The Ivy Cambridge Brasserie
David our waiter was amazing.
Every thing was perfect. Delicious food as always
Our Christmas Eve meal was Amazing from start to finish x
Food is pretty average
Price is expensive
Service is not good
Mislead us about the portion of the food
The breakfast was really good (as always). The service was also fine. I really like the location; this time we got a table close to the window, which was very nice.
The best Xmas Eve breakfast! We will back! Everything was just perfect.
We were very disappointed with the meal tonight, I frequently eat at the Ivy. The drinks service was slow, therefore we were half way through our starter before the drinks arrived.
The Double baked cheese soufflé was exceptional, however the squid was like leather and dint seem that fresh...the main course chips (with Fish) were limp as had clearly left in the heat. Several of the dishes were not up to there usual standard. Staff were friendly and attentive. Although the food wasn't terrible, it wasn't up to the usual standard of this restaurant, which we put down to difficulties from the pandemic e.g seemed staff shortages and maybe unable to get food supplies, as was in midst of port blockage.
Felt covid secure. Great service and great food!
Fantastic service, professional friendly staff who are very happy to help. Very nice atmosphere. Outstanding food. Cannot wait to come again :)
Top class service and food
Lovely food. The service was a bit patchy. Positive was the servers were attentive. Negative was that they forgot to bring bread for the table and the celebration plate - until I ask when paying the bill what it was and they went and got it. By that time it was a bit late.
Good food, very personable service. No issues whatsoever, very happy to eat there again
Wonderful as always! Great food, great atmosphere and super service.... a special moment shared as a family in amongst this crazy time xxx
Had a really good evening on the 22/12 just before Christmas and the following lockdown of tier 4.
The whole experience was fabulous.
The whole experience was great. Our lovely waitress made us feel welcome and was very jolly, even though the restaurant was very busy. We were not rushed to get to the next course and we were not left waiting either. It was perfectly timed. We came away feeling really treated well. A great experience!
We were pretty disappointed with the service - sorry to say. We have been to the ivy many times and want to support the Cambridge Brasserie but they service was poor- inexperienced and inefficient. We waited 20 mins for any water, and had to ask repeatedly for drinks, and to get our wine (it was placed too far away for us to get it ourselves), and the meals arrived separately...
Overall a disappointing experience. Not sure if we will be back for a while. Which is a real shame.
Can not recommend this enough, went for my other half’s birthday and got fully looked after. Can not fault them at all on anything 🌟🌟🌟
Excellent experience, first class service and very nice food. Good Covid precautions throughout and felt safe.
Excellent service, food and ambiance. We could not fault the restaurant, staff or food.
A relaxed meal with great food and lovely service!
Excellent food and service, I would thoroughly recommend a visit.
Prices increased due to Xmas. 2 course meal , 4 drinks , 2 people £190
Had a fabulous meal, thank you.
Fine dining, extremely fast service and attentive staff, but not stuffy. Busy when we were there, but not so that it affected our service. Decor was interesting, but light was so dimmed we had difficulty reading our menu.
Excellent food. Excellent service and atmosphere. Perfect for any occasion!
Dined here for dessert and drinks as a birthday celebration. We were told by the waiter to order a starter each to qualify for ordering alcoholic drinks. He then told us as we’d eaten our main course at a different restaurant already, he would agree to only 2 starters for the table of 4. We ordered 2 starters and were then told we need to order 2 more even though the waiter confirmed 2 was enough. We had to leave the restaurant and not order dessert and drinks because the way the staff treated us was very poor and they have very low communication skills within the workplace.
Lovely Christmassy atmosphere , attentive staff and loved the food . I will be back .
Food was great but very overpriced! The service was poor as it took so long to get our food, we also asked for our starters and mains to come together but they didn’t, hence starter was cold. When the mains finally arrived, the waitress dropped my chips all over the table, which she then cleaned away but never replaced the chips! Was very disappointed as the food is so overpriced.
Excellent food and atmosphere as always. Quick service too.
All COVID friendly. Disappointed as wanted a curry but duck curry was off. Offered a fish curry but not fancy fish.
Restaurant was nice, service was good but food was very disappointing for the money, my husband had lobster and prawn as starter which had only 2 pieces of lobster which were very small and then he had lobster and fillet steak for his main, we would have expected a lobster tail but had 2 small claw like pieces, steak was ok. Not worth the money.
We usually go to another restaurant in London famous for its fish so we were disappointed with his dishes as they did not compare.
Very sad as it was his birthday treat.
It was a lovely evening spent at the Ivy, Cambridge. Excellent food, friendly helpful staff and a lovely setting.
Catered for a meat eater and a non meat eater, with a great selection of wine.
Lived up to its excellent reputation and I will definitely be returning soon.
Everything was lovely felt like a proper special evening out n very safe great staff x will be back 😊
Food was great, lovely atmosphere. Drinks a little slow to arrive at times but otherwise great.
An outstanding evening meal, as usual. Just love dining here
Food is always perfect and the service is second to none. Always look forward to coming to the ivy.
Exceptional service and felt very safe. Food as always very good. There were a couple of dishes not available but plenty to choose from. Didn’t effect our choices.
Getting served from the start took ages right through the meal until the bill. Sirloin steak had large fatty areas in the meat, good flavour but not what you would expect at £27 with watercress garnish.
Would think twice before going again @ £150 two course meal. Sourdough bread was
the saving grace
Very nice place to eat and have a few drinks. And our waiter was great, the service was extremely good.
Very good food, well presented. Excellent service. Ambient surroundings, tastefully decorated. A very special place to eat.
