The Ivy City Garden
The Ivy Collection’s first site in the City of London features an all-day-dining menu, private dining room, and hidden garden offering a tranquil al fresco escape from the hustle and bustle of the Square Mile. The restaurant boasts a summer water fountain, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows opening onto a hidden garden with its own bar. The Ivy City Garden’s outdoor space has a retractable roof, allowing diners to enjoy the garden all year-round.
Guests are also be able to enjoy our resident DJ; hitting the decks Friday from 6pm to close, all day Saturday and Sunday brunch.
Like always city garden didn’t disappoint. It’s my fave spot for a special occasions. We were seated in the garden area overlooking the whole place buzzing. It’s always busy there so make sure you have a booking. Vegetarian menu is very extensive, my mum has a roasted salmon and was delicious. The house champagne is worth the price. Overall, the best place in the city for any special occasion. Staff is so friendly and food delicious !!
Popped in for a quick breakfast at 9am Monday morning, before a meeting. Wasn’t busy but staff were still attentive and friendly. Service was great and good was served quickly. Would certainly go again
It wasn’t bad.
I have visited a couple of these restaurants and they never fail to impress. You can go all out on a meal or pop in for a quick bite. Would recommend The Ivy every time - eggs benedict are to die for and the fish cake on minted pea mash is lovely. If you haven’t been, give it a try!
Had a great time as usual at The Ivy, only thing I wasn’t keen was where we were seated it was at the back in the greenhouse part and it was very quiet, though some people might like that.
But overall a great nice!
Had a lovely evening , great service, good food. Definitely will return
I was disappointed with our visit to The Ivy City Garden, we were seated in the garden area that was closed off in the evening, the chairs were plastic and it was not very warm in that area. Most of the food was good, however there was a hair in my lobster linguine... Would not expect this from The Ivy. The manager did offer me another meal for free, however I was then eating well after everyone else had finished at the table. We felt rushed by the staff, being reminded that we had to give up out table in half an hour, even though you are told when you book you get two hours so I was well aware of this.
My and my fiancee really enjoyed our evening an absolutly lovely restuarant
Another nice evening at the Ivy City garden. Nice atmosphere and busy enough for Saturday night. Food was good we had tempura prawns to start and then black cod for mains. Our waiter was very good and attentive. Decent value for a London restaurant of its stature to.
We will be back again soon.
The food was as good as always and the service was perfect
I use the Ivy City Garden regularly and have visited twice in recent weeks. Unfortunately they seem to cramming more tables in and it’s reflecting in the service. I had to repeat requests to the waitress which is disappointing. The food on this occasion whilst of a good standard was sadly a little cold.
This was my first visit and I was meeting some friends there who I hadn't seen for over a decade, so I was hoping the place would be suitably impressive, as it was me who had organised it. The Ivy City Garden didn't disappoint - excellent, attentive service; a really buzzy atmosphere but not too noisy so that we couldn't hear each other; food was really good (try the Chocolate Bombe pud - it's absolutely stunning) and a great choice of wines. It was lunch time and none of us were drinking much, but the bottle of red wine we ordered at £24 was delicious. I had expected that we would only have a set amount of time at our table, as the restaurant was busy, but we weren't rushed at all, and when the bill arrived we all thought that it was good value for money. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and I really hope to go back there again soon as it was a very enjoyable experience.
Beautiful restaurant, the staff by the front door were incredibly welcoming and kind, unfortunately this is where the kindness stopped. Once seated, we were greeted by an incredibly rude waitress who scoffed and looked down on all four of our party throughout the ordering process. If you come to this restaurant be prepared to have a poorly presented, unfinished meal. For a £23 steak you will get, a slab of meat and lambs lettuce, nothing else. Would not recommend.
The food was of very good quality, which is expected from the Ivy group. However, certain bits and pieces made the experience sub-par compared to the Ivy restaurants around covent garden. We went there on a Friday night and we were given a table right next to the door despite the fact that I had made a reservation sometime ago and I accepted a nicer spot. My real problem was that the place was extremely loud. The place was packed with people from the offices around the bloc. Most of them were tispy to drunk around 9 and the noise was kind of suffocating. I do not mind a buzzing environment but i think that was kind of over the top. The second really frustrating thing had to do with the flow of our order. We ordered two main, two sides and drinks and they all arrived within 15 minutes from our order! It felt kind of rushed and we ended up finishing our dinner in less than an hour. i would appreciate a more relaxed approach! After all, it was a dinner on a Friday; I did not come in expecting the service I would get during lunchtime mid-week. I appreciate all the above might sound a bit "too-much", yet with the pricing and the quality that they offer I think some attention to such details is much required.
Fantastic evening great recommendation by boss will be back service and food excellent
Food was phenomenal. Really amazing food. We had vegan and vegetarian food and were very well catered for.
The service was the best we’ve had. Our drinks were never empty and were frequent to come over and ensure that we were happy.
Was noisy but that’s no issue at all. The decoration and interior was wonderful.
Very happy and will return
There was a bit lack of the service speed, we been waiting for the bill for over 20mins. But overall it was very nice dinner, great food and drinks. We had great time. Thanks.
Good quality bistro food, lacked some more fine dining options.
Good service, lovely venue, reasonably priced.
All in an enjoyable experience and I would go back.
We had lunch here midweek which was very good overall. Food and wine was excellent. The only negative points I would make was that the service was too good! We felt rushed to order. Wine glasses were filled up too quickly, and waiter constantly hovered at our table. We all felt a bit pressurised. I know there is a two hour sitting time which we had to adhere to. But there were lots of empty tables which could have been used for later guests. In any event
we left within the two hour slot. The only negative point I would make, is that the restaurant is very noisy, making it difficult to hear each other speak at times. However overall, this is an excellent restaurant with excellent food.
The tables were too close together. The couple on the adjacent table were particularly loud and in attempting to have a quiet business breakfast, we were reduced to having to speak louder to rise above the noise.
A disappointing costly experience
My steak was served cold.Although everything else was cooked well.I should have returned the steak but was hungry and had started eating
Lovely airy decor, buzzy atmosphere, attentive service and delicious food - couldn’t fault it.
Great experience, food & service. Really great ambient, Recommended!
Superb place for a business lunch, food and service exceptional!
Great cocktails Sebastian and attentive service from Marcus. Thank you.
Magical day service outstanding food beautiful!! Beef tartare exquisitely sumptuous 👏👏
I had a very lovely work lunch here with 3 colleagues. The menu is varied and the food quality is fairly good. It is a lovely venue and overall we were pleasantly surprised by how good the experience was. The only downside was that staff member who served us was a bit rude and in general the staff rushed us a bit but they backed off when we explained we wanted more time.
The restaurant, food and staff were excellent spoiled by the noise levels. At 7.15 I could not converse with my guest without shouting!
The table was very dark so they moved us right next to the waiters station with waiters just standing around looking at us
Slow service. Got our drinks wrong twice.
Wonderful service, delicious food and gorgeous setting. Would highly recommend!
This trip was for a family birthday and they made every effort to make the trip special. The food and service as always (I visit most weeks!) was great and they made great attention to detail of our requirements. Being a Sunday lunchtime, it was a bit quieter than I have usually experienced but the DJ played at a good level and we could hold a conversation without shouting and there was a great buzz about the place.
I have always enjoyed meals here for pleasure and also business lunches. The service we received on Saturday was terrible and if it had been my first visit there is no chance I would return or recommend it to friends. Very very disappointing as we was celebrating our anniversary
Love the Ivy City but a couple of issues this time which were a real shame.
One minor issue - no space dust in the chocolate bombe (real shame). The other issue was one of the glass collector waiters took some empty glasses from our table, he already had a hand full, obviously trying to carry too many and begun what could only be called a juggling motion in order to avoid one falling to the floor, it was during this juggling motion a whole load of drink was thrown from the falling glass all down the back of my shirt and also onto my jacked which was on the back of the chair. I didn't want to make a fuss as I was in company but not very impressed.
Food preparation took so long
Very good food and service. Great decoration and quality-value.
Really nice experience definitely would recommend and return if I’m in the area
We took some friends for dinner to celebrate my 60th. They had never been there before and were very impressed. We had a lovely evening and the food and service were excellent as usual. A very enjoyable evening.
The ambiance is amazing, very beautiful location. However I wouldn’t return again. The waiter kept staying near our table and we felt he was constantly keeping an eye on us, which made us uncomfortable. By the time we stood up to leave, the waiter started to clean our table.
The food is average.
Always a good experience in this restaurant, excellent food and service and a good menu.
