It is always pleasure to eat at the Ivy, the buzz is fun and the food and drink are great.
Beautiful area to dine in, with great service from staff. Food also excellent.
Delicious food and wonderful seating in garden terrace. Extremely good and attentive service, a perfect lunch!
Had a great night the food was good and the table in the garden was perfect
Ian and the other waiter that served our table was brilliant. First class . Thoroughly recommend and can’t wait to go back.
We sat outisde in the garden bit, which is super nice with lots of plants and trees. There are heaters, but wouldn't sit there in the winter - it was just fine now in October. The waitors are all really nice and food is yummy and afforable for what it is, great for a "nicer" lunch with friends, family or colleagues.
Had to keep asking for service.Waitress seemed to oblivious that we were there. Had to ask three times for service
Fantastic breakfast, really delicious and great coffee, they even brought a complimentary sharing desert with a candle in it for my daughter’s birthday,
Thank you so much
Lovely friendly staff who kept smiling even though the restaurant was extremely busy. Great food and a lovely setting.
A favourite restaurant of mine and a local venue which provides top class dining with a great atmosphere. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful although sometimes the service can be very slow, mainly because it is so busy.
Not good. We had an hours wait between 1st and 2nd course. Not explanations or apologies until we complained. They did reduce the bill and give a glass of champagne. But it was too late. Also forgot that one of us needed to be gluten free at the desserts.
It was very hard to catch the attention of the waitresses. The food was ok but not wow. I’ve been there multiple times but this time was a disappointment.
We eat here a lot but on this occasion the food was a bit underwhelming- my husband had the curry and it was tasty but had a lot of hard grisly bits of duck in there which were inedible. We also had the fish and chips, the fish was greasy and more batter than fish. Hate to moan and hopefully this is only a once off.
Second time here. Don't live in London so can't come regularly. Nice place well run, good food, albeit a tad pricey for what it is! Great selection of wines and cocktails etc. Overall I definitely would recommend a visit. The terrace room is airy but comfortable with an open fire setting a nice scene.
Made a reservation for afternoon tea…the terrace room is lovely and cozy - and the Alice in Wonderland themed tea was as delicious as it was pretty!
Makes lunch special. Delicious food with menu to suit all palates. Attentive service. We had two starters rather than starter and main - thoroughly enjoyable lunch
Very disappointing experience at the Ivy. The service was dreadful, so many staff for so few customers and yet nobody seemed to know what they were doing. I was brought coffee with no cup and asked 3 different staff and yet nobody brought one, I ended up walking to the bar and asking for one and when it eventually arrived my coffee was cold and there was no apology. Our sparkling water was effectively dumped in the table with our eggs without a single word from the waitress who then walked off as I tried to ask a question. Our mini pastry took 40 minutes to arrive after 2 requests for them and they were raw on the inside. The staff were dismissive and it felt like it was too much of a hassle to serve us. I have been so many times as I live locally and this was just ridiculous. We did note a number of other customers did complain aswel.
The waiter forgot to put in our entree order so we didn’t get our food until almost 2 hours after.
Food was amazing but the service was really poor. We arrived 4.30 pm and we did wait an hour to be served an afternoon tea.
We were served the tea first which became really cold at the time we had our food.
The manager was not taking care of us and when my friend was going to the ladies he just stopped her to ask where she was going without being very nice.
Staff were so accommodating and food was good with quick service, had the table for a good amount of time and didn’t feel rushed. Calamari was over cooked however everything else was lovely
Loved that as always, food is lovely, high-quality service
Great afternoon tea but the atmosphere was a bit loud and almost hard to have a conversation with the person across from you because of the noise. But overall it was very good.
The female toilets were disgusting! We informed an acting manager. Really dirty and seats not fitting properly. Such a beautiful place, spoilt by the toilets!
Lovely garden. Great a la Carte menu - something for everyone. Beautiful flowers and decor.
The staff should be more friendly, the seem to walk around like they are very entitled, also the blazers the girls wear are horrid.
Visited last Sunday as family with my parents from Italy; the restaurant itself is spectacular; the decor, the furnishings, even the toilets, really make you feel like you're somewhere special.
All of the waiting staff were amazing. They were friendly and available without being too intrusive. They were attentive, and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. The service was first class. Fabulous lunch! Our first time at The Ivy Chelsea Garden, we will definitely be back!
Great venue for any special occassion. Good food and perfect ambience
Everything about The Ivy Chelsea Garden was amazing from start to finish. The staff were all fabulous attentive and what you would expect from this venue. The food was so tasteful compliments to the Chef’s …. Couldn’t fault it! 5 stars
Very good service and food was great !!!
I booked my table a weak earlier but when I arrived they put us outside far at the back in the cold some table had heather but our table didn’t. They even refused us to seat on the table next to us which had heather, claiming it’s already booked but no one came to that table during our dining. They refused us to go inside when they could see we were very cold. I ordered apple tartine with calvados but with sorbet instead of ice cream. Waiter poured calvados on the tartine without setting fire to it so the desert was very soggy with overwhelming alcohol taste..
they ignored my instructions for the birthday message too. They charged us separate desert for the one scoop of the sorbet.. we left the restaurant feeling very cold and bad taste on our throat.. I hope I didn’t catch a cold as I would get in touch with them.👎
Very lovely scenery and excellent table service. Will be returning
Lovely atmosphere, food was amazing. The waiters have an incredible attention to details and are very attentive.
We really enjoyed the night and will definitely be back.
A great time but if booking in the garden, ask to go a bit closer in to feel the lovely buzz of diners. For a very busy Saturday the service & food were excellent .Thank you Ian.
Fabulous place! Staff so welcoming & decor is lovely.. Always enjoyed eating there
Disappointing food and the service wasn’t up to scratch either. Would not go again
There is so much I could say about this place!
We booked for breakfast and what a fantastic start to the day. The ambiance was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff were quite simply awesome.
Amazing waiting service. We had two under three in our party and they were excellent at suggesting how to make the food appropriate (things like I will make sure food it separated out for you so she can choose to I think the coconut on top might be a bit tough). It was so lovely. The staff as a whole were great at welcoming us as a family which made it a lovely special time as we celebrated a much loved Cha Chi and Uncle's birthdays.
Great food and service. Beautiful place, like that the tables were not so close to one another.
The Ivy Chelsea was just as expected.
Finely finished, pleasant staff and good service.
The food was of good portion sizes and was not overly priced.
Service was mannerly, with a smile and well run.
I would happily return.
