The Ivy City Garden
The Ivy Collection’s first site in the City of London features an all-day-dining menu, private dining room, and hidden garden offering a tranquil al fresco escape from the hustle and bustle of the Square Mile. The restaurant boasts a summer water fountain, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows opening onto a hidden garden with its own bar. The Ivy City Garden’s outdoor space has a retractable roof, allowing diners to enjoy the garden all year-round.
Guests are also be able to enjoy our resident DJ; hitting the decks Friday from 6pm to close, all day Saturday and Sunday brunch.
Food was good as usual - no real complaint there. But the service was VERY bad...to the point where im unlikely to revisit any branch of the Ivy. Why were all the staff so moody and unhelpful? Not welcoming at all.
Amazing brunch, great service and pleasant atmosphere.
Amazing food, very relaxing atmosphere and beautiful interior design
This is a lovely restaurant amongst some greenery in the City, just around the corner Liverpool Street station.
My tip would be to make sure you ask the waiter to space your meal out. We found as we took our last mouthful of starter our main courses were being placed in front of us.
Overall, lovely way to spend an afternoon ;-)
Very good experience all around!
We do like it here . We had a table booked for 8.30..they sat us at 8.45 leaving us with just an hour..While eating our meal they asked for dessert choice then while eating dessert asked us to pay the bill. Then told us we had to leave asap. I understand the 10 o clock rule but if they had sat us in time then we would not have felt so rushed . .or maybe not take bookings after 8 or a 2 course meal ..we don t usually have dessert but felt rushed onto ordering..shame
We had a lovely meal with friendly helpful staff.
Making the most of going out, before lockdowns. Food was good, only complaint was mine was the size for a small child. However, quality very good. Service good actually very good. Our bread was nice but very crunchy overly so and needed further heating up. The other half was happy, so overall pleased
Food was distinctly average for the Ivy. Some dishes overcooked. Service during the meal was good but they didn’t manage the curfew well and were quite rude.
I visited the Ivy for brunch with a friend. The waitress serving us was lovely, with food and drink orders being sorted and delivered to our table very quickly. I'm vegetarian and there were various options available, I opted for the sweet potato curry which was delicious- I believe they had vegan options too.
The restaurant had lovely decor and a nice atmosphere. It was quite pricey but nothing unexpected given the location/brand and I felt that the prices were fair and good value given the whole experience.
Overall I'd recommend this restaurant and would visit again in a heartbeat.
Great xxxxxxxxcxxxxxx cxxp
As always, the Shepherd's Pie is outstanding. Great ambience.
Great food & service - was in and out in lunch break.
The Arancini balls were so delicious i could eat it by the bucket load. The brunch deal is worth it and the venue is stunning. I look forward to coming back in the spring/summer.
Good food and lovely staff, but the noise was just too high for a relaxed Sunday afternoon. Could barely hear my partner.
Great venue, god company great lunch with a good friend,
It is a beautiful venue with stunning stained glass, exquisitely tiled floors and comfortable leather seats. I cannot fault the presentation of the food (I ordered the eggs Royale with chip) but I found it rather lukewarm as was the cappuccino. During the current coronavirus crisis tables are only available for 1.5 hours. Had I not been allowed to occupy my table 20 mins before the booked time, I would have found the brunch a tad rushed.
Friendly, good food, great service very attentive. Very covid safe
Amazing food and service will definitely be returning
Very nice experience. Liked the setup of the building and where it is. The food was good and the staff did everything they could to keep us safe during these strange times.
Very good restaurant. Shame it was spoiled by a rowdy bunch of blokes at the bar who also didn't bother with face masks either. This was not the establishments fault who did try to "contain" them - but i think that they should have been firmer and simply have told them to leave. But hopefully this was a one off - we will definitely use the Ivy City again.
Fabulous meal food was amazing
Great cocktails and lovely staff
Only issue was having to leave due to the curfew!
Delicious food. Perfect service. Beautifull restaurant.
We had such a fantastic experience at The Ivy City Garden. We booked fairly last minute and specified that it was a special occasion, we were seated in a lovely location next to the fire in the garden area (covered over so it's like an indoor garden!) and the food was delicious. The decor is great and the garden area is beautiful. We'd definitely go back.
Great service. My friend was 20 minutes late and we thought we would only have our table for a limited of time. We had our table for three for 2.5 hours before we decided to leave. Excellent food and service. I would highly recommend
Friendly service and delicious food
As you'd expect from The Ivy restaurants solid, but was told they needed the table and we were moved to the bar. The table remained empty for the next three hours! If we were being boisterous tell us to quieten down, but don't BS us.
Excellent service as per usual. The food was fantastic and good value and the restaurant was busy and had a good vibe to it, even considering it was breakfast
Very enjoyable, polite staff, great ambience and comfortable
Great venue as always - food was good, cocktails were fantastic. Gluten free options were available.
Ivy at its usual standard. Good service and excellent food.
Everything was very well done, especially as far as covid was concerned. Would recommend the Ivy.
I felt very safe and comfortable eating at The Ivy city Gardens during this uncertain time. It was my first meal out during the pandemic and they seem to have everything under control and working smoothly. The food and drink was up to standard and service was very good.
Outstanding evening. Can't really go wrong here!!!
Good service and food. I would return and recommend.
We took clients, food was lovely, good range of options, service was friendly and attentive.
Good food and service. The environment is nice too. Will return
Great ambience and good quality. Professional service much appreciated.
I think standards are slipping a bit,my wife loves the monkfish curry but it was a bit light on the fish and filled out with vegetables which was a bit disappointing.
Overall it was really nice as usual but the slight problem with the meal and the fact we waited over20 minutes for Irish coffee it was probably the most disappointing visit we have had.
AWFUL EXPERIENCE,NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE IT. TOOK MY PLATE AWAY WHILST I WAS STILL EATING. !!!!!
8.30pm Anniversary booking. On my arrival my Table wasnt ready..... we were made to wait(FIRST DELAY)
Seated and left for a while before being offered drinks. (SECOND DELAY)
Then all of a sudden things changed....
We were told to order starters and mains together (Fine no problem). Before Our Mains arrived we were told we have to order our desserts before the kitchen closes...... ok.
Mains came, hubby's main lovely, requested parmesan cheese to complement, "No sorry the kitchen is closed" Wow... 2 seconds later I was told "Kitchens closing so do you want me to cancel your deserts? Now at this point I was beginning to think this was a prank. I replied "No thank you" explained that it was my Anniversary and the evening was supposed to be special, Their reply "Yeah sorry it's not our fault " they then came back and said "Sorry were closed we have to take your plates!!! PLEASE MAY I ADD I WAS STILL EATING!!! Our plates were taken and I Gozzled my Cocktails before that was taken also.
She came back and said "I'm afraid you have to pay now" i asked her to give me one moment "I'm afraid I can't give you a moment" WOW, She stood over us until we paid and said "Manager removed your food from the Bill" I have never been treated like this, As I was leaving I had a rude young man try to argue with me stating "it's your fault for booking at 8.30pm"
" you should have known that would not have been enough time to Eat"
" "The Government has said we need to close at 10pm."
NO OWNERSHIP WHATSOEVER!
NOT SORRY WE TOOK SO LONG TO SEAT YOU, AND SERVE YOU. JUST "YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN "
I continued to inform them that if they know that 8.30 bookings wont finish on time why make it available?????
Well that silenced him !!!! I had really been looking forward to this and the only thing I enjoyed was the Cocktail.
