Great food. Even better cocktails. Improved customer service since my last visit.
Onre of my favorite restaurants but for the first time we felt they were a bit stretched. I requested a table near the window for my step daughter's 21st and were initially seated behind the till. We were then kindly moved into what I would term the main restaurant where if you are taking someone for a treat is more lively.
Food excellent as usual, service good although we were told at one stage a wine bucket wasn't possible and had to asked to have old drinks etc taken from the table, but all in all still a great restaurant and we will go back, maybe just a bit stretched that night!
It is always a joy to go to the Ivy and be waited on with some high quality customer service. The ambience is amazing, the décor exquisite and the food delicious. It is also very reasonably priced which means you can dine in style without breaking the bank.
We received excellent service and the food was delicious!
Really great for a quick, nice lunch . Prices reasonable, nice wine recommendations. Warning , the portions are bigger than you would expect. This is no bad thing.
Great evening. Friendly staff, fantastic drinks selection. Only minor gripe, maybe a few more vegetarian dishes.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were looked after by the excellent staff . The food was of a high standard and well cooked and presented
Definitely a good night out
We have been on a number of occasions and always been well looked after with amazing food, we have had breakfast and lunch and this was our fifth occasion for dinner. This occasion was for a family dinner to celebrate my sons birthday and they excelled as always. Can’t recommend this place enough it is truly wonderful
It was the first time any of us had eaten at the ivy,the 0ccasion was my mothers 89th birthday
we all loved everything about the Ivy,food, service, it was just great and we will be back again,
thank you for a wonderful day.
A nice lunch with good food and excellent, friendly service in a very pleasant atmosphere.
The staff very kindly looked after us and managed to sit our party together despite us being 2 separate bookings due to the size of our table. The staff really looked after us and everyone had a great time.
Loved the ambiance. Great American style bar. I would suggest you choose your menu carefully. I had fab fish and chips. However my friend was so disappointed with her dish.
Will certainly eat there again.
Awesome atmosphere, the waiters were very attentive and friendly.
Enjoyed the ambience and the menu of the day. Service was very good and the rooms looked beautiful. Well done
I had mentioned in my booking that the event was for the Morher’s Day (in our home country) and coincidentally also for my wife’s birthday. However none of those was notified within our service.
Dined for the first time at this place. The waiting staff kept dropping cutlery which created so much noise and disruption. The food can be easily beaten by pub food and the clientele seemed to look like typical pub goers. Disappointing experience.
The Ivy has got this variant of their original restaurant perfect...all the elements work and the value for money is excellent.
Very lovely and friendly staff, coffee is absolutely delicious! Perfect for a Sunday breakfast as it's very relaxing. Thank you
Celebrated my birthday there with family - everything was perfect .
Great venue, always very accommodating of babies. Great place to meet up with friends for lunch or brunch.
Another thoroughly enjoyable lunch at The Ivy Richmond. Good value set lunch menu and charming service.
This is a great place to enjoy a long leisurely breakfast. Good variety of food bottomless drink ( non alcoholic) and newspapers
What more can you ask.
Really lovely food, great service, good wine and a good menu. Prices ok too.
We had a splendid evening meal at the Richmond Ivy to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was busy and buzzy and the welcome warm and efficient. Service was excellent and the food perfect. We were very impressed and are looking forward to finding an excuse to go there again.
Very good service, the menu does not change (as I've been on various occasions, both for lunch and dinner) and the ambiance is great. The food is particularly good, though not varied. Glad to have this in Richmond.
Birthday celebration spoiled by birthday guest’s main course incorrect and second guest’s chicken under-cooked.
Apart from that, service was excellent and very attentive.
Would have appreciated greater service recovery.
My meal was excellent. my wife's was poor. The staff dealt with it very well.
Another excellent meal with special attention from your wine waiter
Good service and great food. We was given a nice table and we was not rushed out when we finished.
Our meal was superb and a shout out to the staff - they were so friendly, on the ball and really engaging with our needs and questions about the food etc.
Classy, comfortable and chic. there on a date - beautiful sunny bank holiday. good service, great ambience and tremendous food. highly recommend
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. Good food and service we thought it was top notch. We will certainly come back.
Really enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at the Ivy Café in Richmond! The atmosphere was great, service and food was excellent. My only minor comment would be that I found the tables were very close together so you were sat very close to people at the next tables. Would not stop me visiting again though.
OK not great. Crab linguini dull and a small portion. Tuna Carpaccio good
The food was of average quality and we did not have to wait for the food to arrive. Wine, we thought was reasonably priced but the service was poor.
First of all one wine glass needed replacing due to a crack (understandable) but the wine that was in it was not replaced. Later, a waiter routinely replenished some wine from our bottle and it was knocked all over the table cloth (red wine). Once again, the wine was not replaced. The staff were working incredibly hard and it was a busy evening but a smile would have added to our celebrations. Also, the noise level made it very difficult to hear each others conversation.
Our experience in The Ivy Richmond was exceptional in every way, the moment we walked in to the charming receptionist. Its a beautiful restaurant, lovely art work, very comfortable seats, enough space between the tables for privacy, excellent service and sensational food. Fantastic value for money. We can’t wait to return.
Over bearing staff when you want to meet your wife at 6pm on Friday and catch up after a busy week. Staff insisted on poring our prosseco for us , when all you want at that time of the day is to be left alone. The system failed instantly when the girl who was serving us went off somewhere else and we sat there for over ten minutes with empty glasses with a newly opened bottle of wine 10 ft away! Made the point to the new waiter who finally came over and then went from no filling of the glass to one sip and he’s there topping it up. It’s not what you want, having to play politics with the staff over there duties. Ordered a mojito for dessert and it came to me looking like a Fanta lemon with a shot of rum in it and a sprig of mint dunked in the top. Being an Ivy patron over many, many years, if the cocktail maker can’t be asked to make a descent drink? Then the Richmond cafe is a victim of its own success. We won’t be going back.
The occasion was a present for my sister, pre theatre; we were early for the booking but that presented no problem. We had a lovely seat by the window, the service, table layout and food was glorious ( very tasty vegetarian'). We were treated like VIP's. In one word it was 'wonderful'.
Lovely ambiance, good food, the set menu was very good value - the hake was excellent. Unexpectedly good to find a reasonable wine at under £20 a bottle Only quibble is the acoustics which were challenging.
I have had brunch at the Ivy before, not dinner.
The food was disappointing for dinner they could do better.
