The Ivy City Garden
The Ivy Collection’s first site in the City of London features an all-day-dining menu, private dining room, and hidden garden offering a tranquil al fresco escape from the hustle and bustle of the Square Mile. The restaurant boasts a summer water fountain, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows opening onto a hidden garden with its own bar. The Ivy City Garden’s outdoor space has a retractable roof, allowing diners to enjoy the garden all year-round.
Guests are also be able to enjoy our resident DJ; hitting the decks Friday from 6pm to close, all day Saturday and Sunday brunch.

Food was good and service was excellent. Staff was very caring and surpassed expectations when one food order came wrong. Only downside is that cocktails were slightly overpriced, but still enjoyable.
Beautiful space in the heart of the City of London. Delicious pre dinner cocktails!
Great experience, fabulous atmosphere and amazing food at very reasonable prices! Overall experience was fantastic, staff were very accommodating, went for my friends birthday and they served a birthday surprise desert at the end of our dinner.
Very high standard of food, lots of variety. great atmosphere
Beautiful setting and extensive menu. Staff were friendly and even when they asked for the table back, we were offered seats at the bar. I will definitely be back.
We are returning customers. Good food and atmosphere - the only thing that let it down was we were charged for olives and didn’t get them other than that was great!
As stated above, service was good. Main course, shepherds pie was lumpy not very hot. Chips not good. Dessert was excellent (baked alaska).
Wine was good.
Irish coffee - need to train staff to get this right.
Went for lunch with one another person.
Wait staff were quick to give us menus however very slow to take our orders even though menus were closed.
Food took a very long time to arrive for each course and the waiter didn’t clear all the items on table as we were done with them. This wasn’t good considering we were given quite a small table.
The food itself was okay, having been to other Ivy restaurants the city garden restaurant really did pail in comparison.
The starters were tasty but the main course dishes and dessert was quite the opposite and had to send our dessert back.
Wouldn’t recommend this branch.
Lovely surroundings, sitting in a garden setting (the glass roof is covered by plants) feeling like you were outside despite a cold, wet autumn day was fantastic. Service was excellent and the overall meal was good value. Food was a bit disappointing, the fish and chips was soggy , maybe been sitting under a heat lamp for a while and the burger bun was excessive is size, way too much bread. Steak tartare however was very good. I have been to other branches or the Ivy Garden/Brasserie and had better food. Guess it depends on who is in the kitchen on the day. Would go again.
I've eaten at The Ivy in Marylebone so knew what to expect. The menu offers lots of choice and every dish is worth trying. I've now had the Crispy Duck salad as a starter about 4 times! It's so good. The service was friendly, helpful, quick. The main things I like about The Ivy City Garden are the decor, the buzzy atmosphere, the open doors to the outside garden, keeping it cool. It certainly got very noisy around the middle of the evening but quietened down later. Great place to meet friends, or one friend, or to celebrate. It's not cheap, but I think it's worth it. Will hopefully return soon!
Great food, great décor and good service. A little noisy at lunchtime (it was very busy) and the menu was hard to read under the lighting (I forgot my reading glasses - larger print text would have been better!). Overall an excellent venue for a business or social lunch
Excellent vegetarian selection, fabulous services and impressive decor.
I took my wife there for her birthday. She was very impressed and it is not easy to impress her! A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
A favourite of mine, always buzzing, great food, ambience and service.
The Ivy City Garden is a sumptuous eating environment within a stone's throw of Liverpool Street station, with the added benefit of being an all-day diner. The welcome is warm and the food is very good, although the service is more variable than similarly-priced locations in the area.
Wife and I had a great time. Friendly staff and excellent service. We visited for the afternoon tea selection - very satisfied. Had a couple of cocktails too 👌🏾 Will definitely be back. Perfect way to end the weekend.
Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere and table space. I would recommend the place.
Great value great place good food with good service 👌🏽
GOOD FOOD & NICE ATMOSPHERE WOULD RECOMMEND IT FOR A RELAXED MEAL AND GREAT TO BE ABLE TO CHAT WITHOUT NEEDING TO RAISE YOUR VOICE - ALTHOUGH THE LIGHTING WAS A LITTLE LOW AND MADE IT DIFFICULT TO READ THE MENU :)
Marco was a brilliant waiter.
Had such fun, amazing food and beautiful wine
Great dining room, Buzzy atmosphere and fabulous food and cocktails. Cannot wait to return x
Brilliant early evening meal. Great service.
Great environment. We had the champagne afternoon tea and it’s great value.
Had a brilliant time at this restaurant - couldn't fault it! The service, food etc is outstanding! Will definitely be returning and will highly recommend!
Great food however ruined by the service of the management. We attended for a special occasion where I had requested a cake well in advance for the evening. Having had no response I emailed again and I received a call back on the morning of our booking to be told it was too late to arrange anything special. No outside cake is allowed which is understandable so I asked what could be done and was told a complimentary tart would be available. When this tart arrived it is far from what I hoped for. I understand this may be the only option but when I asked to speak to the manager his attitude was ruthless and unempathetic. We spent a substantial amount and at the very least we would hope for a can do attitude to appease us in some way. It's not what I would expect from the Ivy brand which comes with a certain level of service attached to the name. I would therefore not recommend this place for special occasions as a perfectly lovely evening was ruined by poor service in the end.
Had a really lovely evening with delicious food and super cocktails. Service excellent.
Met here with some girlfriends for a get together. There are 2 seating areas and we were sat in the outer section but we were hoping to be inside on the comfy seats..although it was fine where we were to be fair. Ordered the monkfish and prawn curry but was disappointed with the amount of fish in it! Then ordered baked Alaska for dessert and again was disappointed as it was not lit at the table...this is the first time in all the years I’ve had this dessert that this has happened. Overall the taste of the food was great and the wine was lovely but need to improve the dishes I had
Food was once again excellent. Very disappointed in the bottle beer which was not cold enough. The chilled glasses helped to some extent but then they ran out of those. No excuse for not having ice cold beer.
Lovely restaurant. Service was fantastic. The only gripe was the head left on the sea bass when it was served and it was unfilleted and full of bones - very offputting.
Very disappointing, service was slow, my wife’s chicken was very dry and the lardons in the sauce were under cooked.
They brought my wife’s desert out 15 minutes before mine, so we had to eat them separately rather than together. It was supposed to be a treat for my wife but because of the above issues it wasn’t.
First time to this Ivy Restaurant
Like everything about it
Would recommend to all my Friends ,my only disappoint did not get the french fries i tried ordering twice but that not such a bad thing ,helps to keep the waste line down
Really enjoyed lunch for three of us although tables are too small to accommodate a lunch plate with sides and a drink each for 3 people and it was set for 4.
Food was fantastic
Service needs to focus on putting the correct food in front of each guest.
Lovely Friday breakfast treat: we had the Full English and the vegetarian version of the Full English, which were both huge (but very tasty!). Coffee was delicious, and service was warm, friendly and professional.
The gorgeous decor / ambience (incl. toilet facilities) is worth noting, too!
Restaurant was relatively quiet, but we were initially sat in a 2 very close to other diners which would have made us feel part of their conversation / table with the tables so close together in that area. Luckily we could be moved but the lady had to check it was ok with her manager. Not sure why, it was empty and we didn’t want to sit on top of other people. Many people were having business meetings, we had the day off from work so were expecting a nice relaxing start to the day, not shouting over to hear each other talk.
Overall, service wasn’t great, they asked us if we wanted any condiments and forgot to bring them to the table. They also didn’t ask us during breakfast whether we were enjoying our food - this is standard stuff. It felt like because a discretionary charge is pretty much a given, they didn’t need to worry. Relatively pricy for a breakfast but this wouldn’t have mattered if it is had been really nice. It was OK but the ingredients didn’t seem the best quality which you wouldn’t expect based on the cost. I think my husband had half a mushroom on his plate not sure what happened to the other half.
Now to the disabled customer toilet downstairs, understand customers may leave things dirty but the toilet really does need to be regularly checked, maybe I was just unfortunate on this occasion but it was very off putting....
Overall, I think it looks a nice setting for a cocktail after work on a Thursday night, but I wouldn’t go for breakfast / brunch - the Ivy at Blackheath is much better. A real shame.
I’ve been dining here since it opened and use it for a mix of business lunches / dinners, and meals with family and friends. The food is usually great and the service equally so, however on my latest visit I was very disappointed with both.
One of my clients ordered the blackened cod with the mash on the side and when it arrived it was cold as it had clearly been hanging around for a while before serving. The waitress toon the cod dish back to the kitchen and the meal eventually came back at the right temperature, but there was no apology and no offer of money off the bill, complimentary drink etc - nothing. I didn’t push the issue as it wasn’t appropriate for a business meeting, but I’m so disappointed that I won’t be rushing back.
Third time visiting the Ivy City Garden and it is excellent every time. Good service, great fresh ingredients and delicious meals. Love the decor and style. Reasonable prices for somewhere in the City of London. Will visit again soon.
Service was amazing. Had afternoon tea for my mums 60th birthday. Food amazng. Would highly recommend !
The staff were very attentive without being over the top and the decor is amazing
Great evening been here a few times but Tuesday was lovely went for my mum's birthday with family, thought it might be a bit noisy for her but she loved it! Definitely go back. Food, service, wine, bar and ambience were all great highly recommend. Easy to book through book a table and you receive reminders 👍
Fab as always. Food was brilliant, menu is not huge but has classics that are the best!
