   Just arrived in London with our family. Looked forward to The Ivy. Great ambience, good food, awful service. Our drinks came 40 minutes after order, wine after our meal started, entree quantities wrong. Just understaffed and arrogant. You can be arrogant if your excellent, but not this visit.

   Service was too slow, we waited an hour before getting our main course. Objected to having to pay a service charge beforehand for our drinks at the bar. Did like our table on this visit - in walkway of everyone

   We were seated in the main area of the restaurant when we arrived. It was unpleasantly noisy and I couldn't hear my friend speak. The service was also very poor here, we waited for ages for our drinks. I asked if we could move to another table and we were taken to the garden area, which was like moving into paradise! Service was so much better here aswell, food was good and we were happy.

   The lady at the entrance was the most rude , mean and with no social skills at all. That’s the main reason of my review. The size of the dishes are smaller each time … But it’s a beautiful place and we know that.

   After being seated at a beautiful table in the garden, we waited 1 hour 40 mins to have bread bought to the table. Nearly 2 hours to have our main course (we were not having starters. Our quick work lunch took 2.5 hours. The food when it arrived, was luke warm. The waiter apologised for the very bad service telling us it was his Manger's first day, and he was trying to do his best. Terrible service and near cold food. The lunch should have been free but not a cent was discounted on the bill.

   We ate outside in the garden area and it was wonderful. The waitstaff was a bit unorganized which resulted in some confusion fir which table gets which food. Otherwise, food and drinks were amazing! Highly recommend

    We've been to some Ivy restaurants before always leaving happy, but yesterday at Chelsea's garden restaurant it wasn't the same case. The service was okay, food didn't take long and there wasn't something wrong, but when we got the desert menu we were looking for a waiter to pass by for a good 10-15 minutes. Also I had a special request when I booked in advance since it was our 4 year anniversary but the completely ignored my request.

    Our table of 6 was crammed right at the entrance of the garden with a lot of people walking by so didn't feel special nor private. I had pre-ordered a birthday cake for the table, so was surprised when they handed dessert menu and I had to point out that a cake had been ordered. It spoilt the surprise to our friend. The food however can't be faulted, nor the pricing - the setting in the garden is beautiful I just wished they spaced tables more. There were a lot of waiters but no consistency is who was serving us, which resulted in us being asked several times if we had ordered drinks etc.

    Extremely disappointing, possibly the most overrated restaurant i have ever visited. Like a motorway service canteen, but with flowers. An hour to take our order, very poor service, the waiters and staff have a knack of avoiding eye contact, and ignoring requests.

    Quite disappointed by the service. They kept us waiting for half an hour and then food arrived before the drinks... my friend had dietary restrictions and they didn't have any vegan / gluten free option. They did adjust her order but with much difficulty and she got a side salad uncut and with no dressing - we had to ask. They did fix it at the end but it all felt off-putting. The place is amazing, they should pay much more attention to service. I would also recommend to have dietary options available - they should keep up with the high quality standards they praise.

    The service was impeccable, as was the ambience. Would not hesitate to return or recommend. A breakfast/brunch highlight during our stay in London. The Benedict was a hit.

    The waiter was not pleasant, food was clearly not as good as in the past, being a loyal customer. The steak was well done, despite asking it for medium, and the rest of the food was average.

    I booked a table 6 weeks in advance and asked if we could have a table near the conservatory away from the main bar. Upon arrival we were told all tables in and around the conservatory area were fully booked. Noticing that there were half a dozen table empty tables we asked the question if we could relocate, as we arrived for early dinner, 5pm, during transition time, after 30mins of waiting we were eventually relocated. Thank you to the manger for arranging this, as front of house weren’t accommodating at all.

    Very nice and complete afternoon tea. We had the 'summer afternoon tea' option, which was largely abundant for its price - we barely were able to finish all the pastries! If I had to say something, I would add more savoury choices rather than so many sweet pastries, but overall it was excellent. I definitely recommend it!

    Sat at the bar for 15 minutes as they did not have a table ready at 2:00 pm for our 2:00 pm reservation. They had said “just a couple of minutes.” We had to ask to be seated. Obviously they just forgot about us. We had received a note from the Ivy before we arrived that they would not hold our table if we were late. Very insulting to keep us waiting when we on time. Then they asked if we had a reservation and the name! I was waiting for the manager to say that we were late and they couldn’t hold the table . . . but we were then seated in the garden with an apology. Food and service was fabulous when handed over to the wait staff.

    1st time in the Ivy for breakfast. Food was beautiful as always but this time, the service was poor. Waited a long time for our order to be taken, even though there was more than ample staff. Kitchen forgot to put mushrooms on my breakfast, dissapointed this time.

    Exceptional as always. In going to this restaurant you are always guaranteed fabulous food, attentive staff, value for money and a real buzz. This restaurant is a well oiled organised establishment that never fails to deliver & I say this a frequent attendee. They often add a little touch for special occasions which always delights guests we bring.

    Took two friends for a birthday present. Left embarrassed by the lack of service and attention we received. Also shocked to have spent over £100 on 3 mediocre cream teas and 3 glasses of fizz Won’t be taking anyone back and definitely won’t recommend. Should have gone to the bluebird!

    One of my favourite and go to Ivy restaurants but sadly this time it wasn’t the best experience. The courtyard is now covered which makes it very dark, almost jungle like and it’s overcrowded with tables. I wasn’t able to push my pram through the customers dining nor was I comfortable enough to enjoy my meal with the pram and highchair literally on top of me. The staff were completely overwhelmed and I assume this resulted in us complaining about our food, which was cold/burnt/salty. They were also unable to stay on top of orders and our wine top up etc.
