The Ivy Cambridge Brasserie
Great service, great food, great location. Our Waiter Giuseppe was polite, friendly, approachable and knowledgeable.
Lovely restaurant & not to busy when we were celebrating my birthday . Drinks a bit on the pricey side .
The food was good and plentiful the choice was excellent. However the cocktails were a disappointment considering the cost of them! The restaurant decor was lovely but found the seating arrangement was rather 'over crowded' unless your fortunate to get a table away from the others which were few and far between. The staff were warm helpful and welcoming. Yes I would go back again and I would recommend The Ivy as a good food restaurant 😃
Th be honest I have been to The Ivy at Bath so being a chain I knew pretty much what to expect. It was Saturday although early it was still very busy and noisy. Food is good not brilliant and prices are a bit high for the Standard. Service was good until dessert when the waitress came over and set fire to a small pan which was supposed to flambé my apple tart. However nothing came out as she had burnt the liquid away. It was quite amusing but she was very sweet and offered to get some more. I declined. Overall good food but a little pricey for what you get.
The staff are really friendly and efficient.
Fantastic lunch. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
Food, champagne and cocktails sublime
It is good if a snooty but having booked it on the basis of the lunch menu being available on a lunch time booking. On arrival I was told that the lunch set menu was not available "that day". We chose from a fairly restrictive and fairly expensive a la carte. I would rather have gone to Cote Brasserie on reflection!
We paid our first visit to the Ivy to celebrate my wife birthday, everything was fantastic from food to environment, my wife loved the experience made even better by the little birthday cake the restaurant gave us.
One of the best places to eat to eat in Cambridge.
Staffs are friendly and the food is amazing
A very pleasant visit celebrating my wife's birthday.
Food and service was excellent if a little expensive, with a good menu choice.
Will certainly be returning, for special occasions.
Very enjoyable . HIgh standard of service and food.
We look forward to our next visit.
The design and development of building has been done to exacting standards faultless facilities and service.
We had the set lunch menu and it was great value for money. Nice decor and ambiance with excellent food and service. Other diners were mainly couples and small groups. We can definitely recommend and will be going back soon.
Excellent for that special evening out, food was excellent and service good. Yes it is a bit pricey but for most of us it’s somewhere nicer than average to go on special occasions (which they acknowledge with a little tribute sweet and candles- nice touch). It’s quite buzzing but in a feel-good way and not intrusive or over loud. The atmosphere is quite vibrant in fact, lovely decor and tables spaced well so not crammed in.
Only complaint would be about having to pay for vegetables as a side order separate- come on Ivy they are an essential part of the meal not something to be used to push the price up or hide the true cost of the main dish.
I think that you should make more obvious on your menu what is gluten free or contain other allergens, as quite often the waiting staff are foreign and it is not always clear what they are saying.
The Ivy was beautifully decorated and the staff were all extremely polite. We came for breakfast for a friend's birthday, I had the avocado benedict and a side of salmon. It was all delicious apart from the eggs were a little too hard boiled, but apart from that it was lovely.
Very nice atmosphere, good service, tasty food and cocktails. Strongly recommend.
Lovely afternoon tea. Lovely dessert selection, very reasonable price
Fantastic service from very, very well trained staff. Excellent recommendations (the apple pie really was as good as our waiter said it was) on a busy and buzzy Monday lunchtime (that's pretty impressive in its own right). A generally very enjoyable experience.
I found the Ivy very nice but the lighting was a little
to dark and other dinners conversations were slightly loud due to the acoustics of the open plan
of the restaurant
We go here a lot and it's generally really good. But there have been a few times, including the most recent visit, where they let themselves down. We got a meal which wasn't great, and credit to them they tried to sort it out immediately, but the new dish given wasn't what we'd ordered. At the same time, things ordered weren't delivered and needed to be asked for more than once.
Seems like when we didn't pay the service charge (valid due to the service issues experienced) we got some attitude too, which is poor form.
Great restaurant. Delicious food and great customer service.
Lovely venue . Excellent service and really good breakfast.
We were looked after so well and a fantastic team.
Thank you we will be back.
The food was good, but not surprising or with any particular intrigue.
The wait for the mains was too long, but they did bring a cocktail, but didn't waive the service charge.
As a result we didn't have desert.
Cocktails were fun.
Saturday at 7 pm the restaurant was buzzing - energising, but noisy. Once we were seated (10 mins late), service was professional but rushed. Asked them to slow it down. Food was good. Wine expensive, as was the service charge included in the bill. And asked to vacate the table for the next diners. Don’t expect that, having spent £175 for two.
Conclusion is that it’s a well run restaurant with good quality food, but they are trying to get too many diners through in an evening. It’s a shame, and spoiled our evening somewhat.
We had a lovely evening at The Ivy would thoroughly recommend, the manager cam to our table at the end saying it was needed for next sitting, my only suggesting maybe to say could they get our bill for us rather than making us feel rushed out, perhaps offer the bar area if people do wish to sit /drink/ stay a little longer? X
My first visit to this branch of The Ivy, which is certainly as good as Chelsea and Tower Bridge. The service did slow a bit after a good start, and we had a very loud table of six next to us, the sound from which meant we had to raise our voices to talk, but other than that a good experience.
Amazing place and would recommend for high tea! The staff were very warming
This was my second visit and it did not disappoint. The service was excellant our waiter (I didnt catch he name but she was very tall) was extremely attentive without being everbearing. The food was beautiful, my only criticism is the table with all the food, we had afternoon tea, was rather full.
Super as always. It’s great to have a place you can rely upon to meet everyone in the party’ needs
We had a very enjoyable lunch with the most attentive staff who made us feel like VIP's. Will definitely return.
Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to the ivy.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
I have nothing derogatory to say.
Recommend for a special occasion
Really good meal in this busy, bustling bistro.
Absolutely fabulous evening. Delicious food, excellent service, delightful evening had by all. Thank you 😊
Great evening. Food top notch. Attentive service. Well worth the cost.
Yes, I would recommend The Ivy. It was only my second visit and both experiences were excellent. Will be back. Thank you and kind regards, Audrey Philp.
A very enjoyable lunch for two. The service was faultless, the food and wine excellent and the ambience lively but not too loud.
Helpful input to menu choices for gluten-free vegetarian in our party. Food very good. Service efficient and paced well.
Great food, superb service
Overall good experience, good food and service, good for a casual meal.
Had a lovely afternoon tea for our anniversary 24 years bless. As usual staff were pleasant and professional.. We ate a roast beef roll and salad to die for and we love your pate. Yum.. And the afternoon tea was divine.. See you soon .
