Favourite local restaurant. Alonso provided friendly, impeccable service. Menu changes ensures always find something new. The crab cakes with tomato salsa absolutely delicious
Waiter surly and never smiled once.
A beautiful venue with very professional staff. The menu was great and the food was excellent.
Great food, fantastic atmosphere and helpful and attentive service (particularly regarding food allergies)
Our meal was delicious with exquisite flavours. And the Ivy Cafe Wimbledon is so beautiful.
Enjoyed our night at the Ivy Wimbledon. Service was slow to start but the manager finally served us a drink to start. Food was good and service picked up.
We were a bit concerned as the table next to us was served the shepherds pie we had ordered and there's was cold and sent it back but ours was nice and hot.
We normally have a fantastic meal at the ivy cafe, but on this day it wasn't up to scratch. Service was slow, and the waitress kept mixing things up. Starters came at very staggered times, there were two dishes that weren't on the menu and food was not 100%.
It wouldn't stop us retuning though as we believe it to be a one off as it was very busy.
Lovely table by the window. Service well paced and friendly and the food was very tasty.
Fantastic service all round al great visit I would certainly return.
Service was ok. A bit overzealous at times, we were asked too often if we were ready to order and it made the experience feel rushed.
Had a lovely brunch here yesterday. Only disappointment was that they had run out of the green smoothie! Exceptional food and service. Will be returning again.
Thanks always great! It’s local to us so it’s convenient
Excellent service, lovely food and amazing venue!
Always a treat!
Had a table by the door felt like we were in the bar not the resturant.
Warm duck salad was very tasty but there was nothing warm about it!
We had a nice meal, the only thing I would comment on was that 2 hours was not quite long enough for 3 courses when it's busy as it was on Saturday.
It's not the ivy's fault but it can be very noisy in the back room when tables of people get excited!
One of the most disappointing experiences at the Ivy Wimbledon. I have been before a few times and couldn't fault it but on this occasion I felt the food wasn't of the quality I had experience in the past. I also felt for a Saturday lunch time the menu was too brunchy and I struggled to find any dishes on the mains which really appealed for lunch. Such a shame but I don't think I will be heading back any time soon.
Stopped here after a day of shopping and had a fantastic brunch. Everything was delicious and well-made. I was given the impression they wanted to hide me because of my weight, but other than that the service was amazing and would definitely consider going there again.
My only criticism is that there were five of us dining and we were seated at a round table that was only really big enough for three, consequently there was very little room on the table when our food and drinks arrived.
All lovely and delicious but the acoustics made hearing our conversation difficult. We left to go somewhere quieter for coffee.
Normally 100 per cent..unfortunately this time the soup was luke warm, no lemon with Milanese......rest of food amazing..Normally no problem
The beef is delicious , but the tops was the cod cooked in banana leaf.
Tuna starter good too.
I had a lovely birthday lunch at the Ivy in Wimbledon village. The food was delicious and the service good, as usual.
A friend and I went for a joint birthday lunch. We were greeted warmly and had a lovely table near the front window. Our waiter Orlando was very attentive and friendly, gave recommendations. Had a really lovely meal, the blackened cod was super. We’ll be going back again soon.
Again the attention to detail was great and service excellent. Seating area was wonderful and fitted the bill.
Lovely venue, very stylish with a varied menu. Food lovely and staff very attentive.
Wedding anniversary dinner / Tuesday evening / quite busy . Arrived to warm welcome by lady at front of house and taken to our table . Our waitress it was clear was still learning the ropes . Everyone has to start sometime and overall she did well but it was sometimes a frustrating process . The objection I do have was when the food arrived . The plates were at best room temperature as was the food . The Parmesan chips were cold . We were going to send it all back but decided to accept it . It was borderline . It should not be borderline at the Ivy . Puddings we had were fine . Will go back but hopefully no repeat .
Very disappointing food, in fact the worst food I have ever experienced in an Ivy restaurant. Stringy asparagus which was very difficult and in some cases impossible to chew. The crab linguine contained virtually no crab. I informed the waiter after my first course that the asparagus was stringy. The waiter said he would inform the kitchen. All contact with the staff was full of smiling charm, but I felt extremely dissatisfied with the experience.
lovely impeccable staff and surroundings and menu. only annoyance was ordering meat well done, bit was less than medium. very bloody, which put me off the whole meal. they offered all fixes, but i had lost my interest.
However our most recent breakfast was not as enjoyable as the portion size was less satisfying than our last visit approx two weeks ago.
Very noisy last 2 times I have been now I felt as if I was in a pub
Lovely ambience and friendly service. Two of the three vegan mains we ordered were a little indifferent and not particularly well done. The third (sweet potato curry) was fabulous and set what should have been the overall standard. We have had these dishes before in York and they were all delicious...maybe the chef in Wimbledon was having an off night?
Disappointed by the cheese board which was served cold. Expected the cheese to have sat on a board (prior to service) at room temperature, rather than a pre made up board which was pulled from fridge for service.
Service was very good.
Outstanding service. We had a wonderful evening in a very happy-making and tasty restaurant. Thank you.
This was my third visit to The Ivy Cafe in Wimbledon and once again it was excellent. A very relaxing atmosphere with beautiful decor, reminds me of the lovely high-end restaurants in Vegas (without the casino noise!). The food and service were wonderful and I will definitely be returning to try more things on the menu.
Food mediocre, but nice venue with good ambience. Service good but had trouble understanding one pretentious waiter....sorry but you do not look down your nose when one diner orders a prawn cocktail and a burger which is on the menu.
Worth a visit but expensive for the mediocre food.
It was my 70 birthday treat and the staff where attentive (table booket at 5.30pm we where asked at 7.20bm that the table needs to be vacant by 7.30pm
I was not informed or indead advised that there was a time limited when booking a table ?
Perhaps I will advise my friends etc of this issue
Actually, I was disappointed this time as were the group I was in. The portions were smaller than usual but far more expensive! That's disappointing...
Disappointing afternoon tea here for my mother’s 70th birthday.
On arrival had to wait in a busy doorway as table wasn’t ready.
Service very slow. Requested no chives in salmon sandwich and extra cucumber sandwiches as my mother doesn’t eat salmon but both requests ignored so I then had to wait for new to be made while my tea got cold!!! No top ups on tea and barely 2 cups full. Tea bags not leaves. Had to ask for milk as none provided.
Apologies made by the server for messing up on the order but not reflected in the price which was charged at full price including service charge!!!
Have been to better garden centres for afternoon tea :(
Also noise level meant we had to shout at each other just to be heard. Very drunk ladies behind us but overall such a noisy place.
Amazing...lovely building, great food and the service was superb : )
