I have to say this but not up to usual standards A few miscommunications One starter forgotten, although complimentary dessert and tea But no one wants to sit without food while the rest of the party are eating!!! Nice to sit at the bar first, but the bartender wasn’t very attentive, he seemed to be alone and busy I’m here again Christmas evening so hopefully back to usual high standard

My husbands fish batter was rubbery and the chips tasted like they were frozen and bought in and not freshly made in the kitchen and so was the fish probably. My grain salad was nice but very small - another 2 spoonful of grains salad would have made a proper meal

For a brunch it was disappointing. The breakfast/brunch diners are all squashed at front of restaurant on small tables while entire main restaurant left empty where it is much more appealing in terms of tables and booths, lighting and space.

We had a wonderful birthday lunch with the festive set menu. Such a classy decor, lovely waiting staff and food was delicious. Felt like a very special day out and will definitely do again for a special occasion.

Hi, we always enjoy coming back to the Ivy, my sister has celiac disease and she can be dreadfully ill with it but she has never had a problem after eating there. The staff were lovely and very attentive, we also met William the new manager who welcomed us and even took some photos for us, Great experience, see you all again soon. X

Sadly our visit on this occasion wasn't to the high standard we have grown to expect from this personal favourite . Our waiter had an unfortunate odour of BO. Batter on the fish was stodgy and some Festive menu choices were already sold out at 1pm. Disappointing but not put off.

After telling the restaurant that we had a voucher we were treated differently, we weren’t told what was on the platter and not asked if we enjoyed our stay or if any problems. Towards the end of the stay when collecting our coats, they were just thrown at us and weren’t asked if we enjoyed our food or even a goodbye.

We went on a Saturday afternoon - very busy and very noisy. Food was good and value for money. Service was slow and we had to repeat our asks more than once for them to be even acknowledged. Just basics "can we have a spoon?" "Can we have the bill?" Staff were very polite, they were just too busy.

Only reason didn’t give 5 stars is because 5 of us were crammed in to a table for 4, even though there were plenty of other larger tables vacant, we all had full English breakfast and there was not enough room on the table we had to put some items on the floor! We told the waiters there wasn’t enough room but they didn’t do anything .

The Ivy never fails to impress and is still one of our favourite restaurants. This was our first experience of the Cambridge branch, we have been to an number of your restaurants including, The original Ivy, plus Oxford and York, and I have to say we will certainly be coming back to Cambridge. We simply could not fault any part of our evening, the service was excellent, the price was very fair, the ambience was absolutely spot-on, and there is always great decor and pictures to feast your eyes on as well as the food. Yesterday there was even live music which was a bonus. Please don’t change anything, the Ivy is absolutely spot on in every way.

Late lunch at the Ivy was lovely. The only very slight downside was the bones in the cod fillet which shouldn't have been there. Otherwise a really nice treat.

Always a high standard.. food service surroundings! My Prawn starter was really nice.. my husbands calamari too! We both had the Sweet potato curry which we had had b4 and it was as good as we remembered!! I had coffee( not very hot) and he had mince pies 2 sml ones very nice with brandy butter.. lovely pastry ..we will be back!!

We had an excellent lunch at the Ivy, the service was excellent, the decor and ambience were just right and classy! The food was very very good, I had the fish and chips and the batter was light and tasty. Don't miss out on the chocolate bomb........ amazing! We will be back!
