The Ivy Cardiff
Quite disappointed service was lovely food was average it was the ambience that really let it down booked as a special anniversary but excepted more
A very enjoyable experience for our wedding anniversary.... made even more don't some really excellent cocktails. The food was good too and the service was impeccable.
Amazing food and lovely restaurant. Beautiful decor
Beautiful setting and decor.
Great seafood variety on the mains menu, which is hard to come by. And the food was genuinely delicious. Well worth the ££.
Everyone was fabulous and the food was delicious. Quick lunch with my 10yr old daughter who loves it there.
Went for a birthday celebration. Food was to die for!! Everything was spotlessly clean!! Covid safe. Little free mini Victoria sponge cake with candle given to the birthday girl. We cant wait to go back. Whole experience was faultless!
Very nice , but cannot understand why restaurant charge for service. I prefer to leave a tip at my discretion. Otherwise very nice and will be back
A beautiful lunch in a beautiful setting, food was delicious and wonderful cocktails and wine.
Excellent service and food. Lovely experience. All CV19 protocols handled perfectly.
Couldn’t fault the fantastic food and service. Had a lovely evening at The Ivy.
Really nice anniversary meal for my boyfriend and I. Staff were very kind and the food was great!
the food and the place and service were all excellent
So easy to reserve table on line.
Food very nice but could do with a more extensive menu .
Service very good and overall very satisfactory.
It was a dining experience which my wife and I enjoyed very much. It was her birthday, and it was a special occasion, just to be out in the real world again. Holly, our waitress was superb. Knowledgeable, attentive and charming. A real treasure. However I do feel that the drinks list is overpriced. £39 for a bottle of Prosecco? I understand that wine and spirits provide you with a high percentage of your profit, but much of the wine on the list I feel is personally overpriced. The fact that a bottle of wine is priced over £50 does not mean that it is of high quality, especially if you have never tried it before. We drink wine every day and we have developed a nose and a taste for a good bottle of wine. So to see a bottle on the menu which can be as much as four times the price we would pay outside the Ivy is disappointing. Just my opinion and I am sure that most of your clientele would disagree with me. Of course we could have drunk just water, but that would have not enhanced the dining experience. What it means is that instead of dining every week at The Ivy, we would only visit once or perhaps twice a month, and in the current financial climate that could be very damaging for you.
Very relaxed and easy. Plenty of space and felt safe while enjoying being out
Lovely visit to the ivy
A lovely venue, ambiance and staff.
My only complaint is my scrabbled egg on toast was cooked in oil.. so tasted greasy and not buttery like it’s typically cooked.
This spoilt the breakfast for me. I fed this info back to my waitress when asked.
Over all iv had far better eggs in other places including my own home.
But I would still return for another meal in the future.
Great atmosphere! It felt like we’d been transported to somewhere else for a couple of hours which was nice! Amazing food...particularly liked the pastries which were recommended by the server and which we had before our main food. Well presented and good value. Great staff! Everyone was very helpful, attentive, polite and professional. Food portions were generous so were very good value and everything tasted so good. Can’t wait to go back already!
Always an amazing meal here, coupled with very attentive service and lovely cocktails. What’s not to enjoy!!
The ivy was a lovely experience and I will definitely be returning. It was mine and my boyfriend’s anniversary and the staff made it special from the moment we stepped inside the restaurant. They were attentive and our food came quickly. Our waitress, Ivy, organised a little surprise dessert which said Congratulations on which was a nice touch. We will definitely be returning.
Impeccable service and food was delicious and presented beautifully.
Great ambience, good service. For a party of 5 they were accommodating, alcoholic cocktails available and they were very respectful of our dietary requirements, as well as bringing out a small dessert and candle for my sister's birthday.
All the food was great aside from the lobster linguine which was disappointing for the price.
Excellent service by Sophie H. (gorgeous brown eyes!) Definitely will come back! :)
Wow! What a fantastic experience!!! Highly recommend the ivy Cardiff!
The food was delicious, staff were very helpful and attentive! A great experience and will be booking again!!!
Average food for high price. Like a nice pub meal really.
Second time visiting, fantastic food, service is outstanding and venue is gorgeous. Can’t wait for our next visit.
Fabulous staff and great service. Wine list slightly disappointing but food is special and good value overall. We will be back!
Great food, lovely place, a bit pricey but a nice place for special occasion
Excellent Saturday lunch experience. Food, service and value very good.
Absolutely stunning and amazing food!
Would defiantly recommend it to friends and family!
Outstanding food and service, beautiful restaurant
Beautiful decor, amazing staff who are so helpful. Everything felt very Covid Secure.
Food beautiful, surroundings beautiful and amazing service. Will be coming back
This was my first visit to the Ivy. My daughter had been the week previous. It ticked all the boxes including the covid box. It was as safe as an indoor restaurant experience could be with the option of eating outside under cover. I loved the place.
As we arrived we were asked to sit at the bar as our table was being relayed. As we were waiting at the bar ready to order a drink our table was then ready upstairs. It took our waitress more than 20 minutes to come over and ask us what we wanted to drink. I then think she refused to serve us as a manager kept coming over to serve us. Everyttime I am here it’s always a amazing service but the other night our table just felt left out
The lobster was the smallest portion ever. For £30 it was tiny and not value for money. Much better in Madeira. My steak was gorgeous. The experience was rushed. We ordered and in 2 minutes the food was out, even before I had my drink.same with dessert. We had eaten main and dessert within 35 minutes. I know it’s COVID but was was rushed. Won’t be rushing back!!
They have gone to a lot of trouble to make you feel safe and relaxed which is much appreciated given the pandemic
Would happily go back
Great service from the ivy. The staff were very attentive. The food was first class. I had the steak cooked as like like it. And dessert of sticky toffee pudding was a delight. Recommended
The food, setting, staff & ambiance were wonderful! Was a little surprised as they asked if it was my birthday so I said yes, they brought a small cake to the lady opposite with a candle but I got nothing. Its not that important really, but why ask?
Also the safety aspect with regards to Covid was excellent!
Perfect 5 star service, gorgeous food and very lovely staff. You pay for the quality of food and service.
