   We celebrated the birthdays of two of the guests, who were treated by the restaurant to a small dessert in recognition. The staff were polite, efficient and accommodating, adding to the enjoyment of the evening.

   A little bit disappointed ! Scones look like they were frozen ! In addition the waitress seemed in a hurry to see us leaving the table by cleaning the table very very quickly !

   Food mostly reasonable if unremarkable, but squid a little chewy and mooli was bland, thin cardboard. Service very slow - 30 minutes for the starter to arrive - and waiter resued ice bucket from previous guests. Forgot to bring water. Had to ask for bill twice.

   Our experience overall at The Ivy in Cambridge was lovely. The food was outstanding especially the dessert. The staff is very nice. The only downside is that the restaurant was quite loud as very busy.

   It is always a pleasurable experience at the Ivy. The service is exemplary (a simple example being that the waitress did not need to ask whose dish was whose). The food is also excellent. The decor and ambience is very pleasant. It is not the cheapest place but you get what you pay for,

    Full English had lightly cooked streaky bacon and so was fatty. Hash browns disintegrated on cutting. Only sausages were really hot. Baked beans warm at best. A considerable down turn from pre-COVID. Waited ages for bill and a long time before paying. Was quit busy so perhaps under-staffed. Will look for alternatives in future.

    33 pounds for a steak that doesn't come with chips or vegetables. Another 5 pound for "truffle chips" however i still dont know what truffle tastes like. Yes the steak and chips where very nice but not amazing and not worth the money especially from a chain restaurant. I am sorry to say I have had much better steaks in privately owned restaurants for 10 pounds less.

    Pre-theater visit for lunch. service was ok only the guys second shift here so a little unsure. Food was great and came fast which was good for our Theater visit. We were surprised that it was so busy at 12 mid day but a nice atmosphere. we would recommend it.

    My mum and I had a lovely breakfast at The Ivy Cambridge- we have been to a lot of them over the UK, service was lovely and attentive. We had the veg breakfast and avocado Benedict with peach and elderflower ice tea which was delicious! Food was quick and very tasty. Atmosphere was good, nice and busy and the decor was lovely as ever. Would recommend!

    Had a lovely evening at The Ivy as always but 3 of us chose the blackened cod and we were all disappointed, it was over cooked and lacking flavour. Having had blackened cod in other places it should melt in the mouth and is anything but lacking flavour! Otherwise the other courses were good, starters and desserts!

    I was slightly sceptical as I think that the Ivy must be a chain and that did lower my expectations and I thought the menu to be too many various options that can be off putting, but I was wrong. The food was delicious and fresh and great choice of vegetarian dishes which makes a change from chick pea curry and halloumi burger. I look forward to returning

    Good location and nicly fitted out inside/ good ambience. Very attentive service. Food was good but none of the table would put the cooking in the excellence category. Would go back either to this Ivy ot another.

    Very much enjoyed the champagne afternoon tea. For a special occasion treat it was perfect. However, I would in future avoid the English breakfast tea which accompanied it, it looked and tasted like dishwater.

    We loved the colourful quirky decor and the food was delicious too. The bamboo tongs provided for our fried courgette sticks weren’t easy to use - chopsticks or fingers work much better- but other than that and perhaps the lack of a candle or small light on our table (lighting wasn’t great), it was a lovely evening! Nice service and yummy squid and blackened cod!

    Our first visit and won't be the last. Excellent service and food. As it was my wife's birthday they even gave us an extra dessert. Lovely decor and great cocktails. Will definitely be returning soon.

    This was the first time at this restaurant, we have visited other Ivy restaurants before. We booked in for Afternoon Tea for a birthday celebration. We got shown to our table, everything fine. When someone eventually came to take our drinks order they asked if we were ready to order food, I said we were there for Afternoon Tea which they hadn't realised. This was disappointing as it didn't feel like very attentive service. I then thought it best to remind her that we had opted for no salmon, this was on my reservation and would have been nice if I didn't have to go over this again. When the afternoon tea arrived the sandwiches were limited for the price charged and compared to other afternoon teas in the same price bracket. Two of the sandwiches were the same to replace the no salmon option. Surely they could've been more imaginative? The scones were ok, a bit thin, not really showstoppers. The clotted cream was hard. The smoothie was weird, my sister said it was just like what her 3 year old enjoys for a snack. The cakes themselves weren't really showstoppers. What was very annoying was the waitress kept insisting on clearing plates whilst we were eating, she was desperate to take away the afternoon tea tower but that is all part of it, we have paid to enjoy afternoon tea, leave it on the table! Finally, it was very lovely that they surprised my mum with a choux bun with a candle on it for her birthday but it sat, with the candle lit, for ages next to the till opposite where we sitting. Over 5 minutes and then the waitress presented to my mum when one of our party (there were only 3 of us) had gone to the toilet! That was disappointing. Overall, I enjoyed myself but it could have been a far better, more premium and streamlined experience. I probably won't book The Ivy again for afternoon tea.
