Booking was straightforward and the welcome was warm. Parking is rather difficult around there so it would be an idea to use some other form of transport. The ambience was good and the food fine.I was made aware of the turnaround policy which is an unfortunate commonplace in many restaurants now so I adjusted the booking to 9 in an attempt to avoid this. Unfortunately the waitress mentioned at 11 can we book quickly as they are closing kitchen. This did put a dampener on the evening so we didn’t order and left as we felt rushed

We went to the Ivy City Gardens this weekend for a big get together. There were 8 of us in total. The setting is very attractive with a garden outdoor feel to the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and nice.

They were very accommodating and allowed us to move tables to have a circular one so we had a better flowing conversation.

The food was good and so were the cocktails. There are a lot of options in the menu and we all had different things.

The vibe was friendly, lively and fun. There was a dj that was setting the music. I’d definitely recommend for large groups looking for a nice setting to enjoy good food and drinks.

Second visit to glorious restaurant. So enamoured with first visit thought we would try again to see if it was a fluke but just as good. Goes without saying that the food is exceptional but it really is a credit to the staff that the outshine the menu. Thank you to the team for a great visit and of course thanks to the chefs .....perfect end to a lovely day in London. Sure to be coming back for repeat experiance

Ok, excellent food but very crowded and noisy. Like being in a student canteen

Although it was only 5.30 on a Wednesday the Ivy cafe was quite crowded. Unfortunately we were seated at a table too near that of 4 girls who shrieked and shouted and required the waiters to have selfies with them. We asked to be moved and then the waiter called a senior staff member who., as the girls had finished, had the table vacated. I felt that that degree of noise should not have been tolerated even if no complaints had been made.
I have eaten in other Ivy cafes which were quiet civilised places to eat. This wasn’t and I felt badly that I had taken my friend who had come up to Town to meet me there.

I would have given a higher rating but I was disappointed with the restaurant having too many tables so were crammed close together. We were a table of 3 which was really a table for 2 with an extra chair so was a bit too cramped to be able to relax.

This was my first visit to the Ivy, a recommendation of my daughter-in-law who enjoys casual business meetings here and I have to agree whole heartedly with her the venue is a lovely surprise find in the busy city. The occasion was a family tea party with my grandchildren who really enjoyed their adhoc food selection of Soar-dough bread, butter, doughnuts and lemonade, later my companion and I changed tables to eat a delicious salmon fillet dinner where the staff were extremely helpful to ensure my companion who follows the FODMAP diet, was able to avoid high FODMAP foods.

Once again, the Ivy doesn't disappoint with brunch. We all had the eggs benedict with cocktails and the salt crusted sour dough loaf (my favorite thing). We had some issues with our drinks as they were left at the bar and not sent over but other than that it was the perfect experience.

Would recommend for any occasion!

Lively buzzy restaurant with a good atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon. Food was good but service poor. Had to find a waiter to ask for a drinks order after arriving and waiting ages. Had to ask for plates to be cleared after 20 mins after eating. Cigarette breathed waiter. Extra drinks were added to the bill by mistake. Tip automatically included but wasn’t worth it. This kind of service is not something I expect in a high end restaurant so probably won’t return.

The food was average, nothing special and expected better. Service probably suffered because it was a busy Saturday. Veggie options very poor. If you like the Ivy brand then Kings Road and Covent garden are much better restaurants.

We enjoyed our meal, the restaurant was lovely and the service was excellent - the music was too loud and extremely repetitive.
The food was nicely cooked and presented well - but everything on the menu was extra making the overall cost quite expensive. Steak should be offered with a source if wanted at no extra cost - the same for the small portion of chips.
Whilst we would tell friends about this and would consider visiting again - the music would put us off.

Really lovely restaurant and really nice staff, only complaint was two people ordered fish cakes and that’s all they got. Would be helpful if the waiter made them aware and then would have ordered sides.
Other than that a great time.

It's a lovely restaurant and the reception staff are first class. Food was good but..the service was very poor. The waitress was trying to do her best but not sure what the problem was but we had to wait a long time for everything, taking orders, getting drinks (which were incorrect when delivered), the food. The manager was obviously aware of the problem because he gave us a round of drinks on the house but, to be honest, I would have preferred the service being in place rather than get free drinks. Spoiled the evening in many respects which is a shame.

The reception staff had a lovely welcome and I loved their Red dresses, very attentive table staff and everything seemed to be running very efficient. Food was fresh and as per menu, cocktail lovely. The tables were a bit close to each other as we were a party of two however when it got busy about 13:00 it was very noisy - which I had time to try a drink at the outside bar near the garden - looked lovely

It’s a nice venue, but food is basically ‘pub grub’ for which you are paying way over the odds, service was way too attentive in the style of we need your table so hurry up and eat and go.... otherwise it’s very overpriced average catering

VERY DISAPPOINTED!
we had a party of 7 and all of us had to send our main meal back.
Food extremely dry, and shocking bland.
I don’t normally write comments , but honestly , don’t waste your time or money! Far better places in the city.

This was a great choice for a friends' get together and a boozy lunch. The food and drinks were fantastic, the staff were friendly, we had a great table and there is an indoor garden here which gave us the impression we were dining in a garden. Very nice.

The service was terrible. On arrival, we had to ask for a drink five times. The rest of the meal followed the same pattern. Inattentive waiters and poor response from them. The food was good, but the service was so bad I would not recommend it as a place to enjoy a meal.
