The Ivy Cafe Richmond
Beautifully located near the river Thames and a few moments from Richmond Park, the restaurant features a private dining room and a bar, offering relaxed yet sophisticated dining.
Lovely place for breakfast/brunch. Portions were generous, food was tasty & lovely ambience!
I always love coming to the Ivy Cafe. The service is ALWAYS incredible, the food is always delicious and the atmosphere is always just right to have an intimate evening with a friend. There was live music whilst I was there which wasn't imposing and just gave a really nice extra feel to the evening.
This is my go to restaurant whenever I have visitors.
Great food and service. Love the ambience and decor.
Great service, value for money and atmosphere that makes the whole experience with while.
Always amazing standards and really good vibe. Loved the strawberry ice cream with white chocolate sauce. We were travelling on the day and they kindly kept our three big suitcases in the cloakroom for half day. Perfect place to impress family and friends. 10/10
Always a real treat to go to ‘The Ivy ‘
Staff are so friendly and very attentive
I would definitely recommend
This is a lovely place in which to eat. The welcome is warm and the service is polite and efficient. It has a lovely atmosphere. The food is good, but the quality somewhat mixed. The crab and avocado tian looked fantastic but lacked flavour due to lack of any seasoning. My steak ordered medium rare arrived cooked medium to well done. I was about to send it back but tasted it first and the flavour was excellent. The puddings were fine. The wine list is OK but quite pricey.
This was my second visit to an Ivy café. As before the building was very impressive, but the noise-level was so high that it was difficult to have a comfortable conversation. Food was ok, if unexciting, and more expensive that other similar restaurants. Service was efficient.
Great food good service and made to feel very welcome. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.
Delicious food and great attention to detail by the staff!
Delicious food; although don’t order the shrimp and avocado burger; it tasted like rubber.
Lovely food, good attention to detail and friendly staff. Will definitely return and will recommend.
Service below the usual high standards the house lager was flat and was given the wrong desert.
First below par experience in many visits.
The overall impression was outstanding. FOH, but especially Nadia went out of their way to accommodate us for a special occasion. It was the can do attitude with a smile that was outstanding. Afternoon Tea and bistro dishes were delicious and despite the wait, the staff were very pleasant. Whilst waiting for our order it was great to people watch in the delightful dining room and the gentlemanly manners of all the young waiting staff was a pleasure to see.
It was a perfect afternoon for three generations, with all of us leaving very happy.
Thank you from top to bottom, and please be aware that the leadership and training does not go unnoticed. well done!
Good food & athmosphere. We had great lunch as a family on Sunday afternoon!
Omelette and toast came without toast and when the toast did arrive it was stone cold and had to be reordered.
Valentines & Birthday meal - which they forgot my desert and forgot to write Happy Birthday on it. The food and place is great, some service issues and perhaps a bit over pices for what it is, but tnejoyed is for a special treat.
Absolutely amazing service, cocktails and the fish & chips were perfect. We were celebrating a special occasion and they did everything to ensure that it was special. I will definitely be booking again.
Really impressed, we had excellent service & outstanding food. Highly recommended.
Place was too noisy not enough sound insulation. Felt like we were sitting on top of your achievements other let alone others. Had to ask twice for vegetarian menu. Seemed like a chore to get it. I have a stick to help me walk which hostesses saw and yet no one told me about the toilet facilities downstairs until after I had climbed up an awkward steep flight of stairs ... Bit late then should be informed when you are sat down to show consideration to less abled guests. Food was okay nothing spectacular for what we paid. Real shame as was joint birthday celebration which I did say on the booking... Did also ask for prosecco on arrival which didn't happen. Had to ask for it. Spoiled the surprise.
Lovely brunch with my baby and partner
Great romantic dinner with my wife to break new year food and alcohol fast.
Lunch was lovely, service eztremely attentive without being intrusive. A real treat - will definitely be back!
Fantastic option for a romantic evening, highly recommended!
The Ivy in Richmond is just wonderful. Great food, interesting drinks, top class service. A little expensive? Yes, but not in a snobby way — well worth it.
We had a lovely meal and the staff are always polite and on hand for whatever you need
Me and my husband celebrate our Valentines day at The Ivy Cafe in Richmond and we are very please with the service we received, the food is amazing, not very pricy to think that the place/ ambiance is excellent. We would definitely be coming back and will recommend to our friends and family.
Beautiful restaurant, delicious food the only improvement would be a slightly more attentive waiter.
Loved it. Felt like a treat but not too expensive. Staff very attentive and helpful. Food and drinks great. Decor lovely. Really really enjoyed an evening out.
Spending very nice time thanks and we will repeat this experience very soon
Great food and cocktails. Different flavours to cuisine. Could do with a bit more space for couples tables
Lovely atmosphere, an early pre theatre dinner. We did ask for a bigger table as often so small and told no as fully booked but lots of tables still empty when we left. Otherwise good service and lovely food.
Cozy, intimate, with good food and the staff having attention to detail, we had a great experience for our Valentine's week dinner.
The outing was a date with my two charming and elegant Chinese submissives, to reward the young ladies for their loyalty and obedience. Coming from the People's Republic and being art students, they were deeply impressed with both the food and décor. A delightful evening.
I am a regular guest at The Ivy. As always it was a very good evening and lived up to its high standards.
Great un snooty service- no fish available that day (haddock and no blackened cod). Only fish available was salmon from the a la carte menu so the maitre d’ offered that in exchange in set menu.
Pumpkin soup tasty but warm not piping hot.
Would be nice to have enough veg in a main and avoid ordering extra sides....
I love the Ivy, the staff are very friendly and efficient. The surroundings are lovely and it has a great atmosphere. I do however have a grievance - as much as I enjoy the food I have yet to enjoy a hot breakfast! I've been there a few times now for breakfast and it's always lukewarm if that.
I do love going there and I especially love their afternoon tea!
we had an excellent meal and attentive service. Not everything we fancied was available from the menu but this was not a real difficulty. Only problem was the candle lighting which for our guests meant it was too dark to see the print on the on the menu properly. Black lettering on a white background would be easier for aged eyes.
Slow inattentive service. Had to wait ages just for a drink.
Great food, service and ambiance . Would visit again.
