The Ivy Collection’s first site in the City of London features an all-day-dining menu, private dining room, and hidden garden offering a tranquil al fresco escape from the hustle and bustle of the Square Mile. The restaurant boasts a summer water fountain, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows opening onto a hidden garden with its own bar. The Ivy City Garden’s outdoor space has a retractable roof, allowing diners to enjoy the garden all year-round.
Guests are also be able to enjoy our resident DJ; hitting the decks Friday from 6pm to close, all day Saturday and Sunday brunch.
I didn’t appreciate having our food basically whipped away and feeling like we were being so rushed and force fed to then all of a sudden be left to stay at the table u til closing. Service was rushed and felt a bit rude- I felt uncomfortable. Food was very good.
The welcome, the service, the food, everybody working at this restaurant is outstanding and perfect. I know that’s what we expect at “The Ivy” but even then, it’s up to the local personnel to make it special. At City Garden they certainly do!
great restaurant, fair prices and great staff, very helpful.
This is my third visit and will definitely be back again once it reopens. When we arrived the noise level was such that we could not hear ourselves or the waitress. We asked if we could move which they did almost immediately. Our waiter was training, he was attentive and when he could not understand what we were asking he went to get assistance , which was immediate. The steak we ordered was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed every aspect of our meal. Each time we have visited it has been for a special occasion and have never been disappointed with the service or food.
Perfect location for meeting
Fabulous food and service
Will be back
Really friendly helpful staff and I wasn't rushed. Food was fabulous, i can't fault my experience, The ivy liverpool st will be top if my list of restaurants to revisit on my next trip to london.
The staff really looked after us well. We love the Ivy and look forward to returning in 2021
For our first time out in months, it felt nice and Christmassy. Menu choice was good and we both chose from the Christmas Festivities menu. A little pricey for lunch but what the heck.
Very nice restaurant with a lovely airy vibe good food and service really enjoyable
Lovely food! Good service and always done up so nice for Christmas.
Always a lovely experience in The Ivy. Amazing!
Flawless from start to finish. My partner and I had a wonderful evening celebrating our anniversary. The staff surprised us with two anniversary cakes - Very special and memorable evening.
lovely meal goose sheppard pie and blackened cod exceptional
Lovely night, good food and attentive staff
Very nice atmosphere and excellent food if a bit expensive - wine list is overpriced as in all City restaurants. Service was very good and attentive and there was a nice atmosphere. Excellent to find somewhere in the City prepared to open on Saturdays and Sundays.
We had a fabulous dining experience and hope to return super soon.
The service was fab as always! Very accommodating and considering Covid the service was quick!! My favourite Ivy to go too!!
Really enjoyable lunch in a great atmosphere in a great location
Lovely food and great service. Good social distancing and masked staff. Thankyou.
Had a date with my son to enjoy some time together. It was a special evening and the food and service was great.
It was my wife’s birthday during lockdown and we had to cancel. It was nice to get back to eating out again. As always the food and ambiance at the Ivy City was great. Looking forward to our next meal there
I always like to visit The Ivy City Garden and so when I had a business lunch this week it seemed the best choice near Liverpool Street Station.
The staff were good. Both polite, helpful and attentive.
We were shown to our table upstairs and were seated quickly with menus and wine list waiting for us.
We had our meal and the food was good apart from the scallops as a first course and the boned chicken as a main. Both seemed to be overcooked and additionally the chicken was dry.
I’m sure this is only a blip and I shall return in January.
Good tasty food well presented. Marked down as the red wine arrived too warm which damaged the taste. Took some time for the agreement to replace to be reached
Good customer service, I would recommend to a friend!
Amazing breakfast had by all. Would definitely recommend.
Service is good but just a little too pushy and got the feeling they just want to get you ordering more drinks more food etc Kept interrupting us lots of times.
Enjoyed our meal thank you. Pricey but for a nice restaurant in London that is expected.
I would definitely recommend it -COVID regulations adhered to, food tasted and was presented beautifully, staff attentive and very polite and nothing was too much trouble.
Perfect client meeting
Lovely surroundings to enjoy a family celebration. Thoughtful Menu selections for all tastes.
Great food, excellent service, highly recommended, will book again
Great atmosphere, food good . Staff very welcoming.
The whole meal was ruined when we were told to leave as we were ordering dessert. They said our ‘slot’ was over & we needed to immediately leave for the next guests. The waiter was rude & unapologetic. At no point we’re we ever told we had a ‘slot’. I think Ben showed our online booking which did not suggest we had to leave the table by any time. We were just about to order more champagne & our dessert which we were looking forward to. It was a very special occasion which was completely ruined!!
Lovely lovely place. The decor is beautiful. The food is fun and tasty. I would go back again in an instant!
I have been to The Ivy City Garden several times. I love the whole experience. It can be abit noisy at times, but it has never put us off from returning.
It was wonderful to be out eating with my family. The restaurant looked wonderful, service was splendid and food was varied and catered for all our dietary requirement - something the Ivy has always been very good at. First class lunch out. We would return to the City branch again. Thanks to all staff for a wonderful lunch.
Extremely poor service for a place that serves some good dishes. Super rushed last order at 9.30pm even though it shuts at 11pm. Served us a non vegetarian order and pretended it’s sweet potato when it was actually duck. Spoke to the manager who was unapologetic and unconcerned as well. Extremely poor service for a good place otherwise.
Poor experience overall. Firstly seated in the private room. Zero atmosphere. Immediately requested a move to the main room.
Drinks ordered first. Aperol spritz arrived flat. Requested a new one made fresh. My rhubarb gin arrived in a regular glass last seen in a pub during the 80's. Surely a proper gin glass is mandatory everywhere these days.
Starters were ok, warm sourdough devoured along with tempura squid and prawns. Pate was also tasty.
For the mains the shepherds pie was a little on the small side but flavoursome.
Cote de boeuf was ordered medium rare alongside sides of creamed spinach and sweet potato.
The steak arrived well done and devoid of flavour , spinach was bland and the sweet potato presented as wedges. I suppose I was expecting the blacklock version so I was disappointed.
The waiter returned the steak and provided replacements. This time the steak arrived correctly cooked but the quality of the steak was I can only describe as a disgrace. Not sure how any restaurant has the audacity to serve such poor quality meat to anyone.
This was an example of post lockdown cost cutting, trying to maintain margins. No serious food eaters will tolerate the fare dished here. The only crowds it will attract are maybe out of towners who consider Zilli's as treat
Excellent service and food.
1st time inside a restaurant since March, staff were welcoming, reassuring and professional. Food was great service perfect, staff had masks on all the time, tables cleaned as soon as people left, scocial distancing as much as possible. Would certainly go back felt 100% at ease. Thank you
I'm afraid I'll start to run out of things to say about this fantastic restaurant and it's utterly fabulous staff. Open again after lowdown #2 and still an absolute winner - across the bread - PLUS great new additions to the menu; especially the cheese souffle. We'll be back soon. RodR
