond Ratings and Reviews
So it might have Cafe in the name but in no way do you feel like you are in a Cafe. Very refined dining in a comfortable atmosphere. The restaurant is beautiful (including the toilets) - it feels like a special occasion type place. The staff are very attentive, the menu vast as is the wine list. I thoroughly enjoyed this first time at this particular branch. My only slight gripe is that I find it a little too dimly lit but thats it, I absolutely love it here. For me I think it suits more smaller intimate groups for dining rather than huge gatherings.
Despite being quite late following a match at Twickenham the restaurant were welcoming and we enjoyed delicious food with excellent service. Although there is a 2 hour limit for the table the restaurant were accommodating and didn’t make us feel rushed, which was much appreciated.
I took my sister to the Ivy for a Champagne afternoon tea. The food and the champagne was really delicious and well made. In addition to this the customer service was excellent. Each staff member was engaged and conscientious.
We had a great time and will certainly be back.
A great place to meet friends and soak up a vibrant atmosphere . Very buzzy , even midweek . The service was excellent and our waiter even found us another table due to a us being near the door and a little chilly.
The food was excellent , however the wait was longer than expected .
The specials were quite expensive - the Halibut £28 approx and sides extra .
Overall a great place to have some good food in a lively spacious restaurant .
We visited the Ivy Café in Richmond for my husbands birthday lunch. It was very busy but the service was great and we were still made to feel special. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and really great value (we had the lunchtime menu). As well as this the décor is great which really adds to the atmosphere and overall experience.
My friends and I had a super lunch here recently. The café is beautiful and the staff were discretely attentive and friendly. The menu is great and the taste and presentation of the food was first rate. The ambience of the restaurant was such that it created a lovely setting for our friends' get together. Highly recommended. Booking essential.
This was an excellent choice for a special birthday (ie ending in 0!) dinner for six. We had an oval table which facilitated conversation. The staff were friendly and attentive. The menu offered a wide choice of dishes with good options for a vegetarian guest. The food was generous and delicious with thoughtful use of herbs and spices. The vegetable side dishes were precisely cooked. Desserts, such as the chocolate bombe, were as indulgent as one would wish. The décor was fantastic with reference to the Richmond locality. We will return!
First class and excellent value for money for 20% more than a chain such as Bills and 3 times the experience.
Can't say enough about this stunning venue with professional /welcoming staff your are really made to feel special without the cheese !
thanks you we will be back again v soon Ed
The style, food and staff are just what you would expect from "The Ivy". The food was delicious with many traditional dishes with a "quirk". Our waiter Ben was one of the best informed and most amiable members of staff that we have come across for a long time. Well done The Ivy, well done Ben
GREAT FOOD - GREAT SERVICE - COOL ART - NOT PRETENTIOUS
I booked a table for our 11 year anniversary after being impressed by food, service and ambiance of Ivy Cafe Marylebone. The Ivy Richmond is larger and brighter with that same European continental cafe charm without the pretense of members diner club. The staff were friendly & accommodating as our baby sitter was running late so we needed to push booking back a bit later. Food is delicious and portions are a decent size probably best medium rare sirloin steak I've eaten, Wife's swordfish was equally smashing. They made us some complimentary anniversary chocolates which was a nice touch as well.
