What a wonderful evening!
Excellent service, beautiful ambience and delicious food!
Would definitely recommend.
Excellent food. However, I did expect better service. The waiter we had was very pleasant and smiley, we loved him but he was under too much pressure. We had to wait far too long for drinks and any attention from a waiter. The head waiter for our area seemed grumpy and under a lot of pressure. For this reason I wouldn’t hurry back
I’ve had the luxury of being seat in the garden. Absolutely outstanding, beautiful and elegant. Great atmosphere and I’ve only been for afternoon tea, delicious and staff very polite pleasant and friendly
Excellent in every way an extremely enjoyable lunch with my daughter.
Loverly setting. Great service and food. Will definetly return
Outdoor seating in the garden with large umbrella outside, semi-outdoor seating in covered conservatory outside with retractable roof but some sunnier patches due to windows, indoor seating completely shaded.
I love the decor here - colourful jungle with parrotts, and pot plants around. Fairly bohemian in style. White tablecloths/napkins, etc. Loos downstairs. Service attentive.
Both my friend and I are fussy eaters. I am fishatarian, and had a very tasty vegetarian halloumi dish. My friend is allergic to gluten and garlic, and was still able to find something to eat. Waiter was very helpful on this score, running back and forward to the kitchen to check.
Good experience - I would definitely go again.
We love the Ivy but the service was not great! We kept having to ask for our white wine to be served and the waitress asked us where it was and we figured that was something she should know!
Tthe food was excellent as in all the locations we have been to.
However it was extremely noisy and very very uncomfortably hot. In fact could not wait to leave. Cut our meal short did not have dessert or extra drinks.
Just before leaving a couple arrived at another table, instantly complained about the heat and instantly a fan was provided for them. This was plugged in under my bench seat with trailing wire to their table. Not exactly the right thing to do with diners walking around not to mention staff with hot food.
I have dined several times at Ivy Chelsea gardens before. Yesterday I had dinner there with my husband to celebrate my birthday. Food and service was very disappointing!
Very consistant good food. Very pleasant embiance
This is such a beautiful environment couldn’t fault anything
We loved The Ivy! Food and service was excellent
It was good but I was expecting something a tad extra as it was a birthday booking.
Beautiful venue, great food, service good but a little stiff. Great experience overall.
Poor service but understand the huge shortage of staff. Food not hot which was a shame.
Very pleasant and nice atmosphere
dreadful. my children were served and our meal was forgotten. we ate 1 hour after our children. a total mess front of house and in the kitchen.
Book for my 50th Birthday and my daughters 20th. No mention of this when we turned up but added this on the notes when booked.
Booked table for 15:30 but had to sit and wait 30mims with no one coming over to take our drinks order.
Eventually sat down but was given a table where the traffic of people was very busy and had people constantly knocking the back of my chair. Foods was fine but the service was very slow and had to keep asking about the order. Irish coffee was served cold and would probably not recommend to friends and family.
Service was terrible, they appeared to be short staffed in the section we were sat in but lots of staff around by the bar area. At one point it looked like 20 staff by the bar and an altercation between staff occurred. It was absolutely chaotic. Our waiter was rude, probably because he was rushed off his feet. Our drinks didn’t arrive as our ticket was lost, we had to chase up for everything. Couldn’t wait to leave. Will not return which is such a shame as have previously enjoyed good food and service here. Service at a place like this should be seamless and the customer should be unaware of the chaos behind the scenes. Not the case here!!
Very poor service received yesterday for what should have been a special occasion. Front of house forgot to seat us after check in. Waiting staff needed constant needed reminder that we had booked an afternoon tea (had to book at 3.15pm for afternoon tea for no apparent reason? surely you get the same food and service if you go for afternoon tea at 1pm? confusing as this was a full price tea not a discounted voucher..) front of house staff in the floral blazers look unhappy to be at work and appeared unapproachable.
Waited 45 minutes since we were seated to get our tea (the first drink, not the food!)
Overall, overwhelmingly understaffed - expected more from the Ivy...
Mains didn’t arrive after 1:15 hours, we asked to cancel and left
Love the service we will definitely see you again The Ivy Chelsea Garden..👍🏽🙏🏽🤎
Poor service. Waiter was very rude and we had to keep calling in order to need something. We even had a few items added on our bill which we never ordered! My dessert was not as described on the menu. Very disappointed.
The food is always exceptional at the ivy but on a busy Sunday the service is not what I have been used to. Not as attentive, polite nor engaged as we have been used to when visiting other Restaurants. They were busy but we didn’t enjoy the experience.
We had to wait for about 50 mins for first course but staff were very nice and offered us desert on the house
Service was incredibly slow. Aesthetics is great with a stunning garden, food was nice and good value just a shame they were so slow. We’ve been to other Ivy’s where the service has always been impeccable.
Great buzz with great food. The service was excellent and the staff in general very helpful. Would thoroughly recommend.
I ordered a gluten free burger very disappointed it came between two slices of gluten free toast. Didn’t look nice at all. Gluten free brioche rolls are readily available to buy in most supermarkets so no excuse really
Was not impressed
Beautiful atmosphere and food, lovely server. Bathroom visit is a must the decor is fab
Quite overpriced for what it is, everything is an option, service was really poor, they keep forgetting stuff or deliver wrong meals. Atmosphere is good, good decoration but very noisy.
The food was really good and we enjoyed the chocolate bomb a lot but unfortunately the service was very poor which took away from the experience
My steak was supposed to be medium rare it came out blue, the service was awful, manager forgot to give us our drinks but then charged us for them anyway, 30 minute wait for a drink. Will not return
I think Ivy Chelsea Garden is a very special experience. The decor is beautiful and i find it superior to other Ivy restaurants due to the location, lush gardens and atmosphere.
I enjoy the fact that I never feel rushed when I visit. The food is to a high enough standard without paying an obscene amount of money. I have grown tired of certain high end Mayfair restaurants stipulating a two hour window for the table, adhering to it rigidly, whilst charging eye watering prices.
There was a new Ivy menu which was a pleasant surprise and as a group we were all very happy with our food.
I can highly recommend.
We had a good dinner. It has a very nice ambient and good food.
Waited 45 minutes to even get seen at the door! No one even came to check what time everyone’s reservations were. You were told to wait.. like as if it were a privilege to have a reservation in the first place. I’ve come here loads of times… I will very much re think about booking again
Incredible ambiance and environment
Exceptional effort on the decor
The experience of service was a 0. Utterly underwhelming and exceptionally impersonal. We sat for 50 minutes waiting to be served, when we finally asked we had several servers and none had communicated with one another. We refused to let the bad service ruin our experience as we hadn’t seen one another for 2 years but we were shocked at how little attention was paid to our customer experience.
Delicious afternoon tea, great surroundings but the service was shocking even when we raised concerns that we felt ignored. No one apologised and we sat from 3:20 until 6:45 with terrible, inattentive service. So sad as it has everything going for it if only the staff cared and communicated with one another.
Unfortunately if you have allergies Or dietary requirements I would avoid the Ivy Chelsea. I specified on the booking we were getting afternoon tea for 1 vegetarian and one nut/ fish free for Allergies. It all came touching, the tea showed up at the end of the meal when we had already eaten and I didn’t get to eat mine as it came contaminated. I would not go back again, it seems like people just like it for pictures. Not to mention the staff were not attentive at all I had to keep reminding them we needed tea for afternoon tea and they brought it 20 minutes after everything else. Immensely disappointed that I payed £70 and still had to buy food after since they ignored my allergies
Superb as always from start to finish. Although incredibly busy the service was immaculate, our waiter Vladimir
was excellent. The Ivy Chelsea never disappoints and can’t wait to come back soon.
