The Ivy Cardiff will offer residents, businesses and shoppers a relaxed yet sophisticated dining experience.
Our waiter was amazing even despite him knowing that he may not have a job after tonight due to the coronovirus. He was upbeat and amazing
Bit over the top on decoration not to my taste, outside plastic flowers around doorframe very off putting and cheap looking, as we went in the man on the desk was not friendly at all to the point of being rude .
Worth every penny. The food is fab and the staff are very attentive and will cater to your every need.
We are going to try the afternoon tea next time
Sadly didn’t live up the expectations..
The restaurant is clean, smart and has the wow factor.. service was very good. Food kinda average.. but to priced to high.. didn’t help that it was practically empty.
Great! Everything was beautiful, staff very cautious and clean during this difficult time. I was a tad disappointed that I had specified it was a birthday and this went unnoticed unfortunately.
Over cooked my steak which was annoying for how much I had to pay for it but it was still tasty. Service was a bit slow but staff were friendly. They didn’t tell us they had ran out of the fish and chips when we sat down and were told the specials so then had to re-decide after trying to order it and being informed upon ordering that they’d ran out. A general 6.5/10.
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The Ivy on Monday 16th March. Amazing food, staff couldn’t do enough for us,fast service and generally just an overall awesome evening. It was my 40th Birthday too so they brought around a little cake & candle after our food to celebrate so that was a lovely touch. Will definitely be going back .
Me & a friend came in for breakfast.
Wonderful decor, ambiance , food amazing, service fantastic. A wonderful time. So wonderful to have in cardiff.
Service was excellent and the staff friendly. As we were there for breakfast I hadn't anticipated the cold cardboard like toast - hugely disappointing. Am sure this was a one off.
A lovely evening with friends. The Ivy is beautiful and the food is spectacular.
We had amazing service. The wine was especially nice, although a bit pricey at £40 - a bit of a shock when we had the bill, but we got over it.
Fishcake main course was the best I have ever tasted. Can not wait to return & have it again.
Really excellent food and drinks and great service. It was quite loud, however, which made conversation a little difficult.
Lovely food and surroundings. Staff are wonderful.
It’s annoying they add a 12 percent service charge without even asking . If people want to leave a tip thur should be able to of their own free will
Lovely decor. Food as always was of a great standard. Service was slightly slow, side dish arrived half way through the meal and drinks took a long time to get to the table. But all in all a lovely meal in a great setting and good value for money.
Great food and great service, although I do not appreciate being asked why I am removing the service charge. It is not my responsibility to pay the staffs wages with a service charge, and at the price point of the food here the ivy should be paying their staff well enough to not need a “service charge” if a person has gone beyond the service I expect I will tip personally. At this price for the food that would have to be exceptional service.
Service here is good but nothing overly amazing for the high end chain restaurant.
A lovely experience, great food and lovely service
The restaurant was very busy and the waitress on our table was clearly very rushed whilst others seemed to be strolling around. We also ordered a bottle of Pouilly Fume which arrived at room temperature, it was put in an ice bucket, but as the waitress was busy we had to stop her to get a top up. For the money I would have expected better.
Be very careful with the wine list
Staff lovely, airier than the London Ivy
food was good, staff knew their stuff
Exelent food and service exeptional! Will be back again!
The dining was very cramped and the food average.
Next time would only use the bar.
Fish and chips was soggy. Music and DJ mix was too much for our liking.
A lovely experience from start to finish. Beautiful food, exquisite and professional service. Not cheap, but definitely worth every penny.
Atmosphere and Service excellent.
Food great and would recommend.
It’s an absolute delight, stepping through those doors..food,cocktails..out of this world 👌🏽
Amazing food and very attentive service. Not cheap but quite reasonable for the quality of food and the type of place. Great cocktails too!
Lovely place, to spend a special occasion my daughters 18th birthday, had pre called to see if we could have drinks prior to eating so we could enjoy the surroundings. Was shown to seats waiting about 15 mins not sure weather to go to the bar or wait to be served, I did ask someone in the end she then apologised for keeping us waiting took our order by this time it was time for our table, again unsure if we had to tell them or wait to be collected. Asked another member of staff and they went to get someone who then showed us to our table, it was the brunch menu which was fine did not have starters as did not fancy anything advertised, went straight to main , food lovely but defiantly not worth £212 for 4 mains and three desserts 2 cokes 2 gin and tonics and one rum and coke.
Very loud, very busy, nice one off experience
I felt the ivy was over priced especially on starters and drinks.
I felt the tables were far too close together with no privacy and having to squeeze past other diners to leave my seat.
My meal of chicken millenese did not look like any of the pictures online.
Amazing lunch at the Ivy, met all expectations and excellent service . Already planning my next visit.
School friends are-Union
Food was delicious, service was very good. Setting is gorgeous.
All 5 of us realty enjoyed our Prosecco birthday breakfast
First timers, it was very quiet which was lovely.
Part of my cutlery was unclean but an apology and a clean fork soon arrived.
The food was lovely.
The staff were lovely.
They were a little slow as the morning went on, and I noticed another table as we did having to ask for assistance.
But overall a lovely experience.
Excellent service and attention to detail. Oh, and the food was lovely too
Great food and drinks with exceptional service
Nice food and drink. Attentive service. Reasonably priced given quality of venue. But not our kind of place ie noisy, tables too close together etc.
Great evening, great food and excellent service and would definitely recommend a visit.
Waiting staff were attentive but not over bearing - which is ideal as I dislike being asked if everything is ok, when I have a mouth full of food!!
Food was immaculately presented and very tasty!
Also it was my husband’s birthday, so the miniature cake with a candle that was brought to the table was a nice touch!
Excellent food and wonderful service. A great choice of food and drink. A fabulous antidote to missing the cancelled 6 Nations Rugby match!!
