Consistently very good with traditional values of great service.
Very good lunch, great location, nice food, good service. I will be back.
We had some good friends visiting from Italy and they wanted ‘British Bistro’ type food. The Ivy ticked all the boxes and my guests were very happy with the ambience , food and the staff ( waitress was Italian and could explain the menu).
Amazing food & the cocktails were perfect. The place was really full & the waiter was run ragged... The other staff were watching & filling the voids. Defo worth a visit.
Good food and good service, what more can you ask for?
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at The Ivy City Garden. The food was excellent and was served in a comfortable environment. The staff were so knowledgable, helpful and catered for our every need. Thank you for making it such a lovely experience. We would definitely recommend The Ivy City Garden to our friends and family.
Good menu choice
Great value for money
Service and cocktails were spot on. Food was nice, will return and try more.
Great food and ambience, but the service was quite bad.
Excellent as always
The overall event was very enjoyable, food excellent , service efficient & friendly.
The only negative was a wine list with few reasonably priced wines, having said that the Picpoul was very good.
Excellent service and even more excellent brunch menu - the lobster eggs Benedict is a must try! It was my dads birthday and they bought out a lovely dessert with a candle without even being asked. We also had a new born baby with us and they were incredibly accommodating of this. They gave us a table with lots of room for the pram and also provided a lovely room for feeding. I would highly recommend and would definitely go back!
Another fantastic evening at The Ivy City Garden! I met with 6 friends on a busy Friday evening, we had a fabulous table, the roof in the conservatory area was open and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Food and service were both as expected. Looking forward to my next visit.
Second time dining at this restaurant with an error on the bill of something we didn't order. In addition, refused to use the Open Table cheque even though they aren't on the exclusion list. Needless to say, the manager was not in the mood to explain and instead she just said they weren't accepted. Not the nicest interaction I have ever had. Wouldn't recommend it.
Enjoyed a heart meal on a busy night the staff were very patient when our guest was late arriving
Amazing, want to go back soon. X
Lovely food & cocktail. It was a beautiful evening so bonus to sit in the open air section which had the added benefit of not being as noisy, perfect for a friends evening out
Absolutely brilliant, had a great time. The food and the atmosphere were really good
breakfast was lovely!
also brought over a little happy birthday cake for my colleague
will defo go back :-]
The food was fantastic the service at the table was exceptional but the wait between courses is too long..... at least 50mins between starter and main.
Amazing vibe and decor!
The food and service were really very good. The restaurant was very busy at first, and quite noisy, and so I wouldn't recommend for a quiet meal.
Fantastic food, fabulous service and a view to die for, with a touch of classic old school glamour - what more could you ask for!
Fantastic ambience, great food and an all round pleasure
A little disappointing but perhaps I was unlucky to have a dish smashed over my guest and a 1.5 hour wait for the main...
Food was lovely once it arrived and they were very apologetic for the service
Excellent will definitely be returning, the atmosphere was great. The food is amazing and our waiter was the best
Everything from start to finish was amazing. The food was delicious, as was the service and atmosphere.
Six of us went for a family dinner here whilst visiting our daughter in London we chose here as wanted to go for a special meal during the weekend. We have visited the Ivy Cafe in Wimbledon before and always loved it so were expecting a good evening. I have to say we were very disappointed, the service was extremely slow, our cocktails took nearly half an hour to come and when they did the waiter didn’t seem to know which drink was which. He then had a protracted argument with my husband about which drink he had ordered, all very awkward. The food took a while to come and when it did my husbands had been forgotten. The food itself was OK but nothing special. The manager did take our first round of drinks off the bill, but to be honest I would rather have good experience than a discounted bill. Based on our evening I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.
The food was lovely, the service however was terrible. We waited a long time for someone to take our order and for our drinks to arrive. The restaurant was very busy and therefore really noisy, we had to shout across the table at each other to be heard! The mains did arrive promptly after we did order and were delicious. Desserts were the star of the show, however the waitress who brought them (short dark hair and wore a black trouser suit), and flambéed them barely managed to crack a smile. All the other staff were very pleasant just not very attentive and the waiting times for orders, drinks, and plates to be cleared was unacceptable.
Pleasant place to eat
Did not appreciate the waiter disagreeing with us when we said the white wine was not cold.
Amazing food, attentive staff and lovely atmosphere.
Could not fault it at all!
Good food and good service and great surrounding. I was recommended to come and I was not disappointed. My friends and I had a lovely lunch.
Ate here on Saturday lunchtime. Surprised by the number of diners, as a result noise level not the best. Ate inside main body of restaurant, the garden area looked good and would be nice in summer. Food good, well presented price about average for City although £6 for a beer seems excessive.
Service was good despite being busy. One mark against was the fact that my coffee was cold....it had obviously been standing for some time before being brought to the table (by another member of staff). However this was replaced when table waiter was informed.
All in all good experience apart from noise level . Would recommend branch at tower bridge for quieter eating experience.
We met friends for a late lunch at 2.30 and it was a really nice atmosphere and food was good
Very pleasant lunch in nice surroundings. Good food, service and interesting drinks list.
Great food to fit everyone's taste. Professional and polite service, and good value!
Really enjoyable experience and lovely food. Strongly recommended
The food was delicious but the service chaotic. Our pre-lunch drinks arrived after the first course, our coffee before the desserts - twice! One of the mains was Luke warm. Very disappointing overall and it was a special occasion, my son's birthday.
I highly recommend the Ivy CIty Garden. It is a beautiful restaurant - the atmosphere was the perfect setting for a relaxed and intimate date. Quite pricey, but worth every penny as a treat.
The food was delicious - the Ivy menu is lovely (not all of the Ivy locations execute it as well as the city garden location!) I couldn't fault the service either; staff were attentive throughout without being annoying or overkill.
Nice place to go for something a little special, some of the meals are a bit pricey and if you don't tell the waiter they can rush you with your courses. Overall very nice.
