The Ivy City Garden
The Ivy Collection’s first site in the City of London features an all-day-dining menu, private dining room, and hidden garden offering a tranquil al fresco escape from the hustle and bustle of the Square Mile. The restaurant boasts a summer water fountain, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows opening onto a hidden garden with its own bar. The Ivy City Garden’s outdoor space has a retractable roof, allowing diners to enjoy the garden all year-round.
Guests are also be able to enjoy our resident DJ; hitting the decks Friday from 6pm to close, all day Saturday and Sunday brunch.
Lovely place for a treat but on the pricey side especially as portions are on the small side and aren't that special.
Was very impressed with food and how quick is was.
My only moan is having the service charge added to you bill. I always tip if I get good service but it should be down to the individual how much they want to tip. I find a service charge of £9.78 for 2 people a little steep.
Unfortunately we chose the City Garden for some big celebrations but someone had wiped the notes off the booking. Service was lacking, food was mediocre. It was pretty disappointing.
Fabulous food, albeit quite small portions. Waiting staff professional, although there were lots of them hovering (it was a quiet evening).
Celebrated a special birthday here with my wife and a couple of friends on a Saturday evening. A great experience all round. Would love to go back again!!
Table service was amazing, lovely staff, but bar staff appeared aloof and moody.
Unfortunately due to the noise of a fellow guest it was hard for staff to hear me and then to me.
Lovely place, well presented tasty food. Waitress left our bottle of wine behind us, think she forgot about it so served myself.
The service was very slow and poor
We had to contumely get up from our table to get served
They also poured wine for 5 people when there was only 4 of us and brought us a different wine to what we had ordered
I’ve been to ur restaurant so many times - I was given a table next to the d j and front door we asked for a table away from the noise and the too
Many very loud young people - very disappointed in the meal which was cold the dessert made up for poor main meals
Great food and ambiance, the setting is different in a very good way! Their cocktails are unconventional and fun. There are 2 things to point out, however. Firstly their lunch/dinner menu (as it is the same) is only served after 4 pm, therefore until then you have a brunch menu. And secondly, the service could be a lot better given the fact that the setting of the restaurant gives that expectation.
A really lovely friendly upbeat restaurant with fabulous food and wine. I couldn’t fault the service. A fantastic place! I’ll be back again!
We went for my birthday with a group's of friends and had a fantastic time. The service was great and the food was amazing. I would recommend it.
Lovely food, amazing service. Will be booking again
I had visited here a couple of times for birthday parties with friends and the reception is never good. Can never put my finger on it but the front of house staff are not as receptive as they could be. We arrived on time and our table wasn’t ready. We were ushered to the busy bar at the back of the restaurant which was full. We waited around for fifteen minutes and I can only guess what would have happened if we had been late. Our table would have been given away. This is a part of The Ovy. Why could they not call ahead and advise the table was running late?
We were not asked for our coats which I know is a standard here, It had been raining and ended up having to put our coats on the backs of our chairs once we were seated.
Really liked it, food was amazing. Great customer service. It did smell a bit bad though in the corner where we sat, like someone had been sick. Everything else was perfect, great atmosphere and decor too.
First time here and wow it was lovely. Huge portions. My daughter and I could’ve shared and still have been full up. With the extras you order which are delicious.
Can’t wait to return
A great venue
Very nice service, especially from a young, more junior male member of FOH (shaved head). Prompt, very nice food and prices to be expected for London. Great decor too! Would return.
Poor service by a bunch of robots in a excessively noisy environment with average food.
My only comment, is they got my order wrong and I ended up with eggs as opposed to avocado on toast.
Celebrated my daughter's birthday, been here many times never disappoints. Great service, food and ambience. Lovely table thank you.
About 2 minutes walk from Liverpool Street station! Good service and nice atmosphere
Excellent food and very efficient and friendly service ...we always enjoy coming here
We went to the Ivy for the first time to celebrate our 7 year anniversary and really enjoyed every part of it. We were welcomed from the moment we arrived and seated promptly. Our waiter was very attentive and smiled. Food was great, great table and venue no complaints
The Ivy on top form. Excellent food throughout and super ambience. We had a leisurely brunch and would highly recommend this place.
Great food! Nice venue! We went for my wife's birthday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. my steak was the best I've had for a while.
Food service and environment excellent. Was a bit noisier than would have preferred but there was a birthday party at a nearby table and it was Saturday evening. All in all a great experience
Great atmosphere, just the right amount of noisy for me. Would suit a group of friends catching up or a couple out for a nice romantic meal. The food was good and well priced for what you get.
Great service, however, the only criticism I have is the manager approached us 45 mins before the next sitting to advise that they needed the table back soon. We were aware of this and had at this point already finished our desserts. Furthermore, there were many vacant tables available. Please do not pressurise your customers.
Early dinner on a Saturday for 5. Cocktails at the bar to start and a great table with space for our meal. It was all top notch and a great meal and time had by all. Will definitely return and totally recommend.
Amazing food and beautiful setting!
Perfect treat for our daughter's birthday. As always, fantastic food and a great venue. Staff are very attentive. Can be a bit noisy but we like that!
Not the best brunch venue - considering they don’t offer breakfast at weekends, the menu is more of a lunch offering with just a few egg dishes such as benedict & florentine, and not a rasher of bacon or sausage to be seen. Also they do like to squash tables in next to each other when there is plenty of space elsewhere.
Classic Bistro menu served in large, "energetic" (loud) dining room. The food is high quality and a cut above your average restaurant, full of the classics like Dover Sole, Steaks, Pork Chop, Salmon etc. High standards in the kitchen, but menu feels "rote". On the plus side, that makes it good for business dinners because you can be sure of quality and what you'll get.
Over 3 visits service has been uneven -- one time our server seemed unfocused (e.g. paused in the middle of pouring wine to stare at something else on another table) and then disappeared, but the staff all work together and whoever you get immediately takes care of your request.
Wine list is pitch perfect: large variety, covers all price points, doesn't try to be snobby.
Gets loud Thursday-Saturday with lots of work parties and also a DJ on weekends. Contributes to the vibe, but if you want a quiet dinner, this is not the place.
Fantastic menu, food and service. Great atmosphere and attention to detail
Good drinks and menu selection - we were seated in the conservatory area (no table cloth) but the food is always yummy
Live DJ on Friday night so not everyones taste
We booked our table at the very last minute and with a buggy and a baby in tow, we were a bit apprehensive. But - we could not have felt more welcome! The team looked after us and the little one with cheerful joy, nothing was too much trouble. So - a great visit.
At every Ivy food and service is always wonderful and this location is no different. Love all the big indoor plants
I was looking forward to having a birthday meal here and wasn’t disappointed. The food is delicious and I really like the decor. The staff kindly brought something tasty and sweet with a candle in, but did this discreetly without fuss which matched the tone of the restaurant
