Food was great & good value. Service was average, felt that they wanted to rush us to order so they could get us in & out ASAP, the service was attentive but came across as pressuring and trying to rush us. Didn’t get a check back on the food which was surprising. Would still go again and recommend it. Great value but just felt they wanted us in & out as soon as possible.

Having had a really good meal in December our return was incredibly disappointing. Our order was mis-taken, with the result that one of our party had to eat something they had not ordered. My fish was perhaps undercooked, and certainly very watery and dull, whilst my daughter's meat was dry. The vegetables were uninspiring in the extreme. The restaurant was not busy at all and there was really no excuse. Very very underwhelming experience and not cheap either.

A little disappointed that we where not told they needed the table back after 2 hours - only found out when we tried to order coffee and were told we couldn’t as they needed the table. Eventually sorted as they shuffled things around but staff attitude was poor, unlike our previous visit which was excellent. Wouldn’t go again on a Saturday evening .

We came for my wife’s 40th birthday and had champagne afternoon tea.
The food was to perfection .
Unfortunately on this visit the service was not on point. The afternoon tea came without milk and we had to ask for this but it did arrive after asking with an apology.
Unfortunately we had a table behind us with a screeching child that the parents didn’t mind leaving to do so.
Our relaxing afternoon tea was slightly scuppered by this.
The relaxing ambience was not there on this occasion.
It was slightly frustrating when we had left our own children at home to step away from the noise.
The food was fabulous and my wife seemed to enjoy the occasion even though the screeching was there..
We would still return but later in the evening and not afternoon time .

The afternoon tea was delicious and well priced. The service was fantastic. I can’t wait to go back and try the other food at the Ivy as it smelt delicious.

Delicious lunch and great service. Decided not to leave the added service charge and leave a cash tip instead and staff were very surprised and questioned us about it.
