Great service, buzzy atmosphere, a bit noisy
Fantastic buzzy restaurant. Really nice to sit at bar with cocktails before dinner. I was given special complementary birthday cake. Really great night out. Thx!
Had a lovely evening with my daughter here, last night. Could not fault anything. Food was first class - I had monkfish and prawn curry and my daughter had Shepherds pie - both were delicious. Chocolate bomb for dessert was heaven. Excellent service - efficient and friendly and gorgeous surroundings and ambience. We would love to return again next time we visit London.
food was great, arrival experience was great.
waiter was not proffesional, "pushed" to order main courses due to "table booking having just 1h 45min ". when he brought our main courses, he started to ignore our table paying attention to nearby customers.
This ruined our experience. selective service i would say- would not go back as would not want to ne served with same person again.
im lucky it was not a special occasion.
Food outstanding, the monkfish curry never fails to deliver.
Vladimir our waiter was very professional and attentative without being overbearing. Thanks Vladimir!
Service superb, we enjoyed the food we had, well presented.
Lovely atmosphere and surroundings. Lush greenery.
Very good value
We were celebrating my partner’s birthday and the Ivy made it a very special occasion. I booked the garden seating which was lovely, full of plants, warm temperature and very friendly staff. We would definitely visit again.
The Ivy is an unforgettable experience, the sort of place you don’t want to leave. Had a special lunch with my granddaughter who is 13 and she loved it too. Such a spectacular setting and the service and attention to detail could not be faulted.
Disappointing … have visited this Ivy many times - all great experiences. This visit was spoiled by very patchy service and being very obviously rushed through our lunch - the mains were brought out before we’d even finished starters, plates whisked away and mains put straight onto the table. Not good.
Buzzy atmosphere, but fortunately not too loud (unlike the front and middle sections). Attentive service and excellent food
Great experience! Would go again & recommend to family and friends!
Food was delicious.
To have two people managing the same table created some confusion and stress for ordering.
The old black cod was better even this one is good. ( would love a bit more sauce)
After giving us the wrong bill 4 times , our waiter was rude and never apologised. Instead he strutted away like a teenager in a huff.
It felt like we had a timer on our table. We knew that tables rotate every 145 to 2 hours everywhere but I can’t believe how we were chased out and reminded every 5 mins (literally) that we have another 40, then 30, then 20 mins left. We left in an hour not ordering any mains.
Everything was up to the Ivy standard..new chicken liver parfait wonderful..Alan
The ambiance and decor is perfect. Lovely buzz of people having a lovely time. Great service. We had the Summer Garden afternoon tea which was lovely. My only personal preference would be to have a little more savory with it. The dessert part was beautifully presented but I had had enough sweet treats so had to leave it which was a shame.
Great food and great service!
A very nice, relaxed lunch. Cream tea would also be nice and looked reasonably priced.
Always brilliant with great service, reasonable prices and delicious food
Completely fabulous, very busy, however we would have preferred not to have sat in the garden in the cold weather
As ever excellent...made so welcome excellent service excellent food
Our waiter was fantastic, attentive and engaging.
I've been several times to this Ivy and always enjoyed it. Service was very iffy this time. White wine in glasses without a stem and red in long stemmed glasses - surely not. Will go again just a bit disappointed with my curry, difficult to find any fish and certainly only 2 small prawns, though the cheese souffle was gorgeous.
Service was quick and attentive.
Very enjoyable lunch.
Absolutely Loved it the food was outstanding and the service was amazing the waiters were so friendly
Lovely dining experience, food was of a good quality and the service was on the whole very attentive
Great atmosphere as usual, very good customer service.
Although at the start the staff were very attentive, at times their manner did come across as rude. The service became slower as the evening went on, we waited half an hour for our mains to be collected and as a result our desire for dessert vanished. The cocktails were gorgeous, as was the cote de boeuf. However the chips, creamed spinach and fillet steak could have been better.
Very pretty restaurant - I think a little understaffed .
We went to celebrate my daughter's birthday with family friends and we all had a lovely time and a good experience. Everyone's food was delicious especially the Black Cod and the chocolate bomb for dessert is always a huge success. The staff that waited on us were very attentive, friendly and brought our drinks and food promptly. The even brough my daughter a small pastry cake with a candle which was a surprise to all of us. Nice touch Ivy. We were very happy and will return soon.
Lovely venue , good food and very attentive staff. I have been there 3 times now and it has been very good each time.
Took forever to order food asked for water multiple times, food was warm.
Lovely setting though and dress code was a relaxed smart casual so that was nice, they also brought my daughter who was celebrating her birthday a slice of cake with a candle that was a lovely gesture, would I go back yes.
Lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere! Delicious food and perfect for a special occasion
Excellent service and food as always. Comfortable surroundings but not stuffy.
We visited for my husband’s belated birthday, On a recommendation, we had the Ivy burger amazing and so filling, my husband had the chocolate bomb amazing, everyone made us so welcome and everyone was so lovely. Thank you
Great food and ambience in The garden but the Service needs to be improved. It’s slow and a little chaotic feeling with lots of waiters walking around but not really looking and checking the tables etc/being perceptive.
I’d suggest better training for them! But otherwise always a pleasant place to have lunch
Fantastic food and cocktails. Great service.
The service was outstanding. The girls looking after us in the garden were brilliant. My husband and I were celebrating our 52nd wedding anniversary and we were surprised to receive a cake with Happy Anniversary. A lovely touch
We had a really lovely time. It was our 25th Anniversary and so many of the staff congratulated us. They were efficient, friendly and helpful. The food was really delicious and the atmosphere was great. We sat in the garden which is delightful. Highly recommend it.
