Located in the historic Bishopsgate Gardens – one of the City’s few garden squares – and next-door to the famous St. Botolph church, The Ivy City Garden brings the familiar luxury of The Ivy, West Street to the City of London.

The Ivy Collection’s first site in the City of London features an all-day-dining menu, private dining room, and hidden garden offering a tranquil al fresco escape from the hustle and bustle of the Square Mile. The restaurant boasts a summer water fountain, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows opening onto a hidden garden with its own bar. The Ivy City Garden’s outdoor space has a retractable roof, allowing diners to enjoy the garden all year-round.

Guests are also be able to enjoy our resident DJ; hitting the decks Friday from 6pm to close, all day Saturday and Sunday brunch.

Our first time back since Covid-19 restrictions relaxed. Staff and food excellent. Really felt relaxed and safe. Lived the hand sanitisers on the table. Pity you don't sell them to customers.

Really disappointing evening. Table booked weeks in advance for 6.30pm. After main course, advised by manager that we would need to vacate the table in 20 minutes, having only been at the table for 1.5 hours. To then be supplied with a bill including a 12.5% service charge was disappointing to say the least. We did not pay the charge as an establishment such as this should not be requesting you leave in under 2 hours.

We requested a table in the bar area but advised not available. Appreciate COVID has presented challenges but please notify clearly in advance that meals are going to be rushed whilst the same prices + service charges applied.

Would not recommend going to the Ivy City if you are looking for a relaxed meal.

Third visit to the Ivy City Garden and pleased to confirm that there standards have not dropped, the quality of the food and drinks is very good, the Ivy Special G&T is the best I have ever tasted! The service is professional and efficient.

Good food, attentive but not overbearing service, lovely staff, nice venue, good COVID procedures in place, nice ambience, no loud music, can hear your friends speaking.

I have a dairy allergy and struggled to order food options as the waiter advised that even some of the choices labelled (vegan) on the menu had milk meaning they were not in fact, vegan!

The food I ended up with was lovely but actually getting an order in that was dairy free was painful and the waiter was not very helpful at all. I would advise a menu update and more helpful staff for people suffering with allergies!

Great experience. Food was lovely. Didn’t prefer nuts in our meals so they catered accordingly. Staff were so friendly. Just amazing!

Lovely venue but staff unfriendly. The food was pretty average, trading on the brand rather than the quality. Having said that, the prices are very reasonable for this type of restaurant so the business model is very much churn driven. I’d happily go again but not if I’m picking up the bill.

The restaurant was busier than I thought it would be which was great for atmosphere and they were also very organised from a COVID perspective with discrete temperature checks upon arrival and hand sanitiser on the tables. The only downside was the food which was not as tasty as usual - the truffle fries not as “truffly” as in the past and the chicken Milanese was overcooked verging on burned. Still good cocktails though!

Had a very pleasant meal at The Ivy City Garden. The tables were very well spaced out and the staff very good with Covid precautions. In such difficult times it was good to feel safe and have an enjoyable time.

Good range of dishes on the menu, but view the menu online to check if it suits you and your guests. Excellent wine list although the wine is expensive. At the moment, the ambiance is understandably very subdued, as the night we were there (a Tuesday) the restaurant was only about 40% full. This suited us but it might not suit everyone. Service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant is very well appointed, no expense has been spared on the decoration. The location is very convenient, only minutes away from Liverpool Street station.

The restaurant is beautiful and very clean. Social distancing wasn't a problem. Food and drink was all perfect. I think the staff were trying to be nice and give us time to sit and chill but we would have wanted another drink which we weren't offered. I did get a free mini birthday dessert which was nice and unexpected 😃

I have eaten at the Ivy garden Chelsea and Granary sq many times and the food is excellent. However, on this occasion the food was poor. I didn’t say anything at the time as it was my friends birthday. We ordered black cod. Instead of a thick cod steak, which flacked and was moist, we were served a thin fillet which was overcooked, dry and not very nice at all. The bill was £83.00 for 2 mains, 2 sides and 2 classes of house champagne. Overpriced on this occasion.
The staff were friendly, polite and efficient.

The restaurant was not well organised in catering for and acknowledging social distancing. Guests were not sufficiently separated-it felt overcrowded, specifically when staff were serving tables.

A few tables had been taken out, but to the minimum.
There was a real lack of ventilation. Staff were not wearing face coverings.

It was a stark contrast to those restaurants who are doing a phenomenal job.

The food was delicious but the service was not that great. We tried to gain someone’s attention for 20 minutes to pay the bill. Mind you, we had already received the receipt and were ready to pay. It wasn’t very busy so that was quite disappointing.
