Lovely meal in pleasant surroundings, with friendly and attentive service.
excellent service, great food, fab ambiance and definitely coming back.
Had an lovely experience.
Food was delicious and nutritious.
Nice warm restaurant.
Only issue for me was the two flights of stairs to the toilet.
I should of checked first.
The Ivy Cafe formula is tried & tested which is why it works. More expensive than local comparative restaurants but reliable, friendly & professional make it worthwhile.
Very nice brunch. Lovely staff, very friendly and attentive.
Delicious food and smoothies.
Enough customers to give a good atmosphere.
Lovely Art Deco setting, outstanding service, but pricey. Food was tasty & well cooked.
Waiter was very attentive.
We asked for quiet table then three people were placed right next to us and the restaurant was very quiet so this did spoil the visit.
Food was good.
Legs and feet got quite cold in conservatory.
All in all a good experience as always. However, the sandwiches was probably made earlier in the day and the bread was dry and hard as it becomes when having been exposed to air for a few hours. This was a bit disappointing.
Overall we had a very nice time. Food was good especially the chocolate bombe dessert and the cocktails were amazing!
We live the Ivy chain and use them often. This occasion was my only negative experience. I had fish cakes with pochard egg.
The first egg came out hard, I returned it. The second was soft but cold - chilled, like it had come out of th fridge like some restaurants use pre cooked eggs then warm them through before serving, not the same as proper poaching in vinegar water which was a shame. The meal cost was removed for the bill but disappointing as it’s a favourite. It’s a shame when restaurants cannot get eggs right but so many cannot nowadays.
Very tasty food and friendly staff.
It was little slow on the service between dishes and was around 3 to 5pm but no complaints as we were no rushing all round good experience.
I visited for my birthday, the food was lovely and i got a cake for my birthday which was a lovely surprise.
Lovely decor with a lovely atmosphere. The food was yummy and the service prompt. Would love to take more friends there! Also their set menu when I went (Friday midday) was amazing! Really good value - would recommend going when this is on!
Had a lovely brunch the service from when we walked in to when we left was brilliant. The food was delicious and the waiting staff give you plenty of time to place your order there is no rush implied by them. Not our first time coming here for brunch and won’t be the last.
Good selection of well made dishes in their trademark stylish setting. Lovely helpful staff who go the extra mile. Our favourite destination for family birthdays and anniversaries.
Always really good service and top quality food. The atmosphere was bubbly but not too noisy. The wine was excellent and we felt very looked after
It is always good at The Ivy.
There is a good choice of food and wine.
This time we had the Prix Fixe menu for early evening and we thought that it was good value.
Very nice cream tea and sandwiches.
Nice friendly staff.
Interesting and refreshing ingredients in the starter; tasty main course. Friendly, attentive service
Spiros one of the senior managers greeted us on arrival and as ever was professional and courteous and showed my guests to a very good table.
The food was very good and we had excellent service from Julia one of the servers, overall a very enjoyable evening and it was my two guests first visit to the Ivy and they were suitably impressed.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
It seemed that the restaurant had not taken into account that we had booked for afternoon tea or that I had in my booking requested one of the teas to be dairy free. As a consequence we waited about 45 mins for the food to arrive although they did offer us a glass of Prosecco on the house. It was lovely but not wow.
Lovely food but there was a 25mins delay till we got our table, booked at 13:30. As the only parking available in the Village was for 2hrs, this could have been a real problem but luckily the parking warden hadn’t quite made it to my car. A reply of it’s not our problem - it’s a business after all - perhaps wasn’t the most sympathetic of replies from the restaurant.
Always busy with a hum of conversation but not enough to annoy or disturb your own conversation. Fabulous decor and attentive staff on the whole. Went for an Afternoon Tea. Our order was taken after a good menu browsing time even though we knew what we wanted. Our tea and coffee arrived quickly, however the food didn't arrive for another half an hour!!!! By this time, the tea had been drunk (a very small pot that gives just about 2 cups and my partner had a small coffee). When the cakes/sandwiches arrived, a second pot was provided after I had to ask for it. I also wasn't given a choice of teas as the menu states. A bottle of tap water was provided.
A little unsure how an Afternoon Tea took 30 minutes to prepare and the drinks should have arrived with it not 30 minutes before. Menu needs to state how often tea and coffee can be refilled. I did get three pots but after 3 coffees, my partner was charged.
The food was excellent, especially the chicken brioche rolls, but please bear in mind that the tea and coffee cups are small, so you need to know you can refill and also request that the drinks arrive at the same time as the food. A 12.5% service charge is added to the bill. Personally I don't like this at all, I'd rather tip at my discretion. It says it's optional, but no one is going to ask for it to be removed, so they've got you over a barrel on this.
This is my third Ivy visit, Richmond once and Wimbledon twice and I'd definitely go again, the issues I have are small ones, the experience is great, just a couple of niggles in my view. My strongest view is that the tip should not be added to the bill.
Really average food (steak sandwich) that I could have had anywhere. As it’s the Ivy cafe, I would have expected more but perhaps it is a bland dish so I shouldn’t have expected too much.
Service was incredibly slow and we had to try flag the waitors down three separate times to get service over the 2hrs we were there.
Not impressed and won’t go back on a hurry.
This was our second visit to an Ivy Restaurant and we were not disappointed. As before the service was well above the norm for many restaurants. It was busy with a pleasant buzzy atmosphere.
Food quality was very good, speed of food arrival was very quick.
Staff were very helpful as well as professional.
Will definitely we be returning to an Ivy Restaurant.
Lovely food and atmosphere, very welcoming staff and very attentive. Booking recommended as it was packed even on a miserable, wet Saturday afternoon in February!
I’ve been to the Ivy Cafe in Wimbledon a few times before and whilst I have always enjoyed it, I never really felt the urge to write a review. However, our meal at the Ivy Cafe Wimbledon on Friday 14th February was fantastic and whilst they had run out of the tuna, the lemon sole and the scallop risotto were excellent alternatives. The service is excellent and the waiting staff are always very welcoming and attentive. Drink prices are on the higher side but the quality of the house wines, particularly the Malbec that I had on Friday are excellent. Having said that, food is great value, considering the reputation that the Ivy chain of restaurants enjoys. My thanks to the team on Friday evening and also my apologies that we perhaps overstayed our welcome, being the last customers to leave the restaurant!
Brilliant night out at the Ivy Wimbledon Village for Valentine’s Day. My first visit - long, long overdue - since it opened four years ago. The experience totally delivered in typical Ivy style. The Danby room provided a good ambience with Art Deco decor and images of Wimbledon House on the walls. Really good atmosphere. Three other tables were dining. The service was excellent: friendly and professional. The food was also top notch, from the salmon and scallops that I and my girlfriend had respectively for starters, to the scallop risotto and half chicken that we had for main course. It was topped off with the banana ice cream and deconstructed brownie for dessert which was also excellent. My only qualm would be that the only way of telling it was Valentine’s Day was by the offer of the Valentine’s cheesecake for dessert, which we didn’t go for. But other than that the Ivy Wimbledon Village delivered in typical fine Ivy style. I look forward to returning in due course.
Amazing food, great service and will definitely be returning soon. Had a lovely Valentines evening!
Was not easy to find but the restaurant was beautiful and the staff were so welcoming. The food is amazing and I would recommend going every day of the week. Will definitely visit again!
Very nice ambience. But slightly disappointing, all round. We had the afternoon tea. The sandwiches weren’t the freshest (tasted like they had been in a fridge, certainly made sometime before). The cakes and scones were nice. We were not offered any top ups of tea, which is usual for an afternoon tea elsewhere. With the addition of the compulsory service charge it was rather on the expensive side, given the quality and level of service. All in all, I’m afraid to say we’ve had much better value elsewhere.
A lovely experience all round. Staff great, food delicious. Quick service.
We were very surprised to see goods being delivered at the front of the restaurant and being wheeled through the middle of the restaurant on large trolleys several times during our brunch!! This did not add to the ambience!
Jam and butter were served with the pastries, however, there was no requirement for this as we weren’t served croissants. Pain au raisin and pain au chocolate do not need jam and butter!
Really relaxed and pleasant experience. Great breakfast meeting
There was a lot of inconsistency. 2 out of 3 eggs royals had paprika, we asked for avocado toast we were given muffins, I asked for the beet it and it didn’t arrive I had to ask twice. I asked for hot almond milk I got cold.
A wonderful evening and our first time at the Ivy. The combination of great food, fantastic service and a lovely relaxed atmosphere made for a fabulous meal.
Nice food, told table not ready even although we saw it was and we were escorted to the bar!
We enjoyed everything except the noise. We were unable to have a conversation because of loud chatter from everyone around us. We will not come again - at least in a group of more than 4.
Service and food was amazing from the time we entered until we left. My wife enjoyed the surprise. Thank you. We will be back very soon
