The Ivy City Garden Ratings and Reviews
I was taking visiting overseas friends for a traditional British cream tea. The service was amazing, and the lay-out (silver service, beautifully presented) wonderful. Lovely clotted cream, good jam and nice pieces of fresh strawberry. The selection of teas could have been better (only 2 options for black tea, besides green tea and fruit teas); and the scones were not quite the very best I have ever tasted (though by no means bad!).
The setting is lovely, on the edge of a quiet little secluded garden area away from the road.
However, it was very noisy inside, it seems with lots of people having late lunches (we were there 3 - 4pm for a strawberry cream tea).
Nonetheless, if I wanted to take other friends for a cream tea experience in central London, I would certainly go there again.
Delicious food as always! Service is still top notch like it was during opening week.
Highly recommend the Garden Collins for an aperitif at the bar.
We had the steak sandwich and truffle chicken for mains along with zucchini Fritti which are superb.
Friendly staff, great food. Will be back
Family meal after my daughters graduation to celebrate.
Greeted warmly by staff in foyer. Taken to our table straight away.
Beautiful table with sofa and comfortable arm chairs. The restaurant is lovely. It feels very exclusive but cosy. You really felt like this was somewhere special to eat. The garden can be seen from all areas of the restaurant and is beautiful to look at whilst dining. (make sure you visit the ladies room while you are here, its probably the most attractive i have even seen).
Extensive menu, something for everyone. Food was delicious, everyone was happy with their choice. Service was great and delivered with a smile.
We had cocktail which were very pretty , and other drinks and three course meal each, coffees and the cost was around £50 a head. Very good value. Food was very high quality and drinks delicious too.
I would recommend this restaurant to my family and friends and would come again.
