Very good place for breakfast
Tried the suggestion of the day, linguine with crab, it was excellent. As the day was beautiful, we were lucky to be in the garden outside, so the noise level was fine.
Service was prompt and professional.
Unexpectedly told to leave.
A most enjoyable evening. Matthew's service was exceptionally good.
The occasion was to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the choice of venue did not let us down. I won't describe it, other than to say go and you will be delighted with what you see. Elegant and relaxed, sophisticated and charming, lovely service and delicious food, all beautifully presented. As for the courtyard garden, I felt as if I had been transported to the mediterranean somewhere!
Overall very good experience, food was delicious, very nice atmosphere with attentive staff, I recommend to anyone to experience
Great place, however always difficult to get a t able outdoors
Took my sister out for her birthday meal, called ahead to advise them of they were very helpful, I really recommend them everything was perfect the level of service was amazing the place was fairly busy but they made us feel as if we were the only ones there, food was perfect and didn’t have to wait to long for anything our waiter tomaz was very helpful and attentive, will be going back for sure.
The Ivy Chelsea never lets me down. The service is outstanding and our waitress was amazing. Love that they remember everything! It's always so comfortable and reliable whether it's a business or social occasion. Just wish the Duck salad was more consistent in ingredients - it changes and sometimes is better than other times.
Gorgeous for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Fantastic service and food was all fantastic. Lovely atmosphere and great location right in the centre of King Street. Thought prices were good considering for London.
Great atmosphere, ambience, service and food. I will go again
Really nice food, service and venue. Had a great time.
We love the ambience and it's a great experience for us!
Impossible to beat in London. Our absolute favourite restaurant.
Food was awful but ROSA made our whole experience exceptional by quickly sorting out our complaint. Honestly the best service ever from her
Terrible experience, the food was overcooked. Service was very slow and unapologetic, we had to wait 40 minutes before removing our first drinks. Had to send food back and we don’t normally complain, but this was terrible
Beautiful decor, relaxed atmosphere, excellent service.
We will return!
We had to wait for our table for 25 mins while looking at other couples being seated in less than 2-3 mins. The hostesses were condescending. The food in Ivy used to be really good, it had deteriorated over the years and now it is very disappointing, especially for the price tag. Tuna tataki was of room temperature and not enjoyable, the duck in the duck salad was completely dry, mozzarella was gone off - we had to send it back. Not tasty at all, not enjoyable. The only thing left in this place is the ambiance, but even so not coming back to this place until they rethink their attitude and food.
Another lovely meal at Ivy Chelsea Garden. They dealt with the Covid safe matters well. Great food, and actually very good value. Friendly good service as ever.
Just a shame we live the other side of London and can't go more often!
We went for a Sunday brunch on a beautiful sunny morning. Our table in the conservatory in the garden was perfect Everybody was very helpful, efficient and polite. We were not rushed and could enjoy ourselves. The restaurant was busy and there was a good choice of dishes at a reasonable price.
We had a very pleasant Sunday morning breakfast, couldn’t fault it 😊
Food was excellent. Service was excellent and good cocktails.
My overall experience in the restaurant was lovely, the food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and kind. Really recommend
We enjoyed our evening. However, due to traffic we arrived 20 minutes late but I had confirmed the table earlier...the girl at the door informed us that our table had been released! We did manage to get another table... salmon dish had to be sent back!
Good range of vegan starters. If you don't like sweet potato you're stuck in-terms of mains.
Waiter didn't have a great grasp of the wine list.
Such a beautiful restaurant...the ambience is wonderful and everything is the best.
Another great dining experience at the ivy great food great service OUTSTANDING
Beautiful restaurant, perfect ambiance. Went with my boyfriend and had an amazing time. Only thing I have to say is the batter on my fish wasn’t crispy and quite stodgy so couldn’t eat it! Other than that, everything else was lovely.
The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly
Quick service, nice cocktails. A lot of soy sauce on the tuna carpaccio but the ribeye was good. Tiramisu could’ve done with a touch more booze but that probably just my unrefined palate!
Great service, atmosphere and the food was delicious. Lovely cosy dinner.
It was just wonderful from moment you stepped in the door, beautiful restaurant, we sat in the garden, was magical, with the candles and fountain, service was brilliant and so was the food and wine.
They forgot to serve one main dish of four. They appologise but thediner was not perfect. Evrrything else was nice. The waiters didn’t wear a mask.
I was not happy with that.
Great food and impeccable service as always, would recommend the crème brulee, its divine
The Ivy has been a long standing favourite, so it was disappointing that this particular experience was rather average. The occasion was my friend's birthday and we booked a table for the afternoon tea. Upon arrival we were informed that they no longer did teas as it's not economical due to Covid but it would have been helpful had this information been on their website. The restaurant managed to accommodate the request for a garden table which was very much appreciated and was lovely. The food was ok but not exceptional - the pesto in mozzarella salad was on the salty side and the toasted brioche with duck liver parfait was just too greasy. The service was patchy - the initial greeting was great, as always, but table service less so. The waiter tried to upsell several times and looked annoyed and disinterested when we didn't go with it. The service was very slow for basic dishes and no attention (e.g. to pour water or take payment). The restaurant was busy, so this might have been part of the reason but we definitely had much better experience before.
We had great service and felt socially safe, obviously booked well in advance
The food was excellent and the service was great. I can definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone
It was a great experience, visited for my birthday and was presented with a lovely complementary dessert. Also I loved the grilled chicken salad with watermelon, amazing food. will definitely visit again :)
I was a regular at the ivy chelsea garden but upon my last visit last weakened i had a terrible experience that i will not go again. The staff were quite unprofessional and we were getting mixed.messages when asked of we can sit outdoors as the weather was nice and we arrived right as the garden was about to open and there were plenty of tables available. The staff were rude, unprofessional and when promoted for answers they simply reply we have rules because of covid. Am not sure how sitting in the garden
I have mixed feelings on my recent dining experiences at Ivy Chelsea Garden. The ladies at the front desk come across as incredibly aloof and uninterested in giving anyone a warm welcome to the restaurant, and despite there being a big team of them in red dresses and white jackets, they keep diners waiting to be checked in and escorted into the restaurant with no apology or smile.
On the other hand, the waiter that we had at the table was incredibly charming and helpful, particularly when I informed him that my ham and cheese omelette didn't appear to contain any cheese. Unfortunately the second replacement portion didn't appear to contain any cheese either... but by the time it arrived my companion had almost finished her food, so I didn't want to complain again.
After our plates were cleared, no-one came to our table to ask us if we wanted anything else (or even to pay) so we stayed chatting. Perhaps half and hour later, an officious lady came up to us and told us we needed to leave because we had reached the 2 hour limit for the table, and handed us a bill. We were happy to pay and leave immediately, but I resented her rude tone (particularly in a restaurant such as the Ivy which prides itself on service and ambience) given that no waiting staff had been near us since clearing our plates.
This has happened to me at the Ivy on more than one occasion - I can't help but feel that service should be better managed (i.e. more attentive to customers) if the restaurant needs to ensure a rapid turnover, to avoid these rude requests to leave at the end of the meal, which rather leave a sour taste in one's mouth.
